I didn't think the place was all that bad as most of the reviews on here. Being a resident of Spring Branch I've tried out most Mexican seafood places in the area. The food here was good on the times I've been. I didn't like the music level being so loud to a point I can barely hear the person talking next to me on a Sunday evening. Also, I do agree with the previous comment about overcharging on the receipt for drinks/food, but I didn't mind it as it was only a few bucks different than the menu.. overall it's a very popular and beloved place by many locals and I do appreciate that.

This is where they filmed the movie Oston Powers.There are a lot of bad reviews for this place, and it gets a lot of hate and negativity, but I think that overall it's a nice Mexican seafood place, and while personally I didn't love my meal, I did like it, and I would definitely give it three stars for being a local business and being decent.However, I gave an extra star because some of the awful reviews just seem fake to me and it's definitely not bad enough to have such a low star rating. Also, it's beloved by many. It's really popular so somebody must like it. And I do, for one. Barbie as well.

I came with a group of co-workers after a referral that they were great for ceviche/seafood. Not so much....Interior is large, there are piles of tables and chairs in one big open room, with plenty of tv's at every angle for the soccer match or local news. First bad sign was that we were the only people there during lunch rush. The waitress didn't bother coming to the front but just gave a lazy wave at all the tables, so we picked one and waited. Service was slow and depressed. She didn't want to be there, she expected the complaints on the food once they started coming out and didn't give much effort to make it right. The menu is huge. There's a big focus on seafood. I included pics of the menu, so I won't get too detailed, but if you were a group of people craving ceviche and shrimp cocktails etc. this is exactly where you'd be excited to go for lunch. I ordered half a dozen oysters and a mixed ceviche tostada. Others at my table ordered a ceviche platter to share, fish tacos and an octopus ceviche tostada. Everything came out fairly quick, but everything was just plain bad. I'm usually more descriptive, but when you boil it down, it was all just bad. The oysters were scrambled in their shells, shucked wrong and some even on the wrong side shell where the liquor had drained out leaving a dry oyster nugget. The last one I ate, tasted slightly off and knowing that is not a game you want to play, just left the rest untouched. All of the ceviche in every form on the table was bland and flavorless. The octopus was steamed with no seasoning, fish, oysters, shrimp etc. all had zero salt and no lime on them. The fish tacos according to my co-workers who ordered them were mushy and bland. The two folks at my table who ordered them pushed their plates away from them after a couple bites. Like so many places in the Longpoint/Spring Branch area, the sketchy exteriors aren't always an indication to the quality of food inside. There's plenty of fantastic finds nearby but every so often you just come up short and find a place that is, well, bad.

If you go here and sit at the bar I would highly recommend paying your beers and/or drinks right after you get them otherwise they will overcharge you.. This happened to us twice already definitely never going back.

Delicious oysters! Great Service Great chips and salsa , Charro beans were also to my liking! Nice and clean restaurant. Definitely my go to spot for oysters from now on! Grilled or Raw they are incredible! Thank you! -Santangelo Balli Gonzales

Lunch Special of Fried Shrimp and the Grilled Catfish with Seafood Cream Sauce, Mashed Potatoes & perfectly grilled Mixed Vegetables Broccoli, Cauliflower and Carrots were all delicious. The Mano Margaritas were sweet & tajin rimmed were very tasty. The wait staff were attentive and friendly. The food & service was great!

The service is completely awful. The waiter was completely rude and unprofessional throughout the meal. The music is also so loud that you cannot have a conversation with the person seating right next to you. As far as the food goes, it's fine. However with so many other better options near by I would suggest not going here.

No recomiendo este lugar este lugar para comer no merece una estrella despues de desirle a la mesera dos veses que se estaban tardando demaciado la comida la trajeron despues de hora y media y la comida muy mala las sodas con muy fuerte sabor a cloro y pedi hablar con la manejadora y se porto muy mal en pocas palabras comida,servicio y manejadora lo mas horribleMexican Seafood
