Having felt another craving for a fancy sandwich, I returned to Parish cafe on a Friday evening. At 8pm, the establishment full, though a few tables opened up within a few minutes.I ordered the Cheffy 26.2 ($22.95). From Chef George Mendes at Amar, this sandwich had Vietnamese style braised pork belly on a toasted baguette with piri piri and smoked paprika mayo, pickled carrots and cucumbers and topped with cilantro sprigs. sided with mixed greens and lemon vinaigrette. At a glance, this seemed like a fancy, upscale bahn mi. That, however, undersells the sandwich. The braised pork belly almost oozed juices while remaining tender. The pickled vegetables and side salad seemed extra fresh, which is an odd description for pickled stuff. Perhaps the acidity of the pickling brine possessed just the right brightness. One nitpick on the side salad - the vinaigrette seemed too oily.

When will I remember to ask server for chilled white wine. My Sauvignon Blanc was not very cold But... Sean to the rescue, he took back the Sauvignon and brought me a glass of chilled Pinot Grigio. I'm happy now but wait there's more....My B&G Lobster roll was the best lobster roll ever. It's really a LBT, Lobster, bacon and tomato on a toasted hot dog roll. Trust me, the bacon and tomato are unconventional but 'who knew' delicious.

We came in and were able to find seats before the lunch rush came in! We got a corner seat and it filled up quick inside! If you want sandwiches this is the place to be. They were super difficult to eat though but the portions are HUGE. I got the Hajj. With everything together the sandwich was perfect. The meat by itself could have used more seasoning. It came with a huge salad. The sauces on it really brought the sandwich together. My husband got the fox which he loved. It was properly spicy. The we wear pink on Wednesdays was probably my favorite cocktail I've had so far here in Boston. Our waiter never really came back to check on us until we had flagged him down for the check. Overall the concept of different chefs having different sandwiches on the menu is pretty cool.

Best place for late night bites! Service was always great when we went. They have a nice outdoor seating area if you want to grab a drink and people watch. The sandwiches were enough for two people (or one really hungry one). When we went there was a deal for 50% off sandwiches after 10pm with a purchase of an alcoholic drink.

Really cool spot on Boylston. They do sandwiches inspired by famous chefs and restaurants in Boston. Absolutely delicious and you can eat outside under a big umbrella. The service is nice and the ambiance is great.

A hit every time. BIG sandwiches with generous sides... but don't miss the onion rings either. Beer selection is great, service is great. Ambience is pub-ish but I find a variety of people of all ages here. Vegetarians should note that substitutions for sandwiches are the best way to get a good combo. Don't settle for anything, and keep in mind both the exceptional truffle and exceptional saffron aiolis. Bon apetit! I can't wait to go back.

The food was just okay. It was nothing to write home about. The concept and idea is wonderful but the execution was sub par. Clam chowder was all potatoes and watered down. The sandwich I ordered was supposed to be filet but it was skirt steak. I would give it a 2 3/4 stars if I could but I went with a 3 for it doing the job of feeding me but, again, nothing to talk about.

Simply put- SO GOOD. I love a good sandwich and this place has sandwiches of all kinds. Flavors, shapes sizes you name it. To be honest I was overwhelmed by the selection of sandwiches. So overwhelmed I told the server to just surprise me. I'd be happy with anything he chose. And wow did that surprise SLAP. He asked if I liked spicy, game over. Out comes this beautiful sandwich with so many flavors and colors going on. Never told me what the surprise was, I just ate it. I later found out it's called the Fox. If you eat pork cutlets and like spice please do yourself a favor and order this sandwich. Oh also the broccoli cheddar soup **chefs kiss**. You could tell they make it from scratch there. Not one of the heat up in a bag types that a lot of restaurants seem to do these days. This restaurant had great indoor and outdoor seating alike. Will be back when I'm in Boston!

One of my fav all time spots in downtown!! Their truffle beef sandwich is such a winner. I swear I'm addicted to it. It's so flavorful; the beef is tender; the ingredients all just complement one another and everything about it is so good. Their desserts are also so tasty. Also a great spot to grab some drinks with friends. Service is quick and always so nice. Highly recommend!

Ate lunch here with friends while on a girls trip. Table and kitchen staff went above and beyond to check for a friend's allergen, even recommending safest options for her. Their thorough courtesy was so appreciated. The outside patio area is nice and spacious. Another friend loved her pumpkin espresso martini. Food had nice portions for price. Zuni roll was yummy.
