Norman Rose Tavern

Went here for Valentine's Day! The service was really good. The ambiance is pretty live and lots of lights. They have roses on each table I'm not sure if it's their signature thing to do or if it was just for Valentines. The food is was really good but the portions were pretty small for the price. We enjoyed our time there, I just wish our portions matched the price. Overall food came out in a good time and we enjoyed enjoyed! Try it out!

3.5?Everything was ok. I didn't see some items on the menu that were on Yelp that attracted me (menu changes?).I got the fish tacos and the presentation and portion was good! The fish was big and the batter was crispy! But taste overall was ok. I tried my bfs fried chicken sandwich and it was also ok. The mussels were good.The place itself was clean and servers were nice and friendly.

I had awesome food here I got the Wienerschnitzel that came with German potato salad. It is some of the best that I've had. My friend got the French dip sandwich. She stated it tasted really well. Her daughter got the sliders that had Fritos in the hamburger and avocados on it. From what they said.The staff were very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive.We sat in a booth that was very comfortable. The temperature was perfect all around a very good experience.

Tried Norman Rose in Napa - it was across from our hotel. The short rib was very tender, mushroom risotto tasty. Buttermilk fried chicken sandwich also quite tasty. The batter on the fish and chip a little thick. The tiramisu was really good. Service was okay. Ambiance was chill.

Started off with calamari as appetizer which was delicious and super tasty. We also got someDrinks- I got the strawberry cocktail they have which I absolutely enjoyed as it was not too over powering tasting like alcohol (I'm not a big fan of straight up alcohol) so it was very nice for me. For entrees, Fish and chips- 5/10, not very much flavor, soft and crunchy but lacked flavor. New York steaks were ask to be well done and medium well and they both came out about medium-medium rare, which was unfortunate. The short rib was actually quite tasty and very tender. Mac n cheese was ok, and the breadcrumbs on top gave it a nice touch. Truffle fries didn't taste like truffle fries so that gets 6/10. We also got the Brussels sprout (not pictured) which were also a big hit. Went on a Friday night and it seemed like the restaurant was pretty slow, only a couple tables the entire time we were there. Service as a whole was a bit slow, waters stayed pretty much empty the entire time we were there until we were able to wave someone down. Our waiter would be gone for long periods of times so if we did need anything it was almost impossible to get it when we needed/wanted it. Food and drinks overall made up for the service experience.

I am very rarely write a review, but this place is just incredible! If you are looking for a stylish restaurant with incredibly welcoming stuff and atmosphere, supper attentive service, and absolutely delicious food - this place is must have for your list! I have been there several times already and each and every time everything deserves top stars! Highly recommend!!! Also, it is family owned restaurant, and I am happy to support that type of business

This was a total bonus.We were in the mood for something different & were treated to a very tasty dinner. The location is on the corner and has plenty of street parking. Walked in, it was clearly completely booked, but we were offered a spot at the counter, across from the bar.After checking out the menu, we knew they were slammed in the midst of dinner service. Knowing it would be a while, we opted for ordering everything at once: Drinks, apps, and dinner.My wife ordered the NY steak and I had the pork chop. We also ordered the calamari and Buffalo wings all at once.We devoured the fresh and tasty calamari. It was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly: slightly undercooked, but not quite..just the way we like it. They provided plenty of freshly slice lemon as well.The Buffalo wings were very nice. They were the larger and meatier style, again very delicious and satisfying. The best part was yet to a come. My wife absolutely lover her med rare NY! She is a big steak fan and just as picky as the critics. I tasted a small portion from her plate and agreed it was tender and juicey with loads of flavor.My pork chop was completely satisfy. It was perfectly wmseasoned, not too heavy on the s&p, and double cut portion was just right.Overall, we tipped heavy for the wonderful service. They were quite attentive, despite the huge number of tickets lining the counter top.We watched with enjoyment and were pretty impressed by how organized and prepared they were. The staff knocked out the tickets lime it was business as usual. Our birds' eye view into the kitchen was top notch. Funny part is, it was not our intention to sit at the counter, but our appetite and curiosity clearly won't.Over all, this place will get a very strong Yelp 4.2 to 4.5 from us.Recommend: yesService: very nice and professional Value: The check was so reasonable, we gladly left a 30% tip! It was that good.We wrote a small note on the bottom of our check, thanking them for the wonderful dinner. Late dinner with hubby and our kid. She was craving a steak and I wanted some comfort food. We arrived about 45 minutes before closing time. We were promptly greeted and seated immediately (the restaurant was pretty empty). The staff was quick to ask for our order as we got comfy in our seats. We had looked over the menu beforehand so we kinda knew what we wanted. The food was ok but not what I expected. The portions were small and the presentation was a bit off for me. The vegetables did not taste fresh as they were over cooked and almost seemed like they were last of the bunch for the day. The steak was cooked for the most part, but the strip of fat was a bit more than i cared for. The salmon was dry, but the fries were hot and freshly fried. The meatloaf was hearty but the BBQ sauce was a bit overwhelming. I'm glad I asked to be put on the side. Finding the restaurant was easy, street parking is available. I can cross them off my, i gotta try" list

I've been in here a couple of times and I usually get really lucky and there isn't usually a wait which is shocking. The food and service have always been top notch at Norman Rose. Even though the prices are a little high it's Napa and when eating out most places are going to be pricey.
