This place is great if you're missing a Chinese-style family meal or dimsum because they have both! We went after my sister's graduation and luckily the restaurant was not full so we were able to get seated immediately and the dimsum carts came up to us pretty fast. We tried their eggplant stuffed with shrimp and everyone in my family really loved that dimsum item. We also ordered some of our family favorites (clams in black bean sauce, lobster stir fried with scallion and ginger) and they were delicious. The restaurant itself is your typical Asian restaurant with white table cloths and Chinese decorations.Overall my family really likes this restaurant and we will be coming back next time we're in the area!

Chinese food at PhillyWe took out dim sums for late lunch. The restaurant was next to Sang kee. We had shrimp rice roll, eggplant stuffed shrimp, pepper stuffed shrimp, sticky rice and taro bun. My favorite was the sticky rice and the purple taro bun. The dim sums weren't not too salty and tasted great!

Went with a large party (three tables) today and had a good experience overall, but dim sum in Philly Chinatown still doesn't measure up to dim sum in San Francisco! Actually, I still think Sang Kee Asian Bistro in Wynnewood (suburbs) has the best dim sum in the area so I'll stick with going there. There were carts constantly going around but I found the standard items came around less frequently than I would have liked (siu mai, har gow, soup dumplings). My favorite items:Siu mai - 5/5 Pork/chive potstickers - 5/5Soup dumplings - 5/5 (but not served with a spoon so hard to eat!)Rice roll with you tiao - 5/5Baked red bean bun - 5/5 (flaky crust with a dusting of sesame seeds)Steamed BBQ pork bun - 5/5 Gai lan - 5/5Noodles with vegetables - 5/5 (I liked their noodles, almost like e-mein but not quite)The other items that I tried (and we ordered probably 20 different items?) were good but not so memorable. Shrimp siu mai, pepper stuffed shrimp, coconut pudding in a coconut shell, fried fish strips (?) see, I can't remember the other items! The servers were great with refilling hot tea and everyone was happy at the end (except we couldn't find any egg tarts so had to go to K.C. Bakery for that!)

Under new management! The food was better than I remembered and we went on a weekday. The dim sum cart is still alive and well at this location. The shrimp shumai and the stuffed peppers were my favorite. I would recommend this place and they do the credit card with a surcharge.

Nice selection of dim sum dishes to choose from. Many bun, shumai, and fried specialties. I was happy to see some favorites, and also was served some extra light dessert items. Staff inside is very nice, and was welcoming. Classic interior and menu. Most items were steamed or fried nicely, and had good flavors. Come here with friends for tasty meal.

Pros: 1) Clean, spacious restaurant with plenty of seating, located on 9th street next to Sang Kee and close to the entrance to I95.2) lots of choices for Dim sum with carts circulating constantly3) stir fried veggies; chicken feet in black bean sauce, curry squid, pineapple bunsCons:1) Items can be lukewarm2) Some items are less than flavorful (shrimp shumai; Crystal shrimp dumpling, for example, were full of shrimp but, to me, could have used some flavor infusion), congee was just so-so

Was seated immediately on a Saturday at 11am and was surprised the place still wasn't full. Carts were already moving and we were lucky to grab a few of the staples right off the bat. Some of the other classics (churn fun/shrimp roll and har gow/shrimp dumpling) took forever to come out of the kitchen, and it seemed like the waitress was doing her best to take individual orders and run them out to each table. It did seem like everyone was waiting for the same things to come out, and we ended up leaving instead of waiting for more carts to come out.All in all, pretty average dim sum place to come get your fill. Prices were affordable for the relatively small portion sizes, though I would definitely consider exploring the numerous other dim sum places in the town as well.

Horrible service. We asked for a clean table but the waitress around 40-50 years old was reluctant for us to take it and yelled in front of us. Rudest people we've ever met! We walked out of the restaurant and will never come back. Don't come to this restaurant. It is a waste of time and money.

Food over priced for Dim-Sum. SPeco Al items on menu over-priced. When I asked if the speciality items were small, They said yes but they came out as large portions. The servers were rude when speaking didn't explain well what was on the cart.ambiance nothing special!Over priced not worth the value.
