Stratus Restaurant and Bar

This was a cocktail pre-game before a dinner date. It is a hotel bar, which is not a bad thing and we liked it.Nice service, average selections on liquor but it was a really nice place if you want to meet up with people as the environment is a hotel lounge-y type place. Bar seating as well.I recommend for work meetings, low-key day drinking, even sports watching if you just want to have a second to breathe away from your home.

The status : at the holiday inn hotel .Overall 2/5 stars beginning with SERVICE / BARTENDER : as amazing as the service was the bartender AND another employee came over and looked as we tried to make a choice . After feeling the pressure and ordering a drink the other employee chimed in that we could also buy a beer . ( not to mention during our stay she asked us to come down for happy hour over 4 times , and my husband is sober living ) so we declined again* .and he ordered a steak med rare and I ordered the wings extra crispy . MEAL / PRICE The steak was chewy and took for ever for me to eat the one bite I stole from my husband, and my wings tasted as if they were sauce first and then air fried . Over cooked and dried out . My husbands steak was NOT med rare there was no signs of life coming from this steak it was made as if the meat was gonna be used for tacos . And it was upwards of 20.00 along with my wings for about 16.00 and without a tip spending 40.00. OVERVIEW / TLTR : if you are hungry spend money on doordash and even if the food comes cold it would still be better, and the same price .

Meh? Service was great. Hands down we had the sweetest waitress. But the food was just meh and expensive for what it was. My husband had the omelette, I had the and my kids had waffles. The waffles were pretty good, light, fluffy and covered in fruit. My was just ok. I had to add a lot of hot sauce to add flavor. My husband's omelette was completely missing salt. We had to add salt with each bite it was so bad. This place isn't bad to visit if you don't want your basic hotel breakfast, but I need to try dinner first to make a well rounded decision. If I am back in the area, I will try their dinner.

During my stay at a nearby hotel without an on-site restaurant, I decided to walk across the street one evening when I didn't feel like driving. To my delight, I found a fantastic spot! The bar had a great ambiance, the bartender was friendly, and the food exceeded my expectations. Thank you for a wonderful experience--I'll definitely be back!

New area. New Holiday Inn. Small restaurant in the lobby of a nice hotel. (Holiday Inn)Drinks were awesome. Juan our bartender & server was great. Because of Mr M's recent injury we didn't go up to the rooftop area which they said was great. But the restaurant and bar are not quite finished. So We will return to check it out...The fish tacos were undercooked and too bland for me, Mr M liked them okay... They took way too long due to the cook calling in sick, they needed to get someone else in the kitchen. Will return to try other items on the menu, hopefully on the rooftop!

We celebrated my father in law's milestone birthday party here. Location is a gem. I haven't seen any other roof top venues around the areA. Party started a little before sunset and the ambiance got better as sun started going down. Service and food was unparalleled. All the guests kept taking about the place. We were ~40 people. We didn't need but it has banquet halls. It can accommodate rooms for outside guests since downstairs is holiday inn. We have stayed in many holiday inns but this is very good with service and decor. Most convenient for silicon valley locations. I will definitely come back in future either as hosts as guests.

Very convenient restaurant / bar located just off the lobby of a relative new and nicely appointed Holiday Inn just off Dixon Landing Road area of Milpitas.I always add "free breakfast" to my reservation through Expedia and it is so worth it.Waitstaff and servers pay extraordinary attention to breakfast patrons. Always very attentive to my needs. Pot of steaming hot coffee / orange juice / ice water. Food order is taken quickly and is served quickly. Travel coffee cup and lid, for my commute, is always proactively offered. Literally, better service than I've been given at some Michelin-starred venues ... I'm not kidding.Executive chef Angelique Kennedy does a fine job in getting out eggs / breakfast meats / toast out in a timely manner, always right off the grille, and eggs done to perfection (sunny side up). Never, ever have had a lackluster breakfast here.Quiet ambiance, with two TV's for early morning news shows for breakfast and sports during Happy Hour and Dinner.Stratus' made-to-order breakfast offerings are far superior to many of the "complimentary breakfast" offerings from hotels in the area. Hot fast real breakfasts, not fetch-your-own downscale pastries / bagels / canned juices / hard boiled eggs / boxed cereals, if you catch my drift (e.g., Larkspur Landing).BTW, the hotel itself is very nice, brand new, sleek, clean, quiet, well appointed, free WiFi and Samsung HD TV's. Very comfortable beds and nicely appointed bathrooms. Not the Holiday Inn you're accustomed to, for sure!!!Truly a delight, and not one I've been accustomed to as a business travel warrior for the last 40 some odd years!Five stars ... Ain't that something for a Holiday Inn!!!!!!

I ate here twice and I recommend you try the chicken ceaser salad and the chicken queso. It was very tasty!

Service is excellent and food and drinks are good but it should be noted that this is in the lobby of a hotel! This is probably the reason it's a tad pricey. They have a rooftop which is actually very nice and faces the sunset.
