Ol Railroad Cafe

Cute little brunch spot! We got there a bit before noon and they offered both the breakfast and lunch menus. Ordered the mimosas - these are big and so good! We ordered the regular eggs Benedict, the Eggs not so Benedict (crab cakes instead of the English muffin). Both were good but the not so Benedict was the best and definitely recommend that. The breakfast potatoes are also sautéed with peppers and onions and I could have eaten an entire plate! So good! We also ordered a side of the biscuits and gravy and they were ok. A bit heavy on the pepper for me. Overall it's a cute restaurant with good prices and food!

Fav dishes Eggs not Benedict received rave reviews from my husband and friend. Next time I might have to order this too! Ham n cheese is my favorite kinda sandwich. Lots of ham and just the right proportion of cheese and cranberry chipotle jam on perfectly toasted Texas toast. My comfort food sandwich. Philly cheesesteak was a winner according to my friend and had a nice spicy kick from the jalapeño aioli. The patty melt was just ok - thick beefy patty cooked medium well which was good but husband said it was missing some moisture / sauce factor. Portions are just right to maybe a teeny bit too much. I wish I had more room for dessert! Service was friendly and experienced, and getting everyone seated and served as fast as they could on a busy Saturday. Enjoyed finding this place and would definitely come back whenever we're in the area!

Service took a minute, but they were nice. Food was tasty. Ambiance is good, however don't bring a huge crowd, no room.

Service was good, polite and friendly. Since we came early on a Friday it was not a problem getting a table. We ordered fried okra (crispy and not oily... yummy) and macaroni cheese bites (my dining companions said they were delicious). I ordered the Hobo Burger no cheese ( y'all the bun was sooooo good, the burger was cooked just right, egg was runny and bacon was crispy, and fries were crispy.). I am adding pictures of the pot roast, meat loaf, pot pie and salmon. Atmosphere is family friendly. Casual dining.Dessert - I had the berry cobbler full of berry flavor and not too sweet. My dining companions ordered Apple Pie and Fudge Brownie and both added ice cream.If you are in the area, you need to make a stop.

This was my second time visiting, both time the food was excellent. The service was superb and the ambience was amazing.

I finally got a chance to try out this place and was thoroughly disappointed. I ordered the bonfire burger and couldn't eat it because it wasn't at all cooked through. The fries had no taste to them; my experience in general was just terrible.

Awesome cafe. The not so Benedict was excellent. The staff was friendly and speedy. I'll be back to sample their other items.

Yes.... This place is good. GREAT Value.... These people can cook. My wife was impressed.Salad dressing (blue cheese) homemade- fresh and delicious . Many grades above something you get in a bottle.I had the pork chops and they were 3 three boneless pork chops.... With a nice sauce. Wife had a salmon salad.We went off script As we normally drink, wine, but on menu and ordered drinks that were just delicious. Can't wait for dessert!

After going to the railroad museum I asked the receptionist which place she suggested to eat and she recommend the Ol Railroad Cafe! It's right across the street so it's perfect if you want something to eat after touring.The inside is really nice and spacious,but cozy. I had ordered the Hobo burger and it didn't disappoint. The burger was delicious and so were the fries. Came out quick and the portion sizes were large. The service was excellent too! Very friendly and attentive.I had gone on a Saturday afternoon and they weren't that busy so the wait time was short. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody who wants some good food in Rosenberg!

The atmosphere is amazing here and the staff is even better! I've been here before for a baby shower! Which they have an extra room for that goes straight to the thrift store next door! Which is so cool! We went and visited . Also the ham steak was delicious the cranberry jam was amazing as well! And my husband got the chicken and waffles ! We had such an amazing time we will be back!
