Pat's Wings on Wheels

I happened upon Pats Wings on Wheels while attending the 3rd Ward Beer Fest on this past Saturday... even though there was a smorgasbord of delectable foods... the aroma coming from Pats truck caused my taste buds to dance in anticipation. The atmosphere was very welcoming so my bestie and I decided to set up our lawn chairs directly in front of Pats truck... we were able to watch both football and baseball while being served "Pats Original Wings and Honey Jalapeño Wings". While devouring my Honey Jalapeño Wings... Unbeknownst to me one of the Pats Original Wings was hiding under the delicious plethora of fries.. I brought this to Pats attention and he immediately rectified the matter by giving us an additional two wings... even though I was wrong in my counting, there was no argument just great service! I highly recommend trying the Honey and Jalapeño wings as they are to die for..!! Even better after leaving the club

This truck was 1 of the 3 that were outside of our building today. I had already tried one of the trucks previously, so I wanted to try something new. After taking a look at the menu, I saw this was sort of a Cajun/creole styled menu. I was surprised this business was on FB and Twitter, but not Yelp as of yet. The menu ranged from chicken tenders to wings to boudin balls. The boudin had me sold. They also offered a crawfish boudin ball. I opted in for the six wing combo, flavored with their specialty sauce as well as an all lemon pepper flavor. I told them I didn't want any fries but wanted to pay the difference for a boudin ball, but they didn't allow that. Gave me one extra wing instead of the two the lady who took my order said they would, but oh well we weren't going to eat that much anyway. My friend got the chicken tender special, tangy Asian or something of that nature. Flavor: the wings were excessively salty. & I am someone who usually complains of lack of seasoning. These were just so much! I couldn't really savor the flavor. I patted them down and was able to eat that way. They were pretty good! But my mouth was watering for the boudin ball, so I was disappointed. The boudin was just so flavorless! Now, this could be because my taste buds were ruined from the excessive salt on the wings, but I love boudin and was so disappointed I couldn't taste any of the flavor. As to my friend's food, when they gave us our food they told us they didn't have any tangy Asian so they put a cup of ranch in. Would have been good to be asked how they could accommodate the change in our order. None the less, we had already waited long enough for our food and it was cold so I just advised to let it be.The ladies operating the truck were very courteous and friendly. Kept a warm smile on their faces. Should this truck return, I do plan on giving it another go. I will update if my experience is any different! For now, all stars are given to friendliness. Due to excessive salt in one area, no flavor in another, & lack of offering customer accommodation, I have taken away two stars.

Pat's WoW came to my apartment complex the other day and I was ecstatic. My bf and I are huge wing lovers! We got two 10 wing combos (which come with fries) and we tried 4 flavors between them all. Pat's wings are perfectly fried with a thin breading for maximum crispiness, yum. The wings alone have so much flavor, the sauces are just bonuses. My favorite flavor was Lauren's special! Buffalo and lemon pepper together are magic! However the other three flavors we had were kind of similar tasting: the Asian glaze, pineapple and hotmama. and Hot mama didn't have as much spice as expected. But anyway these wings were delicious and I would definitely want these again. Can't wait to try his other flavors.

I decided to try these guys out since I was in the mood for a little wang.Anywho the person taking my order seemed to be uninterested and a bit annoyed by my THREE questions about their obscurely named wings.I'm all for naming wings after special things, I find it to be cute. However, either have written explanations or be ready to explain without the attitude.Anyways, I got the original which I mean....$10 for 6 wing pieces...a bit pricey.And the wings were okay. They weren't terrible. They just did nothing for me. And they tasted like they were fried in old grease. Disappointing and not surprising. It's hard to make a good wing. I usually will try a place twice but this one, I probably wouldn't venture out again.

I tried this truck for the first time last Saturday at a beer fest. There were plenty of food options to choose from, however I chose this place for several reasons. 1. The #patsoriginal mix was the bomb dot com! What I thought was "regular fried chicken" turned out to be a complete opposite in the taste department. My feelings were hurt when I ran out of chicken. 2. The owner was so damn cute! 3. They travel with a tv and cable so that you can eat and watch the game, like a mobile sports bar! #winningOverall, I enjoyed the food and will most certainly order from this food truck again at any future event I attend.

Service is excellent... Always with a smile.. wings seasoned well..fresh.. love the sweet potato fries...love following this food truck

I was in Houston for work last week and found the Best chicken on a food truck ever! The chicken was seasoned well, tasted good, friendly service and a music for the ambiance. They have those vibrating order call systems so you can walk into the shade and still get your food when its ready. Excellent food and service!

I have tried several different items from the menu. Definitely was not pleased with the food or the customer service. The wings are way too big for me and the fish had absolutely no seasoning. $14 for a 10 piece combo. Will certainly pass next time.

I checked out Pat's Wings on Wheels during a food truck festival in Midtown. A ton of people went to this festival so all of the solid food trucks I was already familiar with had long lines. Luckily, Pat's Wings on Wheels didn't so I gave them a try. While they only had 13 reviews when I checked, they had a 4.5 average. Their menu is pretty small as they focus on their wings. They have 10 or so flavors and you can either get a combo meal with six wings and fries, 10 wings and fries, or 15 wings and fries. For a $2 surcharge, you can substitute sweet potato fries. Other than that, they have hushpuppies, a chicken tenders and fries combo, and that's about it. We went with the Asian glaze 10-piece combo. The wings had a little kick to them but I wouldn't consider them spicy. We got a decent portion of fries, a little less than you would expect from a food truck, and they were unremarkable. Not bad but nothing to write home about either. But hey, it's the wings we care about. The wings were large which was a plus in my book and they were pretty crispy. They were good but I wasn't blown away here either. I'd say they're a little better than average when comparing them to other wing spots I've been to. Next time around, I want to try their lemon pepper of BBQ wings.

I ordered garlic parm& buffalo wings it was pretty great overall the buffalo wings were good and so were the garlic Parm except the parmesan cheese on it was really strong in my opinion( but if you like that you're in luck ) and I didn't taste enough of the garlic . Seemed more like just plain Parmesan covered wings . My biggest complaint is honestly the ranch it seemed watered down and had an Italian flavor to it . Seemed more like dressing . Just bring your own bottle of ranch and you should be good .
