Sweet potato fries, whoop! Now that's what I'm talkin about. Ohhh wow. I'd pay $3 for this again.

Oxford Restaurant on the street with the same name, is strictly a takeout joint these days. No more stools at the counter. No more deuces along the wall. Orders are either via internet services or walk in customers, like me. They are written by a speed demon friendly scribe, and the kitchen has been moved to the front of the house behind a glass barrier, where the meals are prepared and packaged. Disappointed, but willing to play it out, I asked for the Denver Omelet (mushroom, onion, pepper, tomato & cheddar), home fries and rye toast; which was ready in 12 minutes and handed to me neatly packed and bagged. Eating in my car wasn't what I had in mind this morning, but so be it. Everything was pretty good, with loaded egg shell, well done nicely greased taters with extra sautéed onions on top, and thin sliced rye with butter already applied and melted through. It was tasty with the splash of hot sauce I added, and would qualify for four stars had I been able to enjoy breakfast at their counter. Instead, the view from where I stood where the room as blocked off by tables, was of a disheveled space used for collapsed boxes and stored dry goods. It didn't appear clean. Really too bad they have let the shop slide and not attempted to return to its former full service luncheonette glory. This business model may make it easier for ownership by eliminating the human interaction, but it also removes much of what was charming about this and other small neighborhood houses - that very human touch. 2.5 STARS

3/22/2017 - Came here on a Sunday at 11am; the wait was very long. They need more cooks. Bathroom is unisex. Only one waitress. One cashier. Korean owners. CASH only. Place was cold on the inside even if u sat in half way.Pancakes don't look appealing but they're pretty good. Wings have a good taste. 2021 - I came here with a friend of mine, you can't eat in, you have to order takeout, and it's cash only. When I ate my food, it wasn't as good as I remembered, and it's too expensive for the little portions they give. Might try this place again in the future once more to give it a shot, but I wouldn't rely on this place.

I love waffles and this place meets my waffle expectations! We ordered a few different things all were really good. Customer service was pretty good, that's always an important factor. I will definitely return again soon.

The food is delicious here. I recommend calling before you order verses just going into the store to order because sometimes the line is long. I always get my favorite cheese eggs with hash browns. Or a BLT! I love it

Visiting from NC and ate here a couple times. Great neighborhood breakfast joint! CLEAN! (even the bathroom). Pancakes are ON POINT! Friendly, fast service. Being a tourist, had to try the local meat called "scrapple" made of scraps; I think bacon is better ;)Looking for a good, cheap breakfast?I highly recommend.

I would have taken a picture of my platter, but I wolfed it down too fast! I had the fish, eggs and Grits platter. Scrambled eggs with cheese where perfect, fluffy and delicious, enormous piece of crispy flounder fried to perfection and a generous portion of buttery grits! Perfect, exactly what I wanted! Will definitely order from here again!!!
