On The Right Track Cafe is located on Jenkintown Road in Glenside, PA. I've passed by here a million times and never saw it. It is such a small place, right by the railroad tracks.Upon entering, me and my husband were greeted like the people knew us all our lives. One of the regulars even got up to give us his table. There are only 4 tables inside this small Cafe. There is additional seating outside as well. We felt right at home as they told jokes and made small talk. Megan, our waitress was great as she showed me the different sizes the pancakes come in. The menu is not large, but everything is made to order and may take a while to make. We weren't in a rush, so that was fine with us. My husband decided on a ham, sausage and bacon and cheese omelet (he loves meat), home fries scrapple and coffee.I got a cheese omelet, medium size pancakes (they were huge), bacon and coffee. You can help yourself to the coffee (if you like) or they can bring it to you. The coffee was delicious!!Like I said, the food takes a while, but it is so worth it. Taste just like home cooking (because it was)!Pancakes fluffy and delicious (did I mention huge) ! So glad I didn't get the large ones. The omelet fluffy and cheesy! Home fried potatoes and scapple were also delicious! It was enough for another meal. We laughed and talked and ate. It was a great time. So glad we stopped by. They will definitely see us again. Shout out to Vicki as well!! Her and Megan made our visit the best!P.S. We also took two platters home. 2 Crab cakes, home fries & Coleslaw. Also delicious. I was full for 3 days! Also, they only take cash!!!!

Can't believe I've been passing by this cafe for years without stopping in. Their food is fresh, home-cooked, and delicious.Pretty classic american breakfast options like pancakes+waffles, omelettes, breakfast sandwiches made to order, as well as lunch options like burgers, reuben sandwiches, avocado toast, etc... pretty much anything you want.So far I've had the western omelette and pork roll, the western was one of the best omelettes I've ever had (the eggs were cooked perfectly). Also the owners are so friendly and nice to chat with and will accommodate any preferences you have. The ambience is cozy with a lot of vintage decor which works well in my opinion. It is sometimes tricky to tell if they are open but they usually are during the morning (unless it's a Monday.) I hope more people give this cafe a try! It is well worth it :)

Cute little restaurant. The place is super small and cozy. The staff is very friendly. However you will wait a very long time for your food. Once it arrives it is fresh and delicious. This is a place to just sit back and enjoy the experience.

Glenside is not a normal part of my breakfast turf, but it could become an integral piece of my morning routine if On the Right Track proves consistently a wonderful place for coffee and wholesome early meals. Housed in the former Ardsley Septa train station, this memory of the late 19th/early 20th Century greater Philadelphia transportation network retains all the charm and even some of the inconveniences of life at that stage of American history. The Warminster line still stops here, bellowing its outlandishly loud horn right next to the wood framed structure, offering a noisy reminder of what has been and still can be on its reduced schedule. I was sitting outside under a large yellow tarp when the single car electric train pulled to a stop right next to me, practically blowing me out of my chair. Much more effective than the good java I was sipping to wake me up. This was a modern day Thomas boisterously saying hello. Back at ya! But, most memorable was the quality of the breakfast (Veggie Omelet, Rye Toast), and the natural warm hospitality provided by Vicki and Geaton, the owners/hands-on operators of this timeless kitchen. They served me an overstuffed omelet filled with every vegetable in their inventory, plus a handful of home fries when I asked. It was immense and seemed made of 4 eggs, not the expected 3. It was delicious and enough food for the rest of the day. Although coffee was self serve when I arrived, after being seated along the rail, both Vicki and Geaton came out to check on me and refilled my coffee mug. The price was lower than anticipated. Only $9 for all that, when it could easily been dollars more. This is a locals place, where the customers were regulars and accustomed to hanging out with friends. Still, they had no issue with me joining them this morning, and sharing this magical place.

Love this little spot! Everything is made to order, so it does take just a little longer, but the quality is worth it. Owners are so kind and approachable - they check on you, ask for your genuine opinion on the food/service, and know most of the guests by name. I wish there was more inside seating and that people weren't constantly walking in and out, because on cold days my husband and I have to go somewhere else, but we'd prefer to go here.

These folks and that place never disappoint!! The Burgers rival 5-Guys (and I do NOT throw around praise like that lightly) and their approach to customer service is a marvel. They once offered me a complimentary meal because I called when they'd just closed. I mean c'mon - who does that today?!?! Proud to say this cozy little breath of fresh air is in my town.
