Liquid Gold

I dropped by this afternoon to check out their beer selection and it was hella big. They had the freezer section towards the back that had a good selection of sours, dark, and stouts to choose from. Their Untappd page is updated too so you can look at what they have before hand. I picked 2 different sours and bought them to go. They also got some TVs inside that were playing sports if you decided to sit down and and a drink. I was sad when City Beer Store closed down since they have a great beer bottle selection but Liquid Gold is a perfect go-to if you're a beer nerd like me.

Pretty good beer spot for a quick drink. Wish they served food. They do have bags of chips to purchase.but it would be nice to have some wings with your beer.

Really awesome little beer bar in the neighbourhood that has a really nice variety of rotating craft beers, as well as snacks, four packs, and locals. Service is great, people are friendly and there's the occasional dog to pet!I love this place, definitely one of our more regular spots when we're feeling up to going out!

I visit this place daily to weekly, and I felt it was time to share my experience. What I appreciate most is the drama-free atmosphere. Unlike some other places where conversations can get overly personal, here, people come to enjoy their time and hang out with friends. The staff is always friendly and welcoming; I've never encountered a moody employee. This place is perfect for anyone looking to relax and have a good time without any unnecessary drama.

This place has an excellent selection of beers. My girlfriend is gluten free and they sell wine, ciders and a few sake's. Great, low-key staff for a hang out.

Great beer selection, comfortable environment, and conveniently located near a hotel I stay at on Van Ness when in town four times a year. I haven't found a better beer bar in SF.

Rather you are a local or from out of town, this is a casual place to hang out with friends and get a cold beer. They have plenty of selections to satisfy any taste preference. The fun part is I found out that pet is allowed.

18$ for a pint of hazy? Per the website menu is this right? Seems a bit much with so many good bars I would have to pass on this

Liquid Gold is a perfect name for this beer spot. How else can you describe the golden elixir's on tap?If you are a beer person, you will leave this place happy. And I would't say you have to be a certain kind of beer person (that is, ipa, sour, etc.) Different styles are fairly well represented across many excellent local craft breweries.I really like how LG offers a very small pour option for most beers, which allows me to try a lot more without both the cost and getting too toasty. But I believe they also offer growler options, which is super convenient (especially if you're close by, which alas I am not.) Also, they have a pretty big cooler with cans, so if you need more options to bring home you're very covered.Finally, they don't serve food but I have brought snacks, etc. inside (Nourish cafe is just a few doors down, hint hint.) Enjoy a sandwich in a low-key, relaxing joint, with plenty of beer to keep your thirst quenched.
