Old Blarney Stone Tavern

What a cute, small unassuming bar with cheap drinks and warm smiles. Patty, the bartender (and owner, I'm presuming), is just about the kindest soul I've ever encountered. This is a cash only bar, but if you're low on cash, no worries! You can snag a variety beers, a few as low as $1.50 - and that's not a happy hour special! There's nothing fancy here - just a solid, small little joint with good local people. Patty also said they have karaoke here in the evenings, which I'm ALWAYS excited about. I'll definitely be back, just to see Patty.

Very pleasant, tiny little pub in Fishtown. Loved the owner/tender Patty, good conversation and happy service. Would return.

If you live in the area and you don't go here you're an idiot. Fishtown has a lot of good bars but if you're looking for a friendly, smoke free, CHEAP spot for drinks this is it. I'm in town visiting a buddy and we drove by, purely by accident. As soon as we went in it was clear this is a locals joint, that being said everyone was incredibly nice. So nice that I thought it was a little odd at first. One of the locals came over and introduced himself, shook hands and went back to his seat. Less than 5 minutes later he bought us a round, I was floored! The bartender, who I'm assuming was the owner, was a very sweet older woman. It was like having my mom behind the bar. There was a handwritten note in the men's room saying, "no drug use in this bar, no drug sales in this bar or out front of this bar" then she signed it "Patti XOXO". Hugs and kisses!?! This is not a "hipster" spot, there is nothing fancy about it or the drinks. What it is, is a nice place full of nice people. So if you're in the area stop in and see Patti, she'll be thrilled to see you.

What was once always great Bar food our experience was quite underwhelming. Don't get the Chicken Tenders they weee like Chicken pounded to potato chips and fried. Literally you had to saw at it to cut. My husband got the chicken pot pie style with mashed potatoes came out cold was sent back and still not hot. Very Disappointing

this is a fantastic tavern very friendly people, friendly bar maid, if you want a shot and a beer this is the place to be.
