C-stores are not the best experience typically and Pak's doesn't disappoint in that regard. It is not the best place to stop for much and reminds me of a very old 7-11. The building is not inviting and doesn't necessarily scream at you to pull in for anything they might have However, the bumping house music makes up for a lot.

From the outside it can look pretty shady, but don't be fooled. This place is awesome! For a convenient store that is. Every time you walk in its a party, with house music blaring! Not only that, they have a beer selection that tops any other gas station/convenient store I've seen. Pretty good selection of microbrews. Also, the food is cheap and the staff is friendly and cool.

One word to describe this place: psychedelicIt's neon green, they play bumpin' music, they've got a great selection of beer, and there are a lot of "different" neighborhood characters. The employees are always friendly ... not your typical quick-e mart. This is where I get my lotto tickets. So if I happen to win, they'll get a small well-deserved cut.

Tons of homeless guys everywhere. But you can buy alcohol after hours and play the illegal slot machines for money. And if you ask nicely, they'll call a dealer over to the shop for you. Yes. I'm serious.

4 stars for loud music, bright walls and having a friendly staff.Had to take away some points for not having good coolers for the soda section, they're always hot. NEVER FEAR... the beer cooler is fine. The staff is super nice and knows who you are, ask you about work, they remember you. Which is good, because if you get to know them they'll remember you after 12. Love this place.

Just stopped by here for the first time after moving into the area - I was immediately struck by the BUMPING house music playing over the speakers. A cornerstore that sounds like a nightclub is my kind of place. I made my way over to the beer cooler and was absolutely amazed by the beer selection - I'm somewhat of a beer snob, and seeing beers I had never heard of at a cornerstore shocked me. I commented on this to the gentleman working the counter, and he told me that not only does it change weekly, he could also order something for me if I had any requests. Best cornerstore ever, in my book. I'm going to be buying beer there for a long time to come.

Im giving it 5 stars because it's Pak's (although credit card receipts ring up as Tiger Express) Great beer selection. Good cigarette selection. No prices on any of the food-stuff, but more expensive than they need to be. The music is not as crazy as it used to be, but you still get a good selection of house, trance, Gao, Ibiza and other electronic music at any time of the day. Frequent incense burning, and they sell that as well.Crazy ass customers. Lots of drunks getting last minute beer/wine and stoners getting their chip/ice cream fix, but that's what makes it Pak's. The new "bullet-proof" class isn't really cutting it, but guess they had to do it. Staff is good. Owner is a little brusque, but most of the other guys are pretty cool. They know the regulars.

Paks is our neighborhood convenience store. We probably stop by here a few times a month. They always have crazy music playing inside, it smells like incense all the time, they have a good selection of alcohol and snacks too. The staff is always friendly, and most of them remember you, if you're in their more than a couple times. The four stars is just due to pricing, but it's in-line with any other corner store out there.
