Our Legends Cigar Bar

This is a very nice Cigar bar. I have not been to many cigar bars in the city but the few I have visited have nothing on Our Legends. This is a members only cigar bar. The only reason I was there was for an event that Our Legends and Crown Royal put together for people to be the first to view a privately owned stunning display of original black and white photographs taken during the center of the Civil Rights movement from 1963-1965 in Montgomery and Selma, Alabama through the lens of the Selma Alabama Police Department. Cocktails were provided by Crown Royal and it was delicious as well as the hors devours. The walls are adorned with African American legends and so you get a sense of history while you are there. There are large flat screen tvs around the walls so you definitely won't miss a game. They have a private area for the smokers and it is well ventilated. This is a very upscale cigar lounge. I am not sure what it takes to become a member but it's definitely worth checking into if you are looking for a nice Cigar establishment to be a part of.

Yesterday was not my first time visiting and it was the worst experience I've had. My friend and I walked in with a member of the establishment where he was greeted with a warm welcome. We were not greeted at all. We sat at the bar and of course I speak to her to be polite. I asked the bartender if women could become members and that I would be right back after I make a quick stop to the ladies room. I walk back to the bar and she was engaged in a conversation with the "member " that brought us there. I didn't want to interrupt their conversation so I sat there a while and moments later, I decided to call my significant other to see if he wanted to join. Seconds into my conversation she told me that I had to get off the phone because only members can use their cellphone. It's hilarious how she was so engaged in a conversation how quickly she reacted to me talking on the phone. I discontinued the call and asked her for details about the membership. She explained everything to me and handed me an application. As I was opening the application, i told her that my boyfriend may want to join. The first thing out of her mouth was that "We don't do joint applications". The 1st thought that came to my mind was that I didn't ask for a joint application. She had this sly attitude towards me while trying to "act" polite. So at this point I was irritated and gently tossed the pen onto the bar in front of me. She asked me to leave and I left with no problem. There is no way I will be a member there. That's $3600 a year they won't be receiving from us. I like to support black owned establishments but not with that customer service. The thing about Houston is that there are always other options. Sorry I didn't list her name. She never introduced herself.

Well me being a cigar smoker myself, I have tried to get into the place just based on the few good reviews it got on Yelp, and when i get to the door, they tell me its a "PRIVATE" cigar lounge, $1500 to get in. Mind you I have money to buy my own cigars, drinks, or What have you. I just wanna check the place out. Must be the reason it was only 8 people occupying the building. I say if its a private establishment, don't advertise it to the public on Yelp like its open to anyone. A waste of my time.

Came here for an event, free crown royal, food, and art! What more could you ask for. While it was a large crowd it was extremely nice! There was a secluded room for cigar smokers that wasn't attached to the bar. Perfect for someone like me that can enjoy a cigar but not the smell. I will be back, more than likely when there is not an event. While it was still spacious I would love to go when it's not as busy. Great staff, great crowd and convenient location.

I went to this cigar bar about a week ago, can I just say that I had an awesome time. Its very laid back but a fun place to come and have great conversation, watch sports and network. The bartender made me the best Martini ever and he was so cool. The manager was a sweet heart and the owner was very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place, and hey you just never know who you may run into

First thing: This is a members only cigar bar. I repeat, this is a members only cigar bar. If you come here and do not have a membership you will have a BAD time. Occasionally they do host open events. Unless stated otherwise this is a members only venue. Now the review: amazing staff and ownership! I personally like the membership aspect because it gives this historic venue an personalized edge. Everything is top notch and well attended to. The bar is always fully stocked with very pleasant bartenders. Every Thursday the host a members night with complimentary food from local restaurants. I love the wall of legends as soon as you walk in. This is a great place to relax after a long day; or watch a game!

Incorrect and misleading open hours. It is NOT open till 2am nor 12am. We Ubered here. And we are very deeply disappointed for my friend.

Nice private cigar spot with a sizeable patio and excellent bartenders. I have only been once, but they appear to always have a new vendor rotating through selling cigars.
