The best Mexican food in Benicia and beyond. Excellent food and service. And Luz, the owner is always accommodating and cheerful. Me and my friends go weekly.

First time I have ordered a burger from here. It had very little cheese on it and it was swimming in wilted lettuce. Definitely won't order the burger again.

Delicious, Tostada Ceviche Prawns & 2 Combo plate with Chicken Enchilada & Carnitas Tamales Excellent , Efficient, Friendly , Clean, Too warm for me , with these Hot days , but for most accommodating

Stumbled upon this place with my family, walking around Benicia. The chicken tacos and Carnitas tacos are unbelievably awesome. Good people too. My wife ordered nachos, very happy.

I kicked myself for taking so long to come to this place!! All I can say is that the service was terrific, and the food was outstanding; I think this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. Everything we ordered was fresh and oh-so-good! Please don't pull a me where it took so long for me to come here, but try this place!

There was a change in ownership at this restaurant and sadly it wasn't for the best. The menu for this restaurant is now Mexican so I was excited to try since I have been looking for a good local Mexican restaurant. This was not it. We came in at around 3:30pm and the spot was empty- inside and the patio. We even had to yell hello to see if anyone was there and asked if they were open. The lady said yes and let us sit wherever we wanted. The menu is small and consisted of mostly tacos, burritos, and nachos. We weren't really hungry and told her we were just there for drinks and apps. She did not provide a drink menu so I figured Mexican restaurant, they should have margaritas. My husband ordered a beer that he saw was on tap at the bar when we passed by to sit down. We had no idea how much these drinks would be.Margarita- decent, nothing extraordinary Beer- del cielo IPA had a citrus flavor and was a lot more mild for an IPANachos- very plain. Just had the Asada, cheese, guacamole, and maybe a very little amount of beans. There was no sour cream, no pico de gallo, or jalapeños. Side order of fries- nothing spectacular. Strawberry lemonade- was very watered down.We were still eating and vibing out when the lady came and randomly asked us if we were ready to pay at around 4pm. We asked her if they were closing and she said well normally they close at 6pm but they have an event tonight so they are already closed. Wish they had told us that before. So we just paid the bill and hurried up. Our bill was $59 (excluding tip) for just the things I mentioned above. They must've charged ridiculous prices for the drinks because that bill was ridiculous. The bill wasn't itemized and everything was on that small little handheld machine. Next time we will just hit up Applebee's happy hour because unfortunately, the quality of their food was no bueno.

I was super excited to eat here because I heard it was good. A friend and I were excited to eat out and try a new place and we were sadly disappointed. We loved the woman who served us and I think she was the owner.We both ordered the carnitas plates with different beans and our meat cooked differently. The order arrived mixed up and we had to fix it ourselves.The carnitas meat was yummy but the beans (she had refried and I had black) and the rice were so bland. If we put it all in a tortilla with the salsa, it tasted ok but it was the salsa that saved it. Sadly I probably won't return. The meal was $51 for 2 carnitas without tip and that's a big risk to go again.

Delicious food and drinks. We loved our combo plate with chimichanga and crunchy taco, and beef fajitas. The hibiscus margarita was fabulous. Salsa is fresh and delicious. Everything is flavorful and homemade. Service was great! Highly recommend and will return.

I came here because I wanted a quick bite and some drinks. The reason I'm writing this review is because of the meat. I ordered a taco and a burrito bowl. Both of them were asada and it was just terrible, it tasted like old meat or meat that has been left out for a long time before being cooked. The tortillas were cooked in manteca which added a good taste but were not cooked long enough causing the tortilla to rip as soon you pick it up. Rice in the burrito bowl was over cooked. Drinks were good but there was no bartender it was the server who made the drinks. So it was a bit slow to receive drinks. Really lonely it was just me plus someone else, it did have a nice vibe. Customer service was alright.

When I walked in a got a fresh smell of tamales. I got greeted by a sweet young lady and she shortly sat me down. I asked what was the special for today and she said tamales! I was so excited because that's what I've been craving. The food was very delicious and the tamales made me feel right at home. I definitely recommend coming here especially for the tamales. Will definitely come back!
