This might be the worst Italian(ish) restaurant ever. They say it's made from fresh ingredients. Not so much. The meatballs were perfectly formed, gray and mushy texture. I looked at the box I was given for the sandwich.Sad day. A box for 10 lbs of pre-cooked meatballs. Anyone could do better. Avoid this place.

I asked my niece for Italian. She hadn't tried any, yet, so went online. She found this location, about 10 minutes from her house. It is in a strange U-shaped location, with marked parking spaces for the different businesses. The marijuana business got the bulk of the spots. Paulie's is inside, to the left. Small dining room with just a handful of tables, metal industrial chairs. A few people were waiting for their carryout orders. We were given a few simple menus and sat down. Not too many options, but I appreciate that, as the best places do a few things really well. My nephew and bf ordered spaghetti, one with meatballs, the other with a meatball and a sausage. My niece ordered gnocchi with a meatball and sausage. I opted for the chicken parmesan sandwich, which came with a small bag of Ruffles. My nephew ate his whole plate of spaghetti, which he had ordered homemade style, so the noodles were thicker than traditional store-bought spaghetti noodles. My bf finished most of his. Both stated that the meatballs were tender and delicious. The sausage was also a hit with my niece. Her gnocchi were perfectly cooked. All of them spoke to the deliciousness of the sauce. My sandwich had smaller pieces of breaded chicken in it. The pieces were very tender. The bread was crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. I liked the sauce, which I assume was the same sauce on the pasta dishes. It was not the typical sweeter American-style sauce. I appreciated the herb-forward flavor and savoriness of it. Prices were not unreasonable. The owner came out and asked us how we found him. He asked if we had tried a few places, in another part of town. There are all kinds of Italian-themed kitsch items scattered about, along with many photographs and newspaper clippings. Simple food done well. Definitely not the kind of place for a date! haha

Terrible signage. It's almost impossible to figure out where the place is. I arrived at 11:40 a.m. on a Friday which is allegedly during their open hours and they were not open. Just look for the sign that says Captain Insurance and walk in that door. I guess the restaurant is on the left. But I'll never know because they're not open.

Food was cold. Noodles not quite cooked. Sausage not heated through on the sausage rolls, but the bread was dry and tough on the outside and doughy in the middle. I really wanted to like this place because the family worked hard to make it.

I made reservations for Wednesday dinner but we got there and no one was there so really not needed. Although during our dinner, 2 other sets of people dined at the restaurant. Paulie and Joe are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure you have the best food and experience. They seated me and my friend at their window bay table which was nice. They also have an outside patio overlooking the city from atop and it just rained so there was a slight rainbow which was nice. So plenty of seating! Joe made some very good recommendations but granted everything on the menu seemed to be his favorite . I ordered the Stromboli and it was delicious. Joe recommended that I have the sauce smother the Stromboli versus having it on the side and it made for a much tastier meal. My friend ordered the tortellini with red sauce but Joe surprised her and mixed a little of the Alfredo sauce into it and it made for a thicker sauce which my friend liked. Prices were super reasonable. Really the service is what knocked it out of the park for me. Thanks Joe and Paulie!

I have to admits , it's a bit hard to catch Paulies open but we did it and called in an order to pick up. There isn't really a place to eat but orders to go are how it works. We ordered the chicken parm and the lasagna. They were served with a salad and bread. The food was ready pretty quick and the pickup was smooth and easy. The owner was great .... friendly and got our food ready and gave us a sample of the sausage he had available .... it was delicious and I'd definitely order that next time . The lasagna was cheesy, bubbly hot and yummy. The chicken Parmigiana was also very good. Fresh green salad with a vinaigrette. If you're craving some yummy Italian food, give them a call.

We have not been here yet, but the review about the meatball box is misleading. Pizannos is a noted top-notch Colorado made product. You sir, are a snob. I bet you did not pitch your supper in the bin because of the box ...We will be eating at this establishment tomorrow, and I shall be ordering meatballs and other items I have heard wonderful feedback about. I am certainly going to post an updated review with photos of before and after.... TODAY: Well Fred, you obviously have no idea what REAL Itallian food tastes like, nor do you have an idea of etiquette in the food industry. Now that I got that statement out of the way, let me get down to business about this establishment. The food was off the chain! I have not had gravy like this in 25 years. The spaghetti was homemade, the ingredients fresh, and the flavors and smells were sublime. The joint is very clean and delightful with family and friend photos adorning the walls. Kudos to Paulie and Rachel!! We have found our go to Italian. BRAVO
