Easy to walk past this charming little restaurant but the sidewalk chalkboard caught my attention. I went with the Blackened Swordfish special w/crab meat over spinach. Fish was extremely well prepared with a nice spice to the crust. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the friendly service provided by Angela. One slight critique; the dining room was a bit warmer than I would have liked which limits how long you might stay. To be fair it's a very hot day but by early evening the room temperature should have been better.

I've visited here once. The ambience is quiet. I would say it's casual very relaxing atmosphere. The staff was very attentive and kind. The menu has plenty of options. My favorite dish. Here was the penne vodka, and the pepperoni pizza was very tasty and felt fresh. it is BYOB and so they do not serve any alcohol.

Honestly, I don't think I have anything bad to say. But I also don't really have anything good to say about the meal. The service was good and the vibes are nice, but the food itself was very forgettable. All of our dishes were perfectly okay. The portions were pretty solid and the prices are reasonable. If you're looking for a reliable, unpretentious meal then I think this place is a good choice. I personally like to be a little more wowed when dining out so I probably won't be coming back here.

A very good experience at this cute little BYOB in Rittenhouse. The decor is modern with Italian flair. It was welcoming. It was a little cold from the front door and cold air coming out of the vents. Apparently the heater was broke. By the time we left we were freezing! It took a little away from the experience because the food got cold quickly. My friend and I went for lunch during restaurant week. For $20, the meal was excellent! The artichoke appetizer was delicious! The artichokes were easy to chew in a lemon sauce that had just the right amount of citrus flavor. I used my bread to get the most of the sauce! The apple and beet salad was fresh with a light dressing that brought the flavors together. The vodka penne was delicious with a light, flavorful sauce that paired well with the penne. The pasta and crab was also delicious! The sauce was also light with plenty of nice sized pieces of crab that were perfectly cooked. The portions are a good size for lunch. We opted out of dessert because we were full. The service was quick but not rushed. It would be perfect for lunch in a work day. Our server Zoila was amazing-warm, friendly and helpful. She apologized and tried to get the heat taken care of but it was out of her control.

We went here for restaurant week lunch yesterday and really enjoyed our meals! We loved the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant as well. The restaurant week lunch special includes 2 courses. We started with the bruschetta and Caesar salad for our appetizer courses. The bruschetta was extremely tasty and had large mozzarella on top. My Caesar salad was good as well, however I didn't like the roasted nuts that were added in. For our lunch courses, we had the burgers, prosciutto sandwich, and the crab capellini. I was a little surprised to see the burgers and sandwiches weren't served with anything at all. All of us enjoyed our dishes and they were good portion sizes. I'm glad we tried Osteria during restaurant week and will be back again soon!

We wandered in sometime at 3 pm during restaurant week. Since it was restaurant week we had to go with the set menu, so I ordered the margherita pizza, sole, and creme brulee. My husband got the mussels and tiramisu. Even though there weren't many people eating at the restaurant the service was quite slow. We were waiting around for awhile and it was hard to get the servers' attention since they were avoiding eye contact, so we had to flag them down a couple of times. The pizza was good but there was a looooot of mozarrella and the crust was very thin/crispy, so it was kind of like a reverse pizza with a cheese base and a thin crust as a topping haha. I mean if you love cheese then that's not a big deal. I ended up giving half the cheese to my husband lolThe sole had pasta to go with it and it was good. The pasta was very thin and it complemented the fish nicely. After eating pizza for appetizer I could barely finish the pasta since it was a lot of food. The creme brulee was amazing.

My friends and I went here for restaurant week because one of our reservations got canceled, but we were really pleasantly surprised. We ordered the bruschetta, melted cheese with olives, beet salad, a prosciutto sandwich, crab spaghetti, and penne alla vodka. The food was all very good and fresh. The free bread in the beginning was piping hot. Our overall favorite dish was the crab spaghetti. There was a generous portion of crab in the spaghetti and the flavors were very good. The place was also byob, but we didn't bring any alcohol, but good to know for next time! Would recommend especially for lunch deals!

This is a nice Italian spot that is good for a last minute dinner with friends. We really enjoyed the crab cakes, the arancini, the burrata and the chicken Parmesan. It's definitely not the best Italian in the city, but we enjoyed everything. We also love a good BYOB, so that's always nice. Also, the ambience was nice as well. There's a lot of cool greenery inside.

Tasty pasta with a cute interior right on chestnut street (took over square in square location). They were very accommodating to the large party I came with, especially with some of the dietary restrictions (GF and vegan). It's a BYO, which is excellent, and you can order small app-side salads, which I appreciate instead of stuffing your face with a full one or coordinating who to split it with. I got a seafood ravioli (a special), and it was very tasty. I wish the portion was a little bigger, but maybe it's better that it wasn't. They serve bread and olive oil with rosemary in it to start. You can opt for a dessert there or head over to Jenni's right next door.
