This is a very Inviting pub - warm bar vibe and comfy tables. Great menus, one with classic burgers and such, the other offering Indian dishes. Went with the goat curry and it did not disappoint. Angel was great, working the bar and helping to hustle food. We'll be back. Went for a walk up the hill (~1mi RT) after lunch to enjoy the bay view. Point Richmond is super. Who knew?

Point Richmond has always had exceptional cuisine but the Tartar sauce served at the Up & Under Pub and Grill raises the bar on quality and taste! The sauce is light and creamy with an amazing taste that enhances your dish. The tartar sauce is especially well paired with the Pub fries and fish and chips. With sauces taking a back seat when it comes to tasted and quality vs quantity, it is a pleasure to be able to enjoy such an exceptional condiment that really makes your tastebuds explode! Gotta love this place! Even a decade later, the food and staff is amazing! The fresh made pastrami and baked potatoes are legit. Now they are serving comfort, homemade Indian food Weds - Sun. Go check them out!

Places has been here for years a rugby institution from the bar I used to work the Golden bar in Oakland. They're still surviving after the Covid. Great food and great people. It's a hard business but point Richmond supports their businesses and will keep on going you got it.Nate

Wow what an amazing little bar and restaurant. Stopped here after a meeting for lunch with a colleague. Food was great. Service was fantastic. Quick and easy parking right at the curb. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Clean restaurant well appointed. Clean bathrooms. Only wish they had unisex not men and women. No need to wait in line for a men's room when there's an empty women's room. Or vice versa.

Monthly lunch with friends. We take turns choosing the restaurant. My friend chose Up & Under.When we walked in, the bar was packed with locals. A little creepy walking by and being stared it, then greated by "Hellooo ladies". Ew!We found a table away from the bar and when our male friend showed up, we told him he was no longer allowed to pick. The bartenders could not have been nicer or pour a better drink. They were really nice and funny. The good is crazy good! One person had a grilled cheese and fries, I think it was called The Hooker? One person had a wedge salad with chicken. It looked great. I had a brisket melt that was so, so good. Losing a star because first impressions are important. Our first impression was bad.

This place is really unique and is probably the only only rugby bar I've ever been to. The food is delicious with big portions. In the past we had a lot of fun at their pub quizzes as well. Upstairs they also have a private room that you can rent for events.
