I enjoyed a generous serving of Jajangmeon, essentially noodles with a black bean sauce. Even though it was early in the evening, there were already a good number of folks eating at the restaurant - a sign of good things to come. I savored the sweetness of the sauce on the noodles which were beautifully cooked, striking a good balance between noodles and sauce. At around $11, this meal can't be beat for a cheap eat, complete with onion, pork, and other yumminess in the sauce along with a generous portion of radish on the side. I would recommend paying the extra $ (around $3-4) for the extra meat, as alone, there is minimal meat in the sauce/dish. Like others have mentioned, this place runs cafeteria style, so silverware and water is self-serve and your food comes out on trays. My order came out quickly, and the restaurant was impressively clean. I would recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for some yummy noodles, and I look forward to returning and trying new dishes!

I got the beef jjaamppong and it was delicious! I didn't realize it came with shrimp and it was not mentioned on the menu, so that is something to keep in mind. Next time, I will see if I can order with only beef. But the flavor of the broth and the veggies were delicious! Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and will be coming back.

This place really lived up to the hype with the best jjajangmyeon noodles in town! I loved how it was mostly self-serve and everything was super authentic! There aren't as many tables but it wasn't super busy for a weekend night and the restaurant was brightly lit up and clean. The noodles are made fresh. You can't go wrong with ordering any of the dishes on the menu which didn't have as much variety as I had hoped but the broth warmed me up on this cold night!

The BEST place to come to for authentic Korean-Chinese food. Their best dishes are Jjamppong and Jjajangmyeon. I personally prefer the black bean noodles, but the broth for the Jjamppong is rich, spicy, and delicious. The texture of the noodles are perfect. Big portions too that are good for sharing if you wish. The restaurant is styled similar to a cafeteria. Great place to come for lunch. I also recommend trying the sweet and sour pork as well.

This is the best jajangmyeon noodles (seen on the bottom of the picture) I've had hands down with a decent portion size. The sauce is not too sweet or salty like at other restaurants I've tried in the past. The beef jjamppong (on the top) was delicious as well with a flavorful broth. They provide complimentary pickled radish when dining in and I recommend combining that with the jajangmyeon for an extra crunch. You can order with a worker at the front or at their kiosk. Also, you do need to get your own silverware and water after ordering. There is also a lot of seating space so large parties can be seated fairly easily if it is not busy.

I've gotten into Korean food lately and one main dish that I wanted to try authentically was Jjajangmyeon, which is a black bean noodle dish. The black bean sauce consists of pork, vegetables, tons of onions and the black bean sauce itself. The noodles were chewy and delicious. Paik's Noodle was the perfect place to try that. They have a couple of other dishes that I wanted try called Jjamppong, which is a spicy soup. Jajang Bap is also another great dish.

I was craving some noodles and stumbled on this gem during my search. This is tucked away on a plaza at Longpoint and Blalock. You'll see the sign KNN from afar with a chef on it. Parking is limited, so maybe come before or after meal time. They do have quite a good amount of seating, but they also do take outs. We ordered from the phone and the person who took my order was so sweet. Thankfully she understood my mispronunciation of the dish. Once inside you wait in the line for order you'll see bags of take outs on the countertop. They're fast. You can see three chefs working through the windows. It is a very open concept space. As for the food we got the jaengban-jjajang and Jajangmyeon. The portions are generous. When I mean generous it isn't two skimpy servings. The jaengban-jjajang is definitely gives 4-5 adult portions in that one box. I couldn't believe it. It felt bottomless. The vegetables were stir fried very well, so it retained the crispness, the seafood in the jaengban-jJajang was not rubbery and the Jajangmyeon sauce had good depth of flavor. If you're a noodle enthusiast definitely give this place a try and come with friends because it's a lot of food.

Paik's Noodle is a chain that specializes in its seafood noodle soup, jjampong, and black bean noodles, jajangmyeon. The restaurant is located next to the other local Korean restaurants and has a smaller menu. The seating is a bit small, and during the weekends, it can get packed and have limited seating. There is a self-serve station in corner for water, utensils, and yellow pickled radish. I ordered the jjampong, jajang bap, jajangmyeon, and 4 piece fried dumplings. All of my Korean friends rave about their jjampong, and I think it is definitely worth your money. You get a huge serving with tons of noodles and seafood, especially mussels, but my favorite is the jajangmyeon. It's one of the better ones I've had in Houston. It comes with plenty of sauce and coats the noodles well. The jajang bap is black bean sauce with rice and a fried egg on top. It also comes with a side of jjampong soup. The dumplings are also super delicious and perfectly seasoned. It's good even without sauce. Overall, I think Paik's noodle is a great place to get Korean comfort food on a budget!

Paik's Noodles is a Korean cafeteria-style noodle spot which offers a variety of noodle and side dishes. The restaurant itself is very clean and comfortable. Service is relatively fast, but there may be a little wait during lunch rush hours because they make their noodles fresh from scratch. However, the wait is worth it because the food is absolutely amazing. The portions are huge and there is free radish and sauces to go along with them. Overall, Paik's Noodles is definitely recommended if you are craving a nice hot bowl of Korean noodles!FOOD REVIEW:Jjajangmyeon (5/5): noodles were freshly cooked, black bean sauce was flavorful and delicious, and the assortment of onions and seafood was very well seasoned.Jjamppong (5/5): noodles were perfect even in hot broth, broth itself has a nice seafood taste and is not too salty, mussels and little bits of beef were tasty. Not pictured: Tang-Suyuk (5/5): crispy fried pork came out steaming hot, sweet sauce on top is a perfect balance to the dish.
