Great experience during restaurant week. Call atmosphere and nice large windows and a second floor. Service was amazing. They serve Tapas style dishes. I came here a few years ago and the quality and service was just as great. They easily accommodated aloud party of 9. We started with the bathtub hooch, passionista, few margaritas, and a sweet tea. They alcohol drinks were great! The sweet tea was just ok tho. It looked like ginger ale it was so light. For We started with the Brussels, calamari, and cauliflower. The cauliflower was one of the best ive ever had, so much flavor! The Brussels were great too. The cauliflower was a little underwhelming, could barely taste the meat and sauce was like a thick hot sauce. The seabass and brisket was good. The brisket came with like a potatoes au gratin type of side, pretty good. The salmon tempura was just ok, the sauce it came with was spicy. The lamb chops were good. The jerk chicken was SUPER SPICY! Beware! The oysters were good couldn't really taste the pork belly. For dessert, the churros were bomb!!! Creme was great as expected. The banana bread pudding was good, but not great. And the chocolate dessert was tasty and nice presentation! Overall great experience and definitely recommend!A few of the pics are from when I went before but they no longer serve it.

Chef Ruiz is renowned as one of the finest chefs in Raleigh, and we're always eager to follow him wherever he leads, thanks to his exceptional talent. We've dined at Oro before and have a particular fondness for their featured menu items. Upon our arrival at the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the host, who was incredibly gracious. Fortunately, we had made a reservation, allowing us to be seated without delay. Our server, whose name escapes me, was delightful and displayed impressive knowledge of the menu. We enjoyed a wonderful conversation with her on various topics before placing our drink orders: my husband chose a cocktail, my son opted for a Coke, and I decided to stick with water. Later she came to take our dinner order: Here is what we enjoyed: Lavender Haze 18mt gay | peach | lavender | peppercorn | mexican chocolate bitters Truffle Mac & Cheese (V) - cheddar cheese | fines herbs | panko 13Lamb Lollipops (g) - toasted almond romesco | charred peach pico | green onion 36Pork Spare Ribs (g) - house guava barbecue | green onion 16Baker's Oysters (g) - pork belly | kale | parmesan cream sauce | panko 21Colossal Shrimp (g) - charred salsa verde | garlic lemon butter 16Grilled Octopus (g) - curry tahini | cherry tomato | garlic | chickpeas | baby potatoes 25 x 2Chocolate Dome (V) salted caramel brownie | vanilla gelato | fruit medley | caramel 15The Campfire (V) Make your own s'mores at the table | chocolate sauce | graham crumble | fresh fruit 15Every dish was served in a timely manner and cooked to perfection. It's evident that Chef Ruiz has a genuine passion for both the food and its presentation. Although the restaurant's decor may feel a bit dated, the stunning floor-to-ceiling windows offer a remarkable view. Ample parking is available, with both parking lots and street options. Overall, our experience was fantastic; the food was exquisite, and Chef Ruiz never fails to impress.

Our tasty outing to Oro completely exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed amazing service and incredible food featured on the family style tasting menu.A few of my personal favorites included :-The grilled jerk chicken was super tender and full of flavor; my mouth 's still watering from thinking about it. The presentation was on another level and that Caribbean heat was on point.-The wild mushroom carbonara was a very savory dish which featured truffles, wild mushrooms, and duck pastrami. - The sesame cauliflower was tempura style and lightly coated with a sweet yet tangy chili sauce. If there is one thing I'm a fiend for, it's crispy cauliflower-The half-shell Peruvian scallops were unlike anything I've ever had. The scallops alone buttery and mildly sweet but, the combination of the citrus and tangy toppings put these morsels on another level. -the delectable whole prawns were a must have for any garlic lovers like myself .- The banana bread pudding was amazing but, the creme brûlée was literally the best I've ever had.... PERIODT!!! This place is perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic evening. Check them out

Great, quick service. Solid food options that are interesting and fresh. Good ambiance and a handsome open kitchen.Given the options downtown, I'd say this is THE place for any corporate dinners. I wish it was open for lunch!

I just can't say enough about ORO. The food is always excellent. I have tried things on the menu that are not my favorite, but the dishes are so well done, I end up a fan!We have celebrated several birthdays, a graduation, business dinners, and regular meals here. It has always been knock it out of the ballpark with great food and great service!

Was in Raleigh for a Galentines weekend and decided on Oro for dinner. We had an 8:30 reservation on a Saturday night and was able to walk right in. We were seated at the top as a party of 4 at a very small table that had us a little concerned but we rolled with it. The waitress started us with waters and took drink orders and things got sort of interesting from there. Long story short we didn't leave until after 11 because all of our food came out staggered. We all ordered at the same time but the food came out in bit by bit. One of my friends ordered the Prawns, which she said was mushy and had to send them back. A different server brought out our food and the waitress could have done better with making sure to check in with us and give an expectation of when the rest of the food would be out. My biggest gripe was just really the service because all of the food that I tried was delicious. We had 2 different types of steak, the Lumpia, Mac and cheese and Mushroom Carbonara. The Chocolate done had a cook presentation and the banana bread pudding was amazing. I would visit again either hopes that service is a little smoother. Parking was iffy. There is a lot across the street but it filled up quickly. We were able to find street parking close by so it was fine.

Nice experience for Raleigh. The food was good. Overpriced, but tasty. I just don't think any of it was worth the price and portion size.

Yummmyyyyy dining experience. We ordered Branzio Fish, Jerk Chicken, Brussel Sprouts, Mac n cheese & Banana Bread Pudding for dessert. Everything was yummy! Service was prompt and music wasn't too loud. Would recommend for a pre movie/show dinner to share with family & friends.

This is the worst dinner experience we have had in awhile. If I could give this zero stars, I would. Service was slow, and on top of that, our waiter knocked my husband's drink over and though he did get him a new one, didn't bother apologizing. As far as food- the tempura cauliflower was ok. The octopus was overcooked. The hanger steak wasn't cooked at all-and it was the special of the day. It was literally raw. We asked our waiter and he said "yes that's medium rare" when it clearly was not. We should've sent it back but my husband was over the whole experience by the end of it so we paid our bill and left. Could not have been more disappointed here.
