I love this walk up only italian spot not only for watching them masterfully cook right friggin there but also the list of non stop home run dishes to choose from. Cavatappi Pollo is my favorite thing here by a long shot. Yum yum yum Service is always fast and friendly - great side recommendation with the Baked Goat. Love the communal styled tables so I could drool over everyone else's dishes.

Pros:-nice staff-easy to get a table around the dinner hour mid-week-not much wait time between time of ordering and getting food -red sangria was decentCons:-while red sangria was tasty, there wasn't much of it, so much of it was just ice-pasta was not good - hardly ate it as it was not that hot temperature wise and bread was inedible - felt like I almost broke a tooth just trying to chew itI'm giving the place a C+ (2.5 stars would be more accurate than 3).

Food is okay. Service is okay and ambiance is okay. Not bad but not the best for me to come back. Would I recommend...probably not if there are other options. It's not the best but not the worst.I ordered the pasta with chicken. Chicken is a lil tough and pasta a little undercooked. Calamari...4 pieces bubble gum texture. Not my cup of tea. Maybe to some.

Casual pasta place with good pasta portions and taste for the price! I really enjoyed the linguine pesto-cream--normally I don't order pesto but I'm a sucker for cream and it made it better imo! I thought the grilled calamari was tasty with a lemony sauce but didn't think it was worth $9 for 4 pieces. Space is a bit small so depending on where you're seated and your party size, and can feel a bit awkward being incredibly close to a different table (I felt like I could hear every single word from the table next to me).

Small Italian joint in Lincoln park but really good! I would skip the appetizers and go for the pasta directly. We got the linguine pesto cream and jalepeno gnocchi, which you could pick your own sauce. However we went with the default red pepper sauce and it was delicious. The pastas are not heavy and super flavorful!

This place rocks! A nice modern Italian vibe. Super affordable and very filling. The gnocchi was like a pillow that dissolved on my tongue. The little pieces of jalapeño added a slight kick and alternative texture. The bolognese was so creamy and a great blend of meat and mushrooms. Oh and how could I forget the complimentary bread; perfect for soaking up the sauce. I have nothing but praise for this place and will be returning quite frequently.

My sister her fiancée & I came here for a quick meal after an afternoon of libations @ Cooper Hawk Esquire. We were all famished as we haven't eaten all day. Pasta Palazzo is a tiny restaurant on Halstead just south of Armitage. The restaurant was quite busy when we got there & got the last 3 seats available. Our server was the only one & quite busy handling all of the order taking, serving & clearing the tables. We ordered 4 dishes to be shared family styleGrilled Calamari - 4 pieces of calamari Spaghetti Fruitti Di Mare - spaghetti w/tiny shrimps & bay scallops in watery marinara sauceJalapeño Gnocchi - Gnocchi w/Jalapeño saucePenne Funghi - Penne pasta cooked Al dente w/3 different mushrooms & cream sauce (by far the best dish)Kudos to our server who was handling all the tables.
