Pammy's is an excellent choice for upscale Italian food with impeccable service and a trendy ambiance. In terms of food, we started with house bread, octopus, and gem lettuce for our first course, all of which I highly recommend. Our second course was the lumache, which proved to be a solid bolognese. Our third course was the loch duart salmon and the skirt steak. The salmon was plated beautifully and had unique textural elements. The skirt steak was all gristle, which we sent back. To finish the meal, we had the chocolate hazelnut torta & bread pudding, which we thoroughly enjoyed :)I'm terms of beverages, the cocktails were excellent and they offered an impressive wine list .In terms of service, the staff here is top notch. We always had fresh bottles of water, cocktails to drink, and new silverware for each course. When we were disappointed with the skirt, a manager came over to apologize and removed the steak from our bill. Overall, service was 5/5, ambiance was 5/5, and food was 4/5. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for elevated Italian food in an unfussy, sophisticated atmosphere, with a refreshingly bold menu that excites the senses.

Came here for our Anniversary. The place is pretty unassuming. Small simple marble tables. The decor consisted of painted brickwork. The natural light was nice not being too bright but still well lit.We started with the fresh baked bread, which had great flavor paired with a simple olive oil. We got drinks with good recommendations. I had the Mainstay which was a nice chilled lightly fruity gin drink.From there we were treated to a novel take on Italian cuisine. For me the standout was the Mafaldine with Stripe and spicy oil. The textures in the flavors matched what I've come to expect from a nicer prix fixe menu.The real stand out at Pammy's is the wait staff. They are pleasant, knowledgeable about the food and although we liked our waiter Casey, they worked together well and we had a few passing interactions with the other staff too. One of them agreed how ludicrous some of the plates were 'this shouldn't work, but it does!'You should go see the magic of what shouldn't work.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the 3-course menu for his birthday. We sat outside on a warm summer night--perfect ambiance! Our server was fantastic, guiding us through the menu without being overbearing.Dishes (6 for two):1. Squid Ink Gnocchi with Lobster (3.5/5) - Good first bite, but became too rich and heavy.2. Yakitori Chicken (5/5) - Amazing starter. Flavorful chicken paired beautifully with peaches and oolong crema. Only quirk: unexplained side of lime and radish (which complemented the dish well once explained).3. Loch Dart Salmon (4/5) - Well-cooked and tasty, but not extraordinary.4. Lasagne Bianca (5/5) - Highly recommended. Rich, but well-balanced by the cipollini chutney and side salad.5. Skirt Steak (4.5/5) - Delicious and perfectly cooked. The pepper sauce wasn't my favorite.6. Lumache (4/5) - Not as good as I remembered. An overpowering herb garnish and slightly oily texture detracted from the dish.Drinks deserve a special mention. We loved both the cocktail of the day (a fruity blackberry daiquiri) and the Basque flight.Overall, a lovely birthday dinner with mostly excellent dishes and great service.

Came for dinner and overall the food was pretty good but the portion sizes were very small. We were disappointed with how small the duck breast was - we expected it to about half of a duck breast but it was probably 1/6 of a duck breast. Overall the food we good, we had- squid, tuna tartare with caviar, mushrooms, and duck breast

A friend recommended this restaurant so we gave it a try. We made a reservation for Wednesday night at dinner time. Warning: If you make a reservation, they asked to put a credit card in file (can cancel up to the day before, but if you don't show, you will pay. For 2, I think it was around 140 or 150). With this, we made a point of showing up. The restaurant was a little hard to find. There wasn't a big sign outside of it, but with a little help from my GPS, I was able to find it. The decor was very simple yet sophisticated. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the staff and sat at our table. We sat at a very large table, and throughout the night, other parties joined the table. With the reservation, we knew that we'd have a fixed menu, and we'd be able to pick three items from it. It was a little unclear if drinks were included in that price and dessert was not. The food was tasty. However, the salmon was slightly undercooked for my taste and incredible salty. With the other food dishes and dessert, I definitely felt satisfied when I left. Our waitress wasn't the friendlist. She was kind of abrupt at times and seemed annoyed that we got caught up in conversation instead of looking at the menu. Furthermore, the restaurant wasn't very busy (it was before a holiday) and we stayed after our meal to talk. It was almost closing time, and there were other patrons in the restaurant still eating when they asked us to leave. However, it was a little abrupt and not the friendlist. It wasn't like we were holding up others from being sat, and our bill was paid. But I also get that the staff might want to go home too

Outstanding ambience and impeccable service. Communal table is great for couples. Food was exceptionally tasty. Although some of the dishes were a little one-dimensional (mushroom lasagne), others blew my mind (octopus, pork and beet combo).

This is a terrific restaurant, run by a husband and wife team, that is just a pleasure all the way around!

Had a great experience at Pammy's for my birthday! Think: florals, cozy leather booths and wood tables, and natural lighting. Our server was extremely nice and friendly, making sure to accommodate allergies and giving us refills of bread while we waited for our dishes.Between the 2 of us, we tried 6 dishes total:Tuna crudo - very high quality fish and the citrus it was served with was a nice, refreshing touch. The cured meat on top (speck) didn't really add anything though.Rainbow carrots - both of ours' favorite dish. Very flavorful and had a unique texture of crispy silken tofu.Octopus - hands-down the best octopus I've ever had. Just so savory and flavorful.Skate wing - extremely tender with a rich, umami flavor. I wish the couscous on the side had been more flavorful too.Celery root gnocchi - solid but did not blow us away. Had a refreshing but not overly oily bit of spicyness added to the sauce, which added flavor but wasn't too much for someone bad at handling spice. Only had 8 pieces though, which was much less than the other pasta dishes we saw being served around us. Veal loin - tenderly cooked, but not very flavorful. The highlight of this dish were the potatoes that were very flavorful and well-textured: crispy on the outside and decadently soft on the inside.Overall, I would recommend this place for the ambiance, the service, and some really tasty, unique dishes. Just go in knowing that the portion sizes are quite small (even compared to similar dining experiences) for $79 per person with 3 dishes each. Wow this place is a must try for anyone in Boston looking for food that's as delicious as it is unique. My boyfriend and I came here for an early Valentine's Day dinner and it was hands down one of the best dinning experiences I have had in Boston. The decor is really cozy and has a great feel for a date or girls night. The service was also excellent and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience.The food was delish but I will say it is catered more towards someone who is more adventurous with their food. Not a single thing that we ate was disappointing. My top three were the Lumache, the duck, and if your feeling adventurous the skate wing.

This place is so delicious. While we did have to wait over an hour for a table, the food did not disappoint. I got the octopus and lumache. The lumache is was out of this world, one of the best pastas I've ever tasted. So fresh and homemade. The octopus was good as well but literally the smallest portion ever so a bit underwhelming. I loved the sourdough bread that they give for free, it was so good. I would definitely come back but just stick to the pasta.
