Casual bar / restaurant that's fun and lively. You can choose to be seated at a table or do bar / outdoor self-service seating. They've got a kitchen with pretty standard food - althoughthe Chinese chicken pizza is really fun and good! Lots and lots of seating inside and outside (with heaters!) and they also have a pool table and shuffle board. For drinks, they have a really good selection of beer (you can get a flight!) and wines and a completely full bar. The service is walk up bar and you can order food too. It also seems like they may do reservations for large parties. Staff also comesaround pretty frequently to clean up. I'd recommend checking it out if you're up here and looking for something not too touristy-fancy.

San Francisco Brewing is located in Ghirardelli Square, right next to the public restrooms. It's easily accessible via the cable car that stops at Beach and Hyde, and a short walk across the block. The brewery has a large indoor space with bar and table seating, making it a great place to relax with a drink. The outdoor seating area is spacious, with large tables perfect for groups. They also have outdoor heating for colder days, and the space is pet-friendly. Service here is quick and efficient, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. While there's nothing particularly unique about the beers, they are solid and well-crafted. The brewery also serves food and has a self-serve water station. Surprisingly, when I visited in the late afternoon, it wasn't very crowded--most people seemed to be at the nearby Ghirardelli shops instead. Overall, it's a cool place to visit while in the city, especially if you're looking for a relaxed spot to grab a drink.

A brewery that collaborate with Ghirardelli chocolate? Yes please! I decided to make a quick stop to try some of the collabs. Sat down at the bar too and was greeted fairly quickly. I tried the Chocolate and coffee stout- very smooth and enjoyable. It has a chocolate rim as well. I also tried the fog city ipa (not a Ghirardelli collab just say hoppy beer). For a 16oz pour, it's perfectly fine. I expected a little more citrus flavor but that's me. They have a lot of seating, and a pool table as well. I didn't try it, but they do have four 5oz beer flights as well.

Tried a flight of beers and a Ghirardelli Chocolate Stout - all good choices! I would highly recommend the stout for the chocolate drizzle and and rich notes. Also, the Wonka if you like your beer fruity and sour - which was my favorite of the bunch.

What a fun brewery in the middle of Ghirardelli Square. If you're looking for some good beers instead of chocolate this is a great place to stop. We all enjoyed the Mussles to start however I didn't lie getting 2 crostini and the charged $3 more to get 3 additional crostini's. Where's my boudins sourdough. The mussels were perfectly cooked and the sauce was outstanding I just needed more bread to soak it all up. The pretzel was standard ok but nothing to write home about and the cheese sauce was under cooked and floury. I had the sampler and all the sours were fantastic and the little touches made for some fancy beers. Everyone really enjoyed the several beers we had. My CA chicken sandwich was delicious but the slice of tomato was thicker than the chicken and I didn't love the Dutch crunch. The burger was good but kind of small. The kids got the grilled cheese and tomato soup which was one of the best tomato soups I've had and the fries were double fried and crispy. Definitely a place I will visit again when I'm the area.

Some vegetarian options available.Restaurant inside of the Ghirardelli Square! Fun atmosphere, dim mood lighting with a cool central bar. The decor is very woodsy in a fun way. A classic hipster brewing feel. Went over the holidays so service was a bit busy but nice. Creamy tomato soup was good but the fish tacos were even better. Sort of a tangy sauce, good crunch on the battered fish. Tortilla chips lightly salted, very fresh salsa.Good for big groups and tourists looking for a meal in the Square.

My friends and I were exploring Ghirardelli Square before heading to a Concert. My boyfriend wanted to check out this Brewery. Indoor and outdoor seating options are available. My boyfriend ordered his usual IPA beer. I ordered the Golden Gate Breeze; it was okay. The first item that caught my attention was the fried chicken sandwich because of the Cole slaw. I enjoyed my burger; all I needed was some hot sauce. My boyfriend had the SFCo Smash Burger. Service was slow, but it was a busy day. The restrooms were clean; parking is available in the parking structure. Also, SF Brewing does validate parking, so make sure you ask for that before you leave. Great place to hang out and have some drinks :)
