Located in the shopping center next to Harris Teeter. Easy parking. Good customer service. Depending on when you call, they may be booked and busy! The sesame chicken is divine!! By far one of our favorite menu items. I also love the shrimp fried rice with extra egg and pork egg rolls. The restaurant is small and cluttered. They recently opened the inside up to the public but I'm not sure if you can dine in. Regardless, it's my go to for takeout Chinese. I've been going here over ten years and they never disappoint.

The absolute best sesame chicken I've ever had. The general tso could have been spicer for my liking though. The portions were HUGE and the sides of broccoli were generous as well. They only have to go which I don't mind

BEST TAKEOUT IN THE TRIANGLE. Excuse my empty plate but I had to show how much food I still had leftover after eating my dinner. I stumbled upon this place because I used to live by Southpoint Mall. I noticed how busy they were and the line to order/take out. Months later I finally tried it and YEAHHHH. The food was fresh. I've had typical takeout but it can feel heavy or I just don't feel the greatest after I eat it. Not the case tonight. The chicken was juicy and the sesame sauce tastes very good (even paired with rice and noodles). Also, I read another review previously about this place actually serving white meat chicken. From what I had, that's what I was served too. If I get takeout from a mall or other restaurants, I don't know what type of chicken it is. It's either chewy or stringy. This was not the case at Orient Garden. As for the lo mein, the portion was good. The noodles are nice and thick, I filled up pretty fast. When I would just want noodles living by Southpoint I went to P.F Changs and that mess was trash. Wish I would've found this place a lot sooner. Orient Garden is so good. As for the building, they don't allow you to go inside but the menu is large enough to see. I also went at 7:30 (Prime Dinner time) and they were accommodating all orders, including DoorDash/ubereats. When I ordered the woman was so nice and told me 15minutes. I came back in that time and my order was ready. I will definitely only eat Asian food from here.

I've been doing the Asian food thing since agreeing to do the Daniel's fast with my church. Orient Garden has always been my favorite, and I even forgot to order white meat only, but it didn't matter because it was mostly white meat. The food is always on point and it's so much for the value. You pay a couple dollars extra but you get twice as much. There is no actual service because it's a storefront opportunity. You can't eat in the restaurant, but when you could, they were always attentive. I do miss being able to sit down at their spot, but I understand that they are so busy as a to-go spot that they can't handle in store service. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, but you only interact for a few minutes. I wanted Mongolian beef, too- but with the fast approaching, I couldn't do it all. 100% the best spot in Durham.

It was not a place we'd venture into so we left. It looked shaggy. Needs a big cleanup

When you have someone sick at home you get comfort food. What could be better than good Chinese?I ordered the chicken and mixed vegetables and surprised my spouse at home. It felt so good as she was eating it! Just what the doctor ordered!Be careful out there, there's more than just covid, flu, and RSV going around. She's got bronchitis.

We've been searching South Durham for a good Chinese restaurant for years. This one is definitely the best we have come across. Currently, they are not open for indoor dining. They have a great setup for takeout so you don't even need to go inside! They also have paid attention to small sanitary details like having a dirty pen bin so you are only picking out a clean one.The portions were huge! We ordered two combination dinners and we probably could have shared one! The combination dinners come with your choice of soup, egg/spring roll and white/fried rice. The hot and sour soup was nice and spicy! The spring roll was also great. By the time I got through the soup and spring roll I was already getting full! I had Kung Pao Chicken as my main dish and made sure to ask for white meat. It was yummy and I had leftovers for days!

Tl;dr: there's a reason they're always busy-- it's that good! I love Chinese food and I love American-Chinese food. Yes there's a difference! This place has VERY good American-Chinese food (that's all we've tried so far) and it shows bc they are always busy. We ordered their chicken wing appetizer, sesame chicken and Lo Mein. The chicken wings were breaded and fried but the wings tasted like they were well seasoned and marinated before being bartered and fried. Their fry batter was also perfect because it yielded perfectly crispy coating that isn't bready or oil-soaked. The sesame chicken was perfect. The bite sized morsels were crispy but held onto the thick sauce very well. There is enough bite to each piece that you can tell it was cut from chicken thighs which make all the difference in chicken dishes. The lo mein was very tasty but simple! It was a nice addition to the rest of the meal.

This place is amazing. I love the pork fried rice. The General Tao's is also a great menu item. My only complaint is that they don't have wonton soup.
