Tito's Mexican Restaurant

The service is the best! Good drinks and tasty food. I've been coming to Tito's for years. It's a local favorite.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and cozy vibes of this place! They had a propane fueled heater to keep the room warm during the cold winter nights. The parking situation isn't the easiest as they have a very small one-way parking lot that you need to back out of into the street for as you leave, so street parking might be ideal for most guests.There are tons of food options to choose from and the portions are huge.I ordered the steak chimichanga, which I enjoyed - it also came with rice and beans on the side.Service was not bad either. Our server was attentive and she helped answer all of our questions. The only thing that was questionable was the bill at first because it was hard to understand what was itemized, and she rounded all of the prices to the nearest whole number rather than what was listed on the menu.Anyway, glad I finally got to try this place! It makes for a cute date night or family dinner.

Three stars is appropriate. Decent mexican food (I had carnitas), my friend had carne asada, which he said was okay. Margaritas were just okay. Very sweet. Tbh, the best thing we had was the bean dip and chips.Somehow, two mains, one app and one pitcher of margaritas ended up being over $80 before tip, so I don't think this is worth it.

My wife and I noticed this while we were eating dinner at a restaurant across the street. We tried it today really excited about finding another place to dine. I actually liked the ambiance. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered Chili Colorado. It's my favorite and usually helps me gauge the restaurant. When mine arrived it just barely resembled the dish I know. When I tasted it I was disappointed. I asked the waitress to ask the cook if he had tasted it. They offered to remake it and eventually I agreed. The replacement looked closer but still tasted way off. There was a man either a manager or possibly the owner who agreed it was not right and probably was the chilis. We paid for my wife's meal which was just okay and left. I give them kudos for trying to make it right and for their friendliness. The place has a lot of potential. Being where it is they have to get it right. There are many good Mexican restaurants nearby.

You can get plenty of good, traditional Mexican food at Tito's. I am a particular fan of the molè chicken dish. But you can't go wrong with most anything on the menu based on my experiences and those of friends. But what I REALLY love about Tito's is that they are one of the few places I know of in the area that serves sopapillas. Moreover, they serve sopapillas exactly the way I love them: fluffy, fresh out the oven, a generous serving of honey (can be on the side), and generous sprinkles of cinnamon. Oh so good. My only quibble is that sopapillas are only available on Fridays. Supposedly it's because of chef availability. I am someday enough people order sopapillas that they decide to make them more available again!

Tito's is a great old school spot with good food and lovely service. Many selections available, food is always dependable.

Love Tito's, so glad I got back here again. We have the greatest food and I love my mango strawberry. Looking forward to eating, but there is so much to choose from. I can't decide. My favorite is the bacon wrapped shrimp.

Long time resident of San Leandro. I have seen Titos forever and decided to try it out with our neighbors. Wow. Like the other comment I tried chili colorado and it did not look like my favorite meal or taste like it. Beef with a sauce on it. Small salad, that was the best in the meal. No beans. Rice was like Uncle Ben with a tomato sauce. Restaurant inside made you feel like you were in a authentic Mexican restaurant. Food needs to be better.

Excellent Mexican restaurant. In addition to the standard menu items, they have some interesting dishes that are also quite delicious. Great margaritas, too!
