Small family business where you hear, "Thanks Uncle Bob! Breakfast was great. Leaving to open a table for other customers." "Drive safe." "Please" "Thank you.l "God bless you."8 booths, 3 tables and 11 counter seats. Everyone is hustling! Close on Mondays for now.Sat at the counter and loved watching "Bob" cook. Standard scrambled eggs & sausage. Good pricing. Clean. Good service.I'll be back next time I'm coming through Clifton Heights.

You ever try a place because it's there? Yeah. That was me today. I like diners. I drive past this place every now and then. I just decided that they were getting a shot today. And the best way I know how to describe this is that there was nothing bad about my experience. It was fine. It was also nothing special. My French Toast was good. It was good enough. It wasn't gourmet by any means. It was just decent. No real distinctive flavor to it but not bad at all. And service was friendly to me. Standard diner service all the way. Don't expect much. I didn't.

If I could give it less than that I certainly would . It is dirty it is nasty the waitstaff is very rude and hopefully you like tons of random strangers hair in your food because that's what you will get this place needs to be shut down and inspect it because they have tons of violations it is so disgusting . For your own health and well-being never never eat a restaurant

This is a small hometown diner with great food and a small hometown atmosphere. The regular staff has been here for a generation and usually know the patrons by name if they're regulars. On weekends when they're slammed, a little patience is needed, as it's a popular spot and there's only 1 or 2 cooks. Most of the time, this is a relaxed little joint where the locals love to have breakfast and lunch. If you want quick Sysco production food and happy sing-songy waitstaff that dote on your ever whim like your Momma - go to Denny's or iHop. This ain't the place. For people who only leave negative reviews on Yelp like "JL" and claim that people are racist, disregard them. You wouldn't know it but most of the folks who patronize this place are a complete mixed bag from all over the world. Myself included: a Democratic Gay dude in a predominantly'Red' town, married to a Black man, with a mixed race kid. It's total baloney! The folks here are kind decent people. If you'd rather go up to YummyII where strange people sh*t outside their car doors in the parking lot, go ahead and make that your choice. Over the area Choices, this one is my favorite.

Haven't been here in years (their current hours open make it semi-difficult for a nite-owl like me. Hopefully I will change that soon. I miss getting up most days in the morning; currently I feel like a vampire!). But when I did go I enjoyed it. A nice diner feel, cozy spots to sit and possibly their most popular feature are the mini jukeboxes at each table. For a few cents you get to hangout and listen to some tunes eating diner food. Yes it's probably very easy to make diner-style food items but some popular chains don't even get that right, so you're better off going here instead.Delicious eats, nice people that work there. I want to come by next opportunity I get!Fun fact: This location was once used for a commercial featuring the Pennsylvania lottery groundhog Gus!

Olympic Diner was bad in every way.The service was slow. I didn't get what I ordered. (I asked for a feta bacon tomato omelet, and I got a feta tomato omelet with bacon on the side.) I had to chase down the servers to get my coffee refilled, and then to get the check. The food took a long time to arrive. The omelet had a big glob of uncooked egg in it, and the bacon was burnt. What was up with that bacon? Did the cook not notice that he burned it? Did the waitress not notice that it was burned? Or did they decide to serve it anyway and see if I said anything? There were at least three kids who either yelled, kicked their feet against the furniture, or both. That's not the management's fault. But the restaurant also smelled bad. And the seats at the counter were really uncomfortable.Coffee and omelet was $9.09, which is cheap. Not cheap enough.

They know how to cook!Buried back in my memories is this place. Maybe, my memories are playing tricks on me, but I could swear my buddy (and sometimes, his wife) and I would go there late at night. The hours are like 6 a.m. - 3 p.m. now, so no more late nights. It wasn't the kind of place people claim as "drunk food"--this was too good for that. After my not so great meal at Andy's Diner yesterday, I wanted some place that wasn't a problem--Llanerch Diner, Manoa Diner, Red Lion Diner, or Olympic Diner. Red Lion Diner on Red Lion Rd. in Northeast Philly seems to be gone, crab cakes and all.I got to Llanerch Diner (on Township Line Rd. in Upper Darby/Havertown), on the other side of the road, and thought that I wanted something I knew, where there were good memories. Manoa Diner had changed hands a while back and wasn't it, so I drove down to Clifton Heights and found Olympic.I'd never been there in the morning, and didn't know their routine. I took a place on the counter, and after about 1 minute, one of the women asked me what I wanted to drink. After that, I figured that I'd try the same thing I had the previous day: scrapple, scrambled eggs, home fries, and toast. I tried to cancel the toast, but "it comes with the meal" I was told. I'm not that into bread. The other woman was cooking, and I could already see a couple thick slices of scrapple on the grill, since the grill was almost right in front of me. She had everything finished quickly and it looked great--no white potatoes or running scrapple. It tasted really good, almost as I remembered those times way back when. Isn't that the best? The women were friendly, and they seemed to be having fun with the regulars. The diner had all the old stainless steel bits and the jukebox at each booth. It felt like the kinda place you go when you're a neighbor, and everyone knows everyone else. I'd imagine that the place had been open since the 1940s or 1950s and hasn't changed much. It's so much more appealing than some chain restaurant.

Honestly , I was the only black guy in there and it was extremely awkward. Racist is a strong word , so I'll refrain from using that word (for now) however, it did feel like me and my friend did not belong and was treated as such, so me and my friend (also black) left. However , I did attend Yummys down the street and it provided a way better welcoming environment! Go there instead especially if your a different skin complexion than white !

The food is always good here. Bobby is a great cook. Would give 5 stars if the two woman who are the servers weren't so miserable. They definitely are in the wrong business because their customer service sucks
