Pappas Burger

This was my first visit to Pappas Burger. When we walked in you see the menus on the wall. Then you place your order at the register and then get seated. After your meal you'll pay. There were plenty of seats filled with folks and plenty of parking on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered their fried catfish sandwich with sweet potato fries and mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was an average kids mac. The fish sandwich was pretty good. I like my sweet potato fries with a glaze or powder sugar or atleast fried crispy. So when they are plain they're just ok to me. I don't have to have them or the mac again. But I will try a burger and maybe a shake.

I have nothing to say but good things about his placeLoved the general vibes of this place. So many Houston Sports pictures and memorabilia around. They burger was huge, and delicious! Loved how soft the buns were and seasoned the patties are

It was a casual burger & fries kinda placeFood was good but not outstandingService- now the server Nick that we had was great. Very personable and friendly. The front counter girl needs some re-training. Spoke the the manager about that situation. We love Pappas restaurants but this was not at the top of their lists.

You can tell they source their beef from the steakhouse. Incredibly juicy and flavorful patty cooked perfectly to requested temperature. No need for heavy seasoning or toppings with the beef is this good. Onion rings are obviously not frozen. Excellent as well. Sat at the counter and got great service from Avery who was very friendly. Shake was good too. I'll be back whenever I'm in Houston.

One of the best burgers in Houston. Burgers are huge and flavorful, and the fries are amazing. You have to get a milkshake they are to die for. The inside gives off a 50's type diner theme. Employees are very nice and helpful. A must go if you're in Houston and want an amazing burger.

Honestly, if not because I know this 3 thousand calorie meal can kill me, I would have buy these more often. I love their bacon cheeseburger and their Mushroom and Swiss burger. Huge and tasty burgers that you can tweak to your liking. These milkshakes are amazing, I ordered the butterfinger one this last time. Overall awesome and delicious meal.

Dropped in to Pappas burger for a weekday lunch. Wasn't crowded, and didn't have to deal with a line. Parking was easy and got a spot right in the front! We ordered at the counter right when we walked in, and were given our recipe to find a table. I ordered the Mushroom swiss burger (subbed my bun for romaine wrap) and sweet potato fries. For my starter I ordered the wings (bare) with sauce on the side. When we sat down, a waiter approached to confirm our order and ask us what we wanted to drink. I don't really understand the point of this kind of service.. but our waiter was polite so I went with it. Our food took way way way too long to come out. I had to go to the counter and ask how much longer it would be, as I had a meeting I was going to miss. They apologized for the wait and the food came out shortly after. The food itself was delicious.... the price for the food was NOT. I am not sure if I will be back to pay $25+ for a burger and fries. We were taken back by going to get burgers for lunch and ending up with a $70 meal (with tip).

This is clearly the place to be on a Friday night! Come early if you intend on having a weekend dinner because the parking lot fills up quickly, and the place gets packed. If you're going to dine at Pappas burgers, you must get a milkshake. The peanut butter and Oreo milkshakes were the stars of the show. The veggie burgers are of better quality here than most places. The patties are homemade, and they use almonds and cranberries. Pro tip: we switched out the mozzarella cheese with pepper jack cheese and added fresh jalapenos! Each burger comes with a side, and our waitress recommended we do half fries and half onion rings. The portions of the sides are also humongous, so plan to share or have leftovers.While we largely enjoyed our experience dining here, a big pain point was the temperature of the food. Our mozzarella bites and fried pickles/jalapenos were room temperature at best. Fried food should be served nice and hot! And beware of the salt content in the food - the fried pickles had too much, the fries and mozzarella bites had none.

This location has really went down hill- $20 a burger and lack of attention to detail and tons of extra charges with out mention of extra cost is bad business.- of the 4 burgers made- 3 were not prepared correctly - service slow- fries were way undercooked and soaked in greese... limp grease sticks- bacon cold like it was hours a head and half ass put on bun
