Olde Towne Kolaches

Amazing, "local shop" service! Homemade kolaches! The dough was perfect not too dense, not too salty, and not too sweet. My only dislike was the overbearing taste of non-stick spray on the spinach/egg kolache. I can't wait to go back and try more!

Move over kolache factory! This husband and wife team have been here for as long as I can remember and I was terrified they wouldn't open back up after Harvey. This little bakery is gods gift to west Houston and the wild world of kolaches. The bacon and cheese kolache is quite arguably the best baked product in town. Light, fluffy, salty, cheesy goodness made my a little blonde haired goddess of the dough.

One of the coolest Kolaches places I've been. Far from cookie cutter. They have concept Kolaches that are sweet and also baked sweets. Then comes the fajita Kolaches. Whaaa. Lol. They were very nice people, the prices were right, and the chilled coffee was great!

Went to the location for the first time today for a quick breakfast. Just FYI the breading here is pretty thick.. I wish it wasn't so heavy..I enjoyed the hazelnut cinnamon coffee. Fajita kolache- moist , cheesy and seasoned.Spicy sausage kolache- cheesy and full of meat. Bacon egg and cheese kolache- was not good the filling was mushy and so was the bread. (Kolache factory is better)8 kolaches, 1 chocolate milk, 1 small coffee, 1 small apple juice for $22

I happened upon this gem 3 days after I moved to Houston and sweet baby Jesus I'm so happy. I ordered the jalapeño sausage and cheese and then cheese filling sweet kolaches. DELICIOUS! This won't be my only visit. The space is cute, clean and I was met by the a friendly worker. You won't be sorry.

I feel conflicted about this place. Some items were great (cream cheese and cherry/cream cheese kolache), some okay (bacon/cheese and bacon/egg/cheese kolaches) and some just bad (cherry kolache). I had asked for a cherry/cream cheese kolache and was accidentally given a just plain cherry. When I went back in, the lady at the counter was very nice about giving me the correct one without wanting the incorrect one back. I tried the plain cherry and was so grossed out. It tasted so strongly of yeast/fermentation. I might go back for the cream cheese kolaches but otherwise I'll stick to Kolache Factory.

The ambiance plays into the name. You walk in and it looks like an old town tavern which is cute. Because of all the high reviews I was excited to try Let me preface this by saying I came a few days after the tornado so maybe that's why things were off but...,I didn't like any of my food The regular jalapeño kolache seemed like old bread and a regular hotdog . It wasn't appetizing the bbq kolache idk what I was expecting but not this it was more of an empanada and the meat to sauce to bread ratio was off just seemed unbalance . They were out of a lot of stuff as the display case wasn't full. All in all I won't be back. The lady At the front was very nice I hate that I didn't enjoy my food it seems like a cutePlace overall

Get their beef sausage Kolache. Nothing short of life changing as far as breakfast sausages go.Owned and operated by a charming family fromBosnia and recipes are made from scratch daily. I will continue to drive 45 minutes round-trip as it's not worth it to eat "kolaches" from anywhere else in Houston anymore.

Lovely owners, great food and great coffee. Gives a "homey" type of comfort when you walk in. I love coming here on the weekends for breakfast

Worst place ever. I came to get a quick breakfast and asked for a chocolate muffin and they gave me a blueberry muffin . Not to mention they choose the one with a FLY flying over it. Bad service and VERY unsanitary! Never again
