Lucca Bar & Grill

Lucca continues be a solid pick for good food and music in town.I always gotta visit Lucca every now and then. I think it's amazing that they have the beer garden now. If it's cold theres even heat lamps outside! Much needed for someone like me he is always cold. But what's the next best thing to warm you up? An alcoholic beverage and a bowl of chili. If you haven't had the chili, I definitely think you should try it the next time. It was so good that I'm thinking of trying a chili dog the next time im here and Im pretty picky about chili. Potato fans will also enjoy the Baked Potato. It comes fully loaded and with Beer Cheese. The one thing that was just ok to me were the Ribs. I love my ribs to be super saucey but I also like for them to be flavorful without. They tasted like they weren't really seasoned at all. But the texture was good though. The meat fell off the bone which I was at least thankful for. The Ribs weren't bad by any means. I just feel like they needed a pinch more salt and pepper at the very least. Aside from that one hiccup, I always have a good time here. Lucca continues to be in our rotation for favorite bars in town.

I've tried too many times, to enjoy this place over the years. I'm normally not in a rush when I visit Benicia, so waiting for service and food is something I'll take in stride. But unfortunately I will not be visiting this place anymore, it's almost blatant lack of service at this point from the staff. Which sux because there's limited choices for outdoor seating in Benicia or good restaurants. Looks like stopping at Safeway and having a picnic in the park or waterfront, is the best way to go.

The food was great! I ordered the fish and chips, best around within 15 miles! Service was good and pleasant. We loved the outdoor live performance btw and the weather was perfect.

Stopped by for dinner last night around 7:30 PM and was disappointed by the lack of service. We walked in, but none of the staff acknowledged us--not even a greeting or a glance. After waiting for about 5-10 minutes with no assistance, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. A simple acknowledgment would have made all the difference.

My family frequents Luccas so I've been here a handful of times. On our last visit we decided to sit outside because we brought the pups with us. My dad called ahead and reserved the table he wanted with no issues. Other seating options are available inside to include a front seating area and there is also a back seating area next to the bar. In the back near the bar there is loud music playing if that's your vibe. We ordered Brussels sprouts and garlic bread as our appetizers. Two of my family members order margaritas using different types of liquor and I went with a mezcal cocktail called- smoke on the water.All of the margaritas that I tried were not that good and I do not recommend. As for my cocktail it was balanced with a slight kick of heat. As for food I went with the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of fries for $17. The size of my sandwich was perfect as it was not too big and the portion of bread to chicken was appropriate. I didn't end up finishing my meal and it lasted just fine in the refrigerator for left overs.The location of luccas is on Main Street so parking can be limited and you may need to circle the block a few times before finding parking and/or walk a few blocks.

I stopped by here for the first time during a Lagunitas event and there was also live band! There were lots of people seated outside enjoying the music. Definitely great vibes! I ordered the burger w/ fries and it was really good.The fish and chips looked really good too (and you can order it half or full). Our server was really good about checking in with us too. So if you're ever in downtown Benicia this will be a good place to pop into for a bite to eat. I would like to go back again soon!

Whenever we are in Benicia we choose Luccas = Food is wonderful, we always choose to sit outside and enjoy all the people and the dogs going by. Love the salmon tacos. Everything we have tried we have loved. Service is always right on top of everything we need without even asking. Always try the desserts too.

The music - the food- is good there is an Inside menu and an outside menu / you can't go wrong either way. I'm happy here- it's very friendly for me since I have issues walking . Plea Ty of high top tables- and the music is usually pretty good with live bands. You will be happy here

Had the oysters, ribeye, and fish and prawns Absolutely delightful, good wait staff and great option of local breweries. Live band was phenomenal as well.
