Helloooo Elotes and michoacana paletas!Since my last trip to Mexico, I've been missing the taste of those savory, tangy corns and the sweet, creamy coconut popsicles. Who knew that I could find a treasure trove of these in South Philly at Paletas Y Helados Bambino? I love that this place offers a wide spread of snack choices to fulfill both savory and sweet cravings. I only got to try their plain elotes so far, but I'm definitely eyeing the hot Cheetos elotes and a side of pina colada for my next visit. Price-wise, I'd consider them as fair with elote around $4.50 per cob. Service here is efficient and adequate.

Some strange flavors here. Cheese flavor, corn, guava? Worth a check out on a hot summer day. The ice cream is good and is better when its summer. They take cards as well. The waffle cone is well made. Highly suggest experimenting with some of the odder flavors here. All is good, nothing is worth avoiding. Definitely worth a shot!

Cost goes up and the quality is terrible, went here and got a chamoyada with a mango with chips and tamarind bits, it wasn't peeled right? The product had cheese which is not included originally. The mango was not ripe and very hard yet they charge full price... disappointing.

It was a hot summer day and we were enjoying a day of being tourists. I was thirsty and hoping to find a nice beverage in Little Italy. Nothing caught my fancy so we kept walking. I see folks coming out with ice cream and thought that'll do. Did it ever!! It is one of the rare times where the menu photos look identical to what is served. The pina colada in a pineapple was incredibly refreshing -- we felt bad for holding the line up as they cut & blended the fresh pineapple. Would definitely go again!

The review is for the crepes. I picked strawberry, banana, with nutella and chocolate drizzle. They gave generous amount of the fruits but I didn't taste the Nutella. But for $5, it's a decent crepes. They also have a lot of flavors of ice cream, cut-up fresh fruit, and other frozen dessert including chamoyadas. Great Mexican dessert place. Service is fast and friendly.

What i beloved to be a quick ice cream stop turned out to be a 30m ordeal. They run on diesel or slow speed.Besides the slowness, there are no other issues. Ice cream is very tasty, food they serve is very typical for a Mexican ice shop. The paletas (ice pop) variety is large and the place is very clean. They need to improve on speed. More people they see the more money they make. It's crazy to make a line across the street to also have to make one here.

Was randomly walking and saw the line out the door. Figured why not try something different. You get spice up front then sweetness from the Icey and the salty, spicy sweetness on the back end. Only 6$ and worth every penny. - Nieve chamoyada with limon and mango ice

Figured I had to review this as a Yelp newbie and frequent visitor-- I visit this little ice cream store all the time for their awesome flavors (and variety!!). To name a few of my favorites: strawberry cheesecake, ferrero rocher, (they used to have a brownie flavor but they've taken it down ), Gansito (best flavor in my opinion-- Mexican snack with strawberry jam + choco covered cake). I like the textures and how closely matched the flavors are to the real thing. The price is also reasonable too (2 scoops for $3.50 )! You won't regret trying out their stuff, they also offer other goodies if you aren't a fan of ice cream!

What a lovely little shop! I've been searching for literal decades to find the kind of bubblegum ice cream I had growing up in New Mexico. It was delicious and well worth the trip! Their menu is even longer than what I'd seen in pictures so I'll be back to try everything else as well. The workers were so kind too. I also really liked walking around the neighborhood afterwards, it seemed like everyone was outside having a good time and looking out for one another. If you don't wander like I did it's only a 30 minute walk from Center City.
