Such a cute restaurant with an eclectic and fun menu and a full bar. They have some unique Korean "street food", like Korean fish cake soup and tteokbokki, even velvety rose tteokbokki. Plus kimchi rice with spam, seafood pancake, chicken wings, army stew and more. But, interestingly, they also serve mussels in a divine wine and cream sauce with a side of fries (fyi this is NOT the mussel soup, it's at the bottom of the mains menu). They have one kids offering and it is, in my opinion, a perfect one: chicken nuggets and fries. My kid loves them. The owner is very vibrant and engaging, and makes the restaurant feel cozy and welcoming. And I will ALWAYS give kudos to service that is family-friendly: as soon as we walked in she was ready to take our kid's order before we decided on everything else. We did not try all the drink offerings, lots of soju cocktails plus, of course, beer and soju. All decently priced. Lots of parking, 3 large TVs playing sports, and the general vibe at Naan Soju Bang, makes this such a wonderful spot in San Leandro. Ohhhh and my son wanted to let everyone know that their "Excellent" ice cream CUBES are a perfect way to the end the meal.

This place is great! Everyone was so kind and attentive. They gave us great recommendations, although we weren't able to try everything we wanted this time. The restaurant has great TVs which is pretty fun for a hangout with friends or family, we were able to watch the Warriors game.We ordered Seafood Scallion Pancake, Tokgochi, and Kimchi Fried Rice. I liked the food and prices. My favorite was the Tokgochi, the crispy outside and chewy inside, plus the spicy sauce was so good. The cocktails are even better though. We got the Fuzzy Meister and Lychee Citrus Spritz. I recommend both, but my favorite was the Fuzzy Meister for a nice fruity flavor. They were kind enough to let us split the bill in half with 2 cards. We are not from the area, so we were so glad to see that it has a nice parking lot so that we didn't have to park in the street.

Really happy to see a new Korean restaurant in San Leandro. Banju Bay was fine, but Naan Soju Bang is much better.Dropped by for the first time last night shortly after they opened and we were the only ones inside. The owner gave us a warm welcome, told us about the happy hour specials, and gave us time to peruse the menu. It's neither a tiny nor large menu, just the right amount of options for a few different plates, and what's on offer is pretty varied. We got the kimchi potstickers, army stew, tokgochi, chilled kimchi noodles, and the mussels and fries. My husband loved the mussels and fries, which is one of his very favorite dishes (so the bar is set high for him). He cleaned his plate and dumped the rest of his fries in the sauce to soak up all that flavor. I loved the kimchi potstickers, which were fried to a nice crisp and had great kimchi flavor. There were quite a few to an order. However, the army stew was the standout dish of the night for me. I absolutely loved it. Just enough for two people, it was a mix of tofu, spam, ramen noodles, and kimchi, topped with a boiled egg. Just the perfect thing to eat on a cold winter night, with an absolutely delicious broth. I could've eaten the entire pot myself and ordered nothing else and would've been happy.I didn't really care for the cold kimchi noodles, only because I felt the sauce was too sweet. I also disliked the texture of the tokgochi, which were a bit hard on the outside, felt almost hollow to the tooth on the inside, and tasted a bit bland. We came back tonight for round two because there were other things we wanted to try on the menu, and again were the only people inside when we arrived at the same time as last night. This time we got the tokpoki and the spam and egg fried rice. Everything was delicious. The tokpoki has a good kick of spiciness but nothing very intense. It was enjoyable without being overwhelming and killing all of the flavor. The fried rice was flavorful, the egg cooked perfectly so we got some nice runny yolk, and very generous with the spam. Like the dishes from last night, everything was sharable between two people, but if you're hoping to share with a group, order a little more. The owner was just as friendly and welcoming the second night as she was the first. Super kind, checked in on us just enough, and even gave us a complimentary Korean snack while we waited for our meal. The vibe is much better here than it was when this was Banju Bay.Naan Soju Bang is definitely going to be part of our regular restaurant rotation. Really hoping this place does well. Be sure to check them out.

This place is dangerously delicious--in the best possible way! From the moment you walk in, the warm and welcoming owner makes you feel right at home with service that's as inviting as the food.I tried the Rosé Tteokbokki with extra mozzarella cheese, and it was absolutely mouthwatering! The creamy sauce combined with the stretchy cheese was pure heaven. Honestly, I was so tempted to order it again the very next day, but I had to show some restraint! And let's not forget about the cheese corn--it was rich, creamy, and utterly scrumptious, a perfect side that left me craving for more.San Leandro has gained another local gem!

I discovered this hidden gem on a Friday night with my girlfriends. We saw on Yelp that it was newly opened and wanted to give it a try. Tucked away in a quiet residential area, this cozy gastropub offers a variety of comforting Korean food. It reminded me of my drunken college nights in NY's Ktown. Our favorite dish was the tteokbokki. The rice cakes were thick but pillowy. The sauce was rich and flavorful with a bright spicy taste. It was not too sweet or overwhelming. We could definitely have ordered another plate. The corn cheese and army stew were also delicious and comforting. The owner was very welcoming and seemed very passionate about Korean food. The vibes and music are 100%. We will definitely revisit again!

All the other places were closed and Naan Soju Bang was still open and, not far from our event, and had great reviews. So we headed over. What a cute place! K Pop music was playing. Service was warm and friendly and helped to explain the menu choices. We ordered the seafood scallion pancake, wings, rosé tokpoki and mussels and fries. The wings were well seasoned and crispy on the outside. The seafood scallion pancake had good-sized chunks of seafood in it and was also crispy. We enjoyed the savory creamy broth with the mussels and it was our first time with tokpoki and we loved it. My tamarind cocktail was delicious and my husband had a Sapporo. We ate our fill and there was still a lot of food. My daughter asked if we could take food to go because it was too good to waste! So now we have leftovers. We'd driven by this location before and had no idea it existed. I'm so glad we found it online.

I'm excited about a new Korean restaurant and bar in San Leandro, a city that doesn't have a lot of Korean cuisine options. What's even better is that the food - especially the corn cheese - is delicious! Owner Melany is warm, personable, and passionate about her new restaurant that recently opened in November 2024. Their menu is ever-expanding, and she seems receptive to suggestions for new food and drink items.Naan Soju Bang is just 2 minutes away from the San Leandro BART Station and 3 minutes away from Downtown San Leandro, making this a very convenient spot for San Leandro locals and those visiting from local cities. There is ample, free parking in the lot right outside the restaurant.

I've been to Naan Soju Bang twice within the span of two weeks, and the absolute best thing about their menu is the ddeokbokki (tokpoki / spicy rice cakes) because they use homemade rice cakes from a local rice bakery. Yes, you heard me, _homemade rice cakes_. It's the best rice cakes I've ever had in ddeokbokki (if ever in my life): it's chewy, not too hard and not too soft, and it holds the sauce super well. 10/10 would go just for their spicy rice cakes alone. Extra rice cakes please! I've tried both the regular and the rose version, I am a cream person so I liked the rose a bit more.As for their fried chicken, it's very good: texture is crunchy, is flavorful, and has a nice bite. Unfortunately, our party didn't think it was worth $2/drumstick.Tried the tokgochi, which was the rice cake deep fried with a spicy sauce. I personally liked the version in the sauce rather than this deep fried version since I think the rice cakes held more sauce better in ddeokbokki than in this form.Everything else was as expected as a staple at Korean restaurants, such as the seafood pancake and army stew. Loved them both! They also have a lot of alcohol if that's your thing. As for me, I'd go back for their spicy rice cakes every day if I could. Definitely try it if you've never had homemade rice cakes before!

I love this restaurant. I want to eat this dish for so long cz I saw people in Korea eat it. Finally I found it here. The bonus point is that the owner is super cool and fun to talk to. I'm not the type to write reviews but I have to for this restaurant
