My wife and I recently visited San Diego and stayed at a downtown (Gaslight District) hotel. We found this small local restaurant on Yelp. It was an easy walk from the hotel and it was worth it. The food was delicious. We had the breakfast burrito with the home seasoned Chorizo. It was big enough to share. We also bought sandwiches to take with us to the beach and returned the following day to get sandwiches to take to the zoo. I had the hot pastrami and my wife had turkey on sourdough. They were fantastic. By the way the coffee is locally ground and very tasty. We highly recommend this place. Make sure you say hello to Jasmine and Malena at the counter. They are the BEST!

The Old Gallery Coffee House is my favorite place to get Chilaquiles! Their Chilaquiles is so flavorful and doesn't taste salty or heavy like other Chilaquiles I have had before. I ordered my chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and it went perfectly. I just wish they gave more tortilla chips but otherwise it's perfect.I would highly recommend this place. It's perfect place for breakfast and lunch.They are open from Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.Parking maybe be hard to find but they do have a few street parking places available

I was out walking and decided to pop into this hole in a wall restaurant for a good ol classic breakfast. I ordered the big breakfast combo and a coffee. It was about $13-15 total. It was delicious and coffee was good too with a choice of creamers. The cashier was patient with me in my questions about what was included in the combo. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go back. I sat upstairs and enjoyed my meal but it looked like the majority of their customers ordered to go (reminded me of a nyc bodega)

I'm so glad I accidentally went here! The cashier greeted me with "mijo" and I knew I made the right choice! I was looking for a quick and easy breakfast burrito before my drive back to LA - I meant to go to the Taco Stand, but it was closed. So I glanced at the breakfast menu for Old Gallery and saw a chorizo breakfast burrito - I said sure why not! It was one of the best chorizo burritos I've had in awhile. The burrito was packed with chorizo, egg, potatoes and melted American cheese - the cheese threw me off at first but it totally worked. The red salsa on the side have it a perfect kit, while not washing out the flavor of the burrito! I would definitely go back! Parking in this area isn't the best, but worth making a stop!

This place is AMAZING. I really don't know how they do it, but wow. I mean I legit eat out way too often... and have tried so so so many Mexican places in downtown. Especially the Chilaquiles. This place tops then ALL. Their salsa are to die for. I order extra salsa and use it throughout the week on other meals, that's how good it is. They have a killer spicy shrimp burrito too. If you like spice, i definitely recommend. I go here often and can't say enough about how good it is! I've only tried the Chilaquiles, breakfast burrito, BRC burrito and apricot shrimp burrito.... So I will vouch for those. The rest of the menu is just as amazing I'm sure!

There's a huge open dining area on the 2nd floor!! Who knew?? And they bring your food up to your table!! At a cafe ?? Right Next time I'm in San Diego. I'm dropping in again. Keep it up Old Gallery cafe!!FYI. I had a bacon cheeseburger with an egg, traditional breakfast and a fish taco for my meal. All good. The hash browns stood out Jay from the bay !!

This place was phenomenal & such a cute hidden gem. Staff was amazing and welcoming! The food was revived fairly quick and I loved every bite. The Chilaquiles were ‍ and the iced latte was so tasty, the chorizo burrito was super flavorful as well, would recommend!
