We decided to give it a whirl and pop in for the hub's birthday. This place caught us completely off guard. Osteria G's is friggin' delicious! Everything we tasted was top tier. Mac's service at the bar, and his cocktails were tasty. From the bread service to the strawberry trifle -- we were enthralled. I kid you not, the ribeye had a range of flavor that I personally have never experienced in a steak. (That's quite embarrassing as I've had the best of them, or so I thought.) The chowder, meatball Wellington, oysters-- all divine and I can't wait to return. Mac shared that there's a wine dinner coming up, and if we're in town, we're there! Cheers + thanks for a great night!

Visited OG for first time with my family (it was their second time and they insisted I try Osteria G as well)- it did not disappoint.Restaurant is comfortably located near Apex, Holly Spings and Cary- and they have a great setup. We found outstanding service - attentive and knowledgeable Indoors is comfortable and intimate.Food is outstanding. We found a great menu with something for everyone and an even more exciting variety of specials- all executed with care and quality. All dishes are creative, with excellent ingredients and genuine Italian or European style flavors. We had fettuccine, short rib and salmon specials - all perfectly cooked.Wine selection is excellent.Desserts are creative Americanized versions of traditional Italian with great flavor.Kudos to chef (Manny?) and staff.I spent a year looking for a good Italian restaurant in Raleigh and greater Raleigh areas, and while we found a few decent Italian American, Osteria G is the first one that measures up to some of the best "genuine" restaurants in New York, Miami or others- congratulations!

This is still one of our favorite places! It's so good that we start craving the food days before we come. We always love to see what the specials are- because they NEVER disappoint. Every single person that works at Osteria G is phenomenal.

This was our first time since OG put out their Spring menu. Ohhh my my my, the Lemon and Ricotta stuffed Raviolis with Scallops was incredible. Like we just visited Italy good!! I could place a pick up order right now just thinking about how insanely delicious they were. OG just keeps bringing all the stops-so glad they are in our little town.

I came here on a Wednesday evening after my friend recommended it. The restaurant has a beautiful and romantic ambience, is very clean and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The menu is limited if you don't eat pork or seafood but I was able to order the autumn risotto which was full of flavor and very filling. Expect to pay at least $25 for an entrée. Warm bread with a flavored butter was a nice treat the beginning of the meal.

Came here when visiting family and wow, the food was amazing. They rotate their food often so pay attention when they come around with the specials. Cute ambiance inside and the service has the small town feel you are looking for.

The food is outstanding and very different from other Italian restaurants. The bread is amazing and the spreads are too. They bring it on from New Jersey. I highly recommend this restaurant. Only issue is it's very noisy.

Visited Osteria G for the first time and both the food and the service was very good. The atmosphere was also very nice. Surprisingly my friends and I were able to get a table on a Friday night.

We went to Osteria G for a family celebration. We were warmly greeted and immediately seated - we did have reservations, a must on the weekend - most nights, actually. We were given a few minutes to peruse the cocktail menu before our drink orders were taken. I had the Hibiscus Margarita - it tasted almost delicate - sweet but not too, barely a taste of tequila. It was good - I'd definitely get it again. We opted not to get apps and went straight to our meal. I ordered the Sea Scallops Herb Pappardelle. Six scallops on top of fresh pappardelle with a light, slightly lemony sauce. The scallops were tender and sweet. The pappardelle was a little on the thick side - too thick for how delicate the sauce was. The sauce itself was less flavorful than I expected. It was good but I wouldn't get it again. My husband had the flounder and my SIL had the ravioli - both evening specials. Like me, they said their meals were good but they wouldn't order them again. My MIL was sharing some of our pasta so only ordered the meatball appetizer. Three huge meatballs served with ricotta. They were delicious - now that was something I'd definitely order again. There were a lot of couples on dates but the restaurant was rather loud even with an attempt at sound dampening on the walls. Service was great - attentive yet unobtrusiveOur overall experience was good but not great - though I'd like to give Osteria G another chance, maybe on a Wednesday for the 4 course prix fixe tasting menu - with reservations, of course!
