June's Pizza is up there with the best pizza in the bay. I love the overall vibes of the pizza shop from the spacious interior that gives nods to a retro pizza shop with bar seating to the shows you watch as the staff makes your pizza. They had a pretty limited selection which makes sense since they're specializing on a few items. We had the margarita pizza and mushroom calzone. For both of these items being veggie, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed them. Both were solid options for a group but the pizza was definitely my favorite of the two.

Well I had high hopes with this new joint. The ravers say it's worth the wait, pie to die for. Came on a Sunday afternoon at 4:01 and there were already 10 peeps in front of me. When the pie finally arrived I love the fresh cheese and Basil. As soon as I bit into it it took me back to my cardboard pizza from Peter Piper Pizza during my childhood. As I noticed the crust burnt and underneath as well. Atleast with burnt toast you can get a butter knife and scrap it off but this you have a burnt after taste. Yeah I will stick with my regular places.

I was disappointed with the pizza and the price. I visited this restaurant on a Thursday with a friend. The atmosphere feels like you are in a bustling city like New York, which is great; I love any opportunity to feel like I'm on the East Coast. The service is ok. The food was overpriced--I paid over $100 for one pizza and one calzone.I was a little disappointed with the pizza. The sauce to cheese ratio was disappointing. The center of the pizza was dry and lacked sauce. I've never had a pizza that was crunchy on the first bite. Usually, the center of the pizza is gooey. Also of note, if you simultaneously order pizza to dine in and one to go at the same time, there is no where to put your pizza box. I was given a fresh pizza to carry to my table, and turned around and received a huge box from the staff and had nowhere to put the large box and was not offered any help by the staff. The saving grace, for this place was definitely the special of the day, which was a mushroom calzone with green garlic. It was simply amazing! It had a lot of bread and I wish there was a little more filling and a little less spread, but it was really good!

The best pizza in the entire Bay Area. Seriously. Blown away. They are open till midnight. And after 9pm they only serve margarita pizza only, but the server hands selected the best looking slice. Heated it to perfection. Shredded the quality Parmesan straight from a block of cheese on the pizza. And dressed it with basil. One can also purchase white or red wine by the glass or bottle. (Bottle is at 35$. Reasonable)The thin slice was so so good. The crust is delicious. If Don't believe it - come and try it. And I lived in Chicago and New York before - I know my pizza. There is a dedicated parking lot for car people. The vibe: New York 1950s furniture, smooth jazz, yet causal dress code. Comes as you like. Make it a fancy experience if you want it. It's a bit hard to find in the dark - look for the unassuming warehouse

Cane back 5 days later with a friend because I couldn't stop talking about how good this place is. We ordered the Marg and the Calzone. The Calzone was out of this world. The Marg was surprisingly a little dry this time. The sauce ratio was off from my last visit. The dough was still on point. I will visit again and make my final decision. The middle was just dry a little without the correct ratio of sauce.

I was bit skeptical coming here, and knowing of the line out the door, as well as limited seating indoors. The line was out the door at 6pm, and when going inside was a crowd of people waiting for their orders. The cashier was really nice, and I had seen some help from staff pointing out tables for people. But it was defiantly crowded, but felt mellow once we ordered. There was a menu written near the cashier. I'm not sure what it all meant: but we just said we would like a large daily special with garlic sauce ($45)30 min later we had our pizza! It was really good. Good, fresh ingredients, and nice chewy crust. The pizza was big enough for 3 hungry or 4 decently hungry individuals.

There is no signage outside the restaurant but June's Pizza is located right next to a brewery. The restaurant itself is so busy and a line out the door. There was no room to stand inside and hard for people to come in and out of the door. The pizza's costed $32 each and enough to feed about 2-3 people. Luckily it only took 15 minutes for two pizza to be ready! Then menu consisted of two pizza's - Margherita Pizza ( Tomato, basil + mozzarella) and Special (Cauliflower, broccoli + bottarga). We ordered both with a side of garlic sauce. The pizza was DELICIOUS especially with the side of garlic sauce. I love how much shaved Parmesan they put on both pizza's and the pizza dough itself. The only complaint I would have is some parts of the crust way too burnt to eat. Other than that I honestly really loved the pizza here. Can't wait to come back again!

Finally made it inside June's pizza for their pie in their new location on our second attempt. The line wasn't bad at 5pm on Sunday. Got their basic margherita pizza and the garlic oil dip. They give you a number and you have to find your own seats inside which are first come first serve. It's fun to watch the guys hard at work serving up the pies. The guy shaving the cheese was rolling his shoulders because it's hard work shaving so much cheese on this many pies! He slices them up too. Pizza is as good as their original location on Magnolia. Glad they are back in business because they still have the best pizzas around and we miss our NYC pizzas!

June's definitely knows its pizza. We had one of the pizzas du jour, which was a Margarita. The pizza is slightly deconstructed with a handful of fresh basil tossed on top, allowing you to put as much as you want where you want.My only critique is that although June is a brick-and-mortar location, it still has a food truck mentality. This means there is no straightforward process for ordering vs. pick-up vs. take-out vs dining in. On a busy evening, it's just a mish-mosh of customers asking each other what to do. If you're reading this, Craig, here are a few suggestions to help your customers and reduce the stress of ordering your delicious pizza:1. Allow online and/or phone orders - although this location is excellent, avoiding the crowd and just picking up your pie would be nice. 2. Take cell phone numbers- instead of standing in a crowded room waiting for your pizza, you could return when paged. 3. Have a loudspeaker announcing the number for pick up. That way, on a nice day, one could stand outside waiting for their number to be called. I know it's not cool, but it's effective. 4. A simple sign over the register reads "order here," with a roped line guiding your customers to the register.I understand these suggestions may not align with your artisanal vision, but your customers would greatly appreciate them. Good luck,BB
