Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, wonderful food. Charles was our waiter; he has a quiet and calm demeanor and he truly seemed to want to make sure we had an enjoyable time. We selected our food somewhat randomly--one entree, a few small plates/appetizers--and he suggested an order for the dishes, and had our shared entree plated separately. We were there for a special occasion, and it was indeed special, as well as memorable, thanks to Charles. Don't worry if he's not your server, though. The food was interesting but not weird, very nicely prepared. I wish we lived closer--we would be frequent regulars.

First I have to compliment the staff. The service was excellent from the start . The ambiance was very interesting he art work was Italian or Greek? They advertise that it's Mediterranean. We ordered appetizers and drinks several rounds. The special drinks about $15 per drink were very good very tasty. Just lacking the punch of alcohol. The dinners were lacking. The clams and spaghetti were so sandy it was hard to eat. The pork chops were very tasty just over cooked. We ordered medium and both were well done. The gnocchi were not light pillows of pasta. Our bar bill was more than our food bill so we did enjoy ourselves.

The drinks are great. Everything tastes fresh. I would go here for a relaxed meal, not a brief one. The quinoa could be enhanced by adding a bit of infused oil for flavor. It could use an over easy egg to make it more substantial also.

I came with my boyfriend on a Friday night for dinner. It was packed when we arrived - good thing we had a reservation. The inside was very upscale and aesthetic.I ordered the ricotta gnocchi, which came in a very large portion. The texture of the gnocchi was perfectly chewy, and the short rib meat was very tender. The dish was very delicious. For dessert we ordered the double chocolate fudge cake which I quickly devoured - it was so rich and creamy! Overall, we had a great experience and would love to return to try something new.

This is a very nice restaurant. I am often opinionated about restaurants -- I am little confused why not about this. I have no strong feelings one way or the other.We three all got pretty good drinks and appetizers and entrées. Nothing to write home about.The service and décor is perfectly good. Maybe we chose badly on the menu.It was kind of funny when the waitress asked if we wanted to hear the daily specials. Sure! And the answer was: some soup.We are almost next-door to a grocery store. If we go there and get some cans of better soup, is there a corkage fee?

I had a great meal at this lovely Mediterranean restaurant in Durham, NC near Duke University. It was great seeing my high school friend and fellow Georgetown Prep Little Hoya. We had the salmon and branzino for a wonderful dinner. We started with some fresh olives with pits, and a nice octopus tissue (very tender and fresh). The service was great, we had some sorbet and chocolate cake for dessert. This is a very lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere although a little noisy. I recommend this place highly.

We hosted my grandmother's 90 birthday in one of the private rooms. The food was tasty but the service was incredible. Everyone who helped our family (27 people including 5 kids under 8) was kind and helpful. The room was nice. I would recommend and absolutely host events there again. Thank you Parizade!

The food here is the absolute best! This particular night I took friends just for deserts and after diner drinks. It did not disappoint!!! The vanilla Creme brule' is the best I've ever had. It's really hard to find a restaurant that serves Tawny Port. Parizade always has it!

My wife and I made our 3rd visit to Parizade restaurant last weekend. The food of the service are both very good, and the restaurant itself is both attractive and interesting. The maître d' seems to be professional and efficient.The reservation was for 6:15. By 6:30-6:45 the restaurant seemed to be completely full of customers, including several large parties sitting at long tables in the rear. The result was a lot of noise as well as a feeling of being crowded, to the point of having to be careful not to literally run into the staff. This was consistent with our previous experiences there.Back to the food, I have had the very thick pork chop twice, and it's the best I've ever tasted. I also had a ribeye steak on a previous visit but did not care for it. The menu listed broccolini and kale is coming with the pork chops. However, we did not receive these. Nor was the bill adjusted in any way for this omission. Wanting more than one thing to eat, I ordered fingerling potatoes which were bland. The restaurant does make French fries, but they declined to substitute these for the fingerling potatoes for some reason. Additionally, there are only 4 side dishes offered.Over and above these difficulties, the biggest negative in my experience at this restaurant has been how overly dark it is at the dining tables. I requested a second battery powered light for the table. However, I was still not able to see the meat I was eating well enough to slice the good part and leave the fat. This is both ridiculous and unacceptable.As you can gather, my experiences at Parizade have been mixed. I will probably return, but not for quite some time.
