Woods Polk Station

Been meaning to drop by here for over 2yrs, finally checked it out yesterday. Cute, tiny place with outdoor and indoor options. Friendly service and a variety of beer on tap and in cans. Unfortunately they don't have Heff on tap often and didn't have it yesterday. Tasted a couple options and chose the Marzen, but would have preferred a clean, crisp wheat.I also tried 2 empanadas! Yummy, warm and easy to eat. I liked the Chard more than the Mushroom one. Will try the Beef and Ham ones next time if they have a clean, crisp wheat on tap. It was a great day to sit outside and watch life go by! Looking forward to stopping in the next time I'm running errands. Keep up the great friendly service and vibe. Thank You! :)

Tiny tiny place but they have el porteño empanadas so that makes it worth it! Sit outside on a nice day and enjoy Polk Street! Perfect place to start the evening with friends.

Super cute place w/ craft beers, wines--- and empanadas! Lovely seating w barrel tables outdoors curbside on Polk street. Check this place out on a sunny day, bring your dog , and enjoy a few cold ones.

Really a fantastic bar. Small bar with only a few seats indoor (3-4 at the bar and a few more at the other table) with a few more seats outside surrounded by heat lamps. If you're looking for a small bar with good beer, this is your spot. Bartender is great and is a good person to strike a conversation with. They have one TV that is typically playing a sports game.My buddy had the empanadas and said they were great. Would definitely recommend if you like beer/wine and an intimate experience.

We've been to Woods in Oakland so when we stumbled across this location, we knew we had to stop for tasty beer!We are absolute fans of their different flavours of beer. They're unique and refreshing and delicious. We go out of our way to try their Girl Scout flavoured drinks when they come into the rotation and they never disappoint.My favourite of theirs by far is the Morpho, a hibiscus ale that's light and refreshing and not too beer-y tasting for those who aren't a fan of the bitter beverages. They also have a few non-beer drinks such as ciders and seltzers. This location also carries wine and food, which are delicious as well. Definitely check out this brewery at any location for something different and yummy.

Stumbled into this place on a whim while visiting SF w/ my wife, and boy am I glad I did. Good beer, good vibes, and possibly some of the best empanadas I've ever tasted. On top of that the service was superb. Chico was a great bartender and an even better host. Highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you like to draw on the coasters!

Great beer and wine in a cozy corner in a vibrant area of Polk St. I like that I can wander outside and hang in outside tables or the chair lift. Only thing to knock was the bartender playing country music obnoxiously loud - had to leave once because of that.

Chico serves the best chunky beer. Chico is the man. Highly recommend. Ask for the chunky beer - you won't be disappointed. Also want to note- I'm not a natural beer drinker. I live for my mixed drinks and for a nice glass of wine, but Chico has always let me try different beers (and different wines/seltzer's) until I figured out which drink my go-to at Woods. I love woods! I love their beer and their wine selection- nightly recommend. And honestly, this place rocks beachhead CHICO ROCKS!!! THANKS CHICO!
