Char's Hot Dogs

The burgers here are delicious and always served hot off the grill. Same with the fries, they are delivered sizzling hot. There's a good chance Char's Buffalo Bleu Cheeseburger might be the best flavored burger you'll ever have. My buddy and I eat burgers out regularly, and after trying them all, Char's is our main go-to.

I came in after this place being recommended on Yelp. I ordered the California Coney and a cup of chili. The hotdogs was loaded with all the fixings. It was very good. The chili was average. The only reason for deducting a star was because of the price. I understand that costs have increased over the past few years, but at just about $9 for a hotdog is a little high. They are all beef which I prefer. Maybe I'm just being a little cheap today. I will go back though. The service was friendly and quick. Don't let my cheapness keep you from trying them if you're in the mood for a good hotdog.

Small hole in the wall hot dog spot off in downtown Benicia. Ordered the California Coney. And so good! When you think of jalapeño you don't think it's that spicy, but their's had a nice kick to it! Loved the chili! Would not mind ordering a side of the chili just to eat by itself! all together, great hot dog and would for sure order it again!

My boyfriend's and my favorite burger spot in Benicia! This hole in the wall joint always satisfies the craving and love the location in downtown, next to the water. Always great service and food to match it.

Best burgers in the area hands down. If you don't get the garlic fries you will be missing out. I always get full sized servings of their fries because they are so good. I love coming in to sit and eat or ordering take out. The service is fast and the owner is amazing. It's right off the water so there is always something to gaze at while your wait for probably the best burger within 50 miles. I've eaten all over the world and I love Char's hot dogs and burgers.

Char's Hot Dogs in Benicia is a hidden gem for hot dogs and burgers. The menu has a wide selection of burgers & dogs. Service was great, they were attentive and delightful. Best Beyond Burger I've had in a long time. Bursting with flavor and served on perfectly toasted buns, they are an absolute delight. Plenty of options for everyone. They have veggie dogs as well!

i love this place huge fan been going for years i normally get a hot dog and there amazing. i got a cheeseburger, 10$ for a lowkey diner type food place was kind of shocking. it was okay and the fries were good. service is nice and the ambience is like 50s diner.

This review is late one. We decided to try this place out since it has been around for a long time. It's located in the Tannery building and easy to find Once we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and the place was pretty empty. Once we placed our order a hot dog and polish dog with all the fixings and 50/50 of fries and onion rings the tables started to fill up quickly. The server bought our food to the table and it was a good snack. We enjoyed everything except the onion rings were cooked a little too long for our liking. I would come back and try the burgers next time around. All in all a good place to have a quick bite.

Everything is delicious! From their Cheese Dogs, California Coney Dog and the Best Burgers to Deep Fried Mushrooms, Fried Zucchini and Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, everything is amazing! A must try if you're in Benicia!

Tried this place recently for a late lunch. Great prices, great hot dog, and those fries are just amazing! Going back to try the hamburger...and more of those fries next week.Did I mention those fries?
