Otaka Sushi & Ramen

Beautiful dinning in restaurant! Services and food are awesome! Tried Teriyaki steak, Eel avocado sushi roll , Gyoza! Will come back!!

I'm typically skeptical of restaurants that claim to specialize in both sushi and some other type of cuisine. I have to admit though that Otaka was pleasantly surprising. I had the Ichi Spicy Ramen and it was fantastic. The noodles had just the right amount of firmness, the broth was flavorful but not overly salty, and the pork was tender and tasty. I also had an eel and avocado roll because I had to know if Otaka could truly be good at both sushi and ramen. Turns out they are! The service was also great. Very helpful and people seemed genuinely happy to be there. I'm so glad they decided to open in Newtown Square. I'm definitely looking forward to going back.

I went in today for my second time visit and they never dropped the ball. Fantastic ambiance and I've enjoyed every single bite! I was still having trouble making decisions on their huge menu at first, but the staff were very friendly and patiently explaining the items to me. I highly recommend the sashimi to everyone because they are TOP NOTCH (especially the sweet shrimp). I am gonna be a regular at this restaurant! c:

First time at this restaurant. The sushi is average at best and in some cases tasteless. The rainbow roll was loaded with cucumber which was disappointing. Service was earnest. Bottom line is there are better sushi options in the area.

I recently had takeout from Otaka and it was really delicious. My husband and I had a Philadelphia roll, a tuna avocado roll , a shrimp tempura roll and yellowtail sashimi. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Best sushi I've had in a while. The rolls are full of fish , not just one little piece. The prices are not outrageous either. I will be making this my regular sushi place!
