The new management of this venue has eliminated the bad element and changed the environment completely. I love the new chill lounge environment. I recommend trying this place out.

What a great bar in Uptown. The staff is really cool, and they have a built-in DJ booth. House music just started on Saturday nights!

My favorite part of this establishment? The sound system. You will hear clean bass coming out of those speakers. I literally sat there, people watched, enjoyed the vibe, food and drinks. Everyone was super friendly, especially the owner. I really appreciated his hospitality. Even the security guards were super sweet. :) They were playing house music the night I visited EBXO. It was nice to see a different type of crowd here. I liked this place so much that my cousin will be hosting my bridal shower here! They have a catering menu!!! Ask about it...

Decent bar with fun music and a little bit of dancing, but we left because the female bartender with the long blue hair does not know how to make drinks. A male bartender made our drinks the first round and they were great, but the blue hair girl made the second round and the exact same drinks tasted like plain fruit punch. We took just a couple sips and even tried stirring them up but they were so weak they were a waste of calories. Not wanting to get ripped off again, we sat our barely-consumed drinks back down on the bar and took our business elsewhere.Lots of Gen Z with weird 90's aesthetic here.

I met with Janine, the general manager, and Tim, the consulting manager, of EBXO. Unfortunately, the owners could not meet because of family emergencies. I had an amazing experience with Janine and Tim. They wanted to meet to apologize for the incident that happened. They told me that 2 of the security guards involved, the 2 main ones, were written up and suspended. They'll also receive more training. I wish more was done, but this is okay I guess. Tim explained to me that he knew it was more than just a pissed off patron who would be like "fuck this place" and not return. He also knows that the clientele are important. That's why they reached out to apologize. They didn't come at me harsh or even try to protect their security guards. I really appreciated this. I told them that EBXO is well known and frequented amongst people I know. I mean, my childhood friend DJ'd there this past weekend lol. I told them I have no malicious intent; I only wanted to meet to suggest some improvements so that what had happened to my friend and me did not happen to another person, cis-genered or not. Tim and Janine were open to the suggestions and I hope that when they take the suggestions back to the owners it will be implemented right away. I told Tim that my only fear is that if I return and those security guards are there, I'm afraid they'll try to do something to me, be it physically or denying me access to the club. Tim assured me that they will not do that; if anything, theyll come and apologize to me. Lets see! I plan to support EBXO continuously because it's POC owned and well known amongst my community. I think they handled the incident really well and I really appreciate them personally apologizing to me. Food, drinks, and vibes were great. It was just the security guards.

This place ruined my birthday. I was told to make a $200 deposit on Monday to secure my section for Saturday which I did, the girl with the number on the pic attached (Isoke is her name) tried to scam me instantly saying my remaining balance was going to be more than it should have been. After pushing back she agreed she was wrong and that my total would be as expected. When we got there we were told we would have to wait in a long line still which we did. Got a bill for $650 from bottle service girl, I asked her why and she interrogated me saying who did I make the deposit to? I showed her these same screenshots and she came back 40 minutes later with a bill for what it should have been. They kept tryna charge my card for more than what the total should have been. Luckily I set my card to not take more than it should from this place.Got there 11:15pm, got our 2 bottles at 12:35am. I will also be posting this review on Google. This place doesn't deserve your business.
