The Valley Inn Sports Bar

This sports bar brings back the vibes of the old school days! There are two old machine games (ms. Pac-Man and pinball) and four billiards tables and a few tables and seats along the bar. There is a back open area to sit and chill and get some fresh air. Drinks were good and reasonably priced- I ordered a Long Island, green tea shot and gin and tonic. I went here on a Friday night for a birthday celebration and it wasn't too packed and ambiance was chill with hip hop music and good vibes.

Not a bad place to come play pool. Seems like regulars come in to keep it busy. It's been awhile since I've come in because it totally has the same look.

Valley Inn is my spirit animal. Great vibe, prices are good, great beer and whiskey selection. If you like a dive bar, this is the best one in the area.

My go to bar in town. Matter of fact, going tonight. Vicky and Roz are the BEST!!!!

VI is my favorite dive bar. Reminds me of the program "cheers" where everyone knows your name. Mixed communities, multi cultural accepting and friendly bar.

Come here every few weeks and always have a great time. Friday and Saturday are the best. Lacy and Wayne know how to take care of you.

Best bar in Castro valley! Everyone is super nice and welcoming. The bartender on Monday night is the sweetest! Definitely coming back!

Good bar went last on a Thursday and the scene was ok although the bartender was so overworked and the pool tournament people kind of killed the cool bar vibe with their serious and sober nature.I really don't understand how its good for a bar to have these pool tournament people taking up space? They don't buy alcohol and their sober selves seem out of place at a bar.The bartender was so overworked. I'm sure shes normally a freindly person but she barely had a moment to breathe. Shes doinig orders, collecting glasses, washing glasses, mixing drinks, breaking up love spats... she needs some help.I much prefer Doucets - its run by a whole big family - mom, brother, sister.. they share responsibilities and really care more. It makes for a better experience and brings the best out of the people that visit. "We gotta behave, moms watching!"
