Interesting location. It's in what's called an International Food Court but when me and my roommate waked in, it was the only eatery open in the whole space.I don't know what the story is and whether it's just the area but we talked to the guy who was the owner of the eatery named Ray and he said he was closing soon but did have a few entrees left if we both wanted a two item combo. At first he was somewhat suggesting that we maybe go somewhere else, to an all you can eat place that we both knew about but then we decided we just go ahead and stay just order the two item combo. He said he even had to check to see if he had any rice left in and showed us the Rice cooker and there seemed to be enough rice for the two of us so we decide we go ahead and order the two item combo. We selected the curry chicken and the caldereta which is beef in a tomato-based sauce which is a dish that I like.Ray said he would go ahead and prepare our plates for us I asked if we can have some of the pancit noodles that was sitting there and in addition to the rice and he seemed hesitant at first but then relented and said that would be fine. He loaded up our Styrofoam containers and said he would go and heat it up in the microwave because he had already turned off the heat lamps for the food. So we waited a few minutes and he brought out of our food. The taste was actually pretty good. It was definitely satisfying. I wasn't sure at first but after we finished it seemed like enough and I did enjoy the flavors. I just wish that he was just a little bit more generous especially since he was getting ready to close and I figured he'd have those leftover anyway so why not hook us up and give us some really good helpings but it didn't turn out that way. All in all it was a good experience. Could maybe come back earlier in the day at some point where there is more food more selections and in the food is warmer and more fresh. Otherwise the flavors for our order were on point. The two item was $8.99 so not too bad in this crazy inflationary period. He said that there was another location that he opened up with a partner closer to Bellaire which is the Chinatown area of Houston. He said he had five screens over there so he's going to serve meals during games and he has a liquor license and he won't just be serving Filipino food but other American type dishes as well. Could be something to check out one of these days.

The food was really good and customer service was goodIt would have been a 5 star review if I didn't feel like I got played. He had a option for budget meal for 8.99. Two options of what's listed with white rice. U chose 4 items because there was my husband and I. And we also ordered Lumpia. Well when the meal came out, it was a lot of food and I was confused because I know we ordered budget meal. Well in the end he charged us full price for everything and something we thought was going to be under $30 came out to be $80-90 before we even added tip. To me, you see two people ordering food, it's obvious and I did state budget meal. Again like I said, food was good and he was nice but I felt cheated out of the meal because it was a lot and it was not what we wanted. My advice is, if you go, STATE loudly budget meal and repeat it twice for him to make sure you won't feel played like me. It wasn't worth $80-90 to me but budget meal would have been worth it

Was in Houston for the weekend, and after watching Mikey Chen's video I decided I had to go check this place out. It did NOT disappoint!! I had the sisig and a bbq skewer. I wish i had some pictures but I devoured it too quickly. The Sisig was slightly spicy and the lime added on made the flavor sensational. The BBQ skewer was oh so smokey. It tasted like it just came off of a campfire. The meat was very juicy as well.No complaints from me this was a 5/5 place

Before today, I've never left a Filipino restaurant hungry and sad. I literally had to buy food from a different restaurant because the bbq pork was dry and fatty and the vegetables in the veggie stir-fry tasted old. Each bbq pork cube was 1" but half was fat and not to mention hairy!!! Given this and that there were only 5 pieces on the skewer, it was not worth the $8. I've had excellent Filipino food before and this place is a disgrace.

Joey's filipino cuisine epitomizes excellence. I have experienced a myriad of filipino restaurants in Houston and neighboring cities, and Pasayahan Sa Nayon's eatery is unrivaled. All the other filipino restaurants pale in comparison to this restaurant. My girlfriend and I sampled several dishes: pork barbecue, beef kaldereta, pork dinuguan, sisig, lechon Katalin, pork egg rolls, pandit, and, for dessert, halo halo. My sensitive tongue tingled ecstatically when my palatte experienced delectable seasonings and palatable meat. A+

This place is really tucked away but I'm glad I found it. Stop by the international food hall. I came late on a Monday afternoon on a whim and this was the only place open in the food hall. I asked the really nice lady at the front counter for a recommendation and she suggested I get the pork Sisig. Not a dish I had ever heard of before, but after a little research I found out it's a sour pork dish. It came out sizzling hot and smelled amazing. I ate it with a plate of white rice. The dish itself consists of crispy pork cooked with onions and lots of oil. It's got a little kick, a little sour, and lots of great meaty flavor. I'm a fan. This isn't a health good to be sure, but it was delicious. 9/10. The lady at the front very nicely also brought out a cup of chicken soup. It was very much like a broth and very very hearty. Also a 10/10.The international hall itself was interesting. I'm sure it gets busy on the weekends but on a Monday I only saw one other guest in the time I was there and this was the only restaurant open. With tip the total bill ended up being in the ~$20 range. I wouldn't call it super pricy but not a value meal either (at least what I got). I would totally come back. This is an interesting spot.

Decided to finally check out this place kind of hidden inside a food hall after Mikey Chen of Strictly Dumpling stopped by for gis Houston YouTube vlog. Thenfood hall is labeled International Food Court on the outside, but it's mainly a filipino corner of food in a largely vietnamese shopping strip. We were very happy to taste homestyle filipino meals full of flavor.Top favorite was the sizzling spicy pork sisig served with steamed white rice. Next was the pork tocino sislog served with garlic fried rice and eggs that would make a great breakfast dish any time of the day. We also had the special palabok noodles, but we definitely preferred the rice entrees. Our food was made to order, but they also have a mini buffet available if you want a quick 2 entree plate for only 8 bucks. Check out our photos for more of their offerings!

Came here and ordered two plates and the food was very disappointing. First they don't give you a lot of meat for what you pay for. The pork bbq was dry and you can still see some of the hair from the pig on the pieces. Half of the pieces were pure fat too. And then the adobo was also very dry. I had to cut it through with force. Not to be cocky but I've cooked adobo a few times before and I'm not great at it but I can do a better job than them. That's how bad it was. It just makes me ashamed as a Filipino that people would put out product like this as a representation of our country's food.
