Pizza PappoGot chz and pep slices. Gotta say best pizza on the island. The crust has a great chew, proper char on the bottom. slight sourdough hint, lot of flavor, good salt levels. Crust has that new york heft... it's not too thin and you feel resistance when you fold it. it's got the right droop. Sauce has a bit of tang, chz is high quality.Pretty busy, 2 groups waiting on a Friday at 6:30. Clean, well lit, energy, ppl slinging and excited about great pizza.Pappo, you done good.

I ordered take out on Valentine's Day and it was packed at 5:00PM when they just opened. I ordered the pepperoni pizza, meatballs and Caesar salad. The pepperoni pizza had a nice crust and I wish I ate it at the restaurant when it came out of the oven. The meatballs were ok. Caesar salad was really good and fresh but small for the price. Ambiance is clean and intimate. I will definitely go back to eat at the restaurant next time!

5-stars for pizza taste, customer service, and overall appreciation for providing a new and delicious option to Webster St. thank you! Nothing but success ahead. 2-stars for beer options & price (1-star and no repeat business for not carrying beer at all, to be clear). Seem extreme? Possibly, however pizza + beer is a thing. $7+ for a 12oz can of Kolsch, I'll have one (and complain about it apparently). My wish, draft beer and charge me $7 or $8/pint. Or cans of miller high life for $5 (or any other cheap beer).

Usually I'm a deep dish kinda dude. I want a freaking casserole of a pizza, don't judge me New Yorkers. However every once in a while the craving hits for something I can fold in half and eat like John Stewart. Pizzeria Pappo is going to be my go to when that sort of craving hits.Got my pie to go, so can't comment on the service, however pizza itself was delicious. Great crust, not to salty, just the right amount of sauce. Also, pretty darn solid Caesar salad as well.

As others have said, the pizza is top notch. I've tried them all, but my favorite, the Caponata, is less of a pizza and more like a meal piled on a thicker schiacciata (think focaccia). The toppings of perfectly cooked eggplant, tomatoes, olives, capers, celery and onion are smothered in stracciatella (the supple inside of the baratta). The lunch pizza is larger and the slicees are a little crispier than a whole pie, since the slices get a reheat in the oven before they come out.Salads and sandwiches are all fantastic, but the Mort & Mozz is my favorite and the house made crinkle cut chips steal the show. The dining room is cozy and warm and can fill up quick, so come early or expect a wait or be flexible to get takeout instead.

Best pizza in Alameda. So happy they're on the West End!Cozy little joint with wonderful pizza, apps, and salads. Love the color on the walls and the black and white tiles.Kiddo and I shared the lunch combo with pepperoni, Caesar salad, and a pop. They have the little pepperonis... which I love. We got a slice of mushroom... so good, so, so, so good. The lemon zest! Can't wait to have many more slices and pies from Pizzeria Pappo!!!

Arrived when they opened and had no trouble securing a seat. Service and food were great but pricey - wouldn't want to spend $30/pizza with the kids in tow but nice spot for a date!

Spicy Vodka Fusilli is soooo yummy - particularly because the pasta was so fresh and perfectly cooked despite the kitchen scrambling to keep up with the long line of customers waiting to order on a Saturday. We're definitely coming back for that dish on the dinner menu (dinner service just started today!). The space is cozy so plan on takeout and then if a table opens us, great. Keep in mind that the Farmers Market is 9am to 1pm every Tuesday and Saturday in the neighboring parking lot and Haight Street so on those days they start selling out long before closing time and parking is at a premium. (The Healing Garden on Taylor and Webster is one place to try for parking - but even better is to bike, walk, or take the bus.)Second favorite entre (so far) is the Margherita Pizza. We're not as crazy about the Caponata but we much prefer thin to thick crust.

Spiritual Experience!!!I had high hopes for this pizza joint. First thing I found out was it shouldn't be called a pizza joint. This is a refined pizza experience. Amazing crust and sauce!!! Don't sleep on something as simple as "Chicken Wings". Very lite and crispy. You can call and order as we did for pickup. The space is small but very delightfully decorated. Really easy experience with a handful of tables. Time for you to go order up! Will soon be a fan favorite on the west side of Alameda!

I ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza & meatballs to go last night and it was phenomenal! The dough was flavorful and airy (if that makes sense) and the sauce had a nice kick to it.The meatballs are BY FAR the best I've ever had and I'll defiantly be trying any Italian dish in the future here if the marina sauce tasted like how I got it.By far the best pizza in alameda ( yes better then the star on park)Highly recommend everyone to go here! I'll definitely be back!
