"I can't believe I've never written a review for Chaplin's before. I went on a Friday night just to grab some drinks with friends. They had a DJ to my surprise and really gave the place a good vibe. We got lucky and were seated in a booth right as we walked in. They have ample parking, but also have street parking available. I got a Moscow mule which was good and some Cajun fries. The Cajun fries had a kick to them if dipped in the chipotle mayo. The service was great with the team checking in every 10 mins to see if we need another drink or food item. I would highly recommend you check it out.Just wanted to add that I went and they had the Formula 1 Australian GP Practice 2 playing so I think they play the Formula 1 GP's here. Great to know I found a spot where I can go watch and have a drink!"

"The wings are to die for! I asked them for the best beer and they delivered. It was called "the house".Great experience, staff is very friendly as well. Live music was playing when I got there it felt like I was at music festival or something. I also ordered a pizza the dough reminds me of something I ate in Italy...something similar to Blaze pizza here. I didn't care for the Kalamata olives on my topping.but all else was excellent. Would definitely one back!"
"Definitely the bar to be at during the holidays (or all year round as a matter of fact!) They have an amazing holiday cocktail selection. I wanted to try every single thing on the menu! The Pumpkin Killer and the Aged Eggnog were the highlights for me. Unfortunately, the Tom & Jerry was not available. Apparently, it takes quite a bit of time to make and the staff were quite busy on a Friday night. The only thing I could potentially dock a star for was the inconsistency of the drinks. My friend and I had ordered two different drinks from one of the bartenders, and both our drinks tasted a bit strange/unbalanced (too much mint syrup in the Mistletoe Sour and too much sherry liqueur in the Añogo). Another one of our group members ordered the Mistletoe Sour and it tasted vastly different.Aside from that, loved the ambiance and the drinks!"

"Oh snap, this place is awesome!!¡First, don't order, ask Romeo what to get. He'll set you up after a few questions. I had all the stouts, they were spectacular, especially the girl scout cookie one.Fantastic experience, thank you!!"
"Jordan was friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.Food was promptly served and warm.We ordered customized Irish Nachos, Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine , Fritto Misto, and drinks.Everything was delicious."
"Stumbled on this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and was so glad we stopped in for lunch. The food was great (recommend the Italian sandwich!). Large portions, authentic ingredients. Full bar! Plenty of seating. Clean restaurant. There's a patio, so I'm excited to come back on a sunny day. Good service as well."
"This is my fav bar in Noe Valley!! They have a great, affordable drink menu, lots of seating (tables, booth, bar, and even a gorgeous outdoor space with greenery and TVs in the back with heat lamps!) The bar has a good variety of NA beverages so I'm a big fan! This is a solid spot to watch any big sports game (lots of screens) with a group and actually sit down. On Thursday's there's a Spanish club in the back 6-8pm which is great way to meet folks and grab a drink while practicing Spanish."
"I like the lounge and I'm happy they reopened. Great place to chill before a massage and of course - there's a bowling alley inside The cocktail menu tends to rotate and it seems like the day menu is different that their evening one. Highly recommend the burger and the wings. I love their specialty cocktails and you shake visit during the holiday seasons bc their cocktail choices are even better"

I booked a surprise party here and let's just say it couldn't have gone any better.Pros: Service, FoodCons: They're really busyLet me start off by saying thank you to Alfred and the servers. You all made the night so easy for me as an organizer and everyone left very happy. We were able to book the back room for our event (at no cost, with a minimum), and we had a blast. (The only downside was it was small for how many people we had, over 35 people, but I don't put that on them).I ordered an array of their food from tacos, sliders, veggies, and fries. All of it was delicious. No one left hungry, including children. The place was packed (granted it was a Friday night) and the service was still phenomenal.Thank you Chaplin's team for making our night a memorable one!

Only based on very limited vegan options. Got veggie roll but not sure batter is vegan, , didn't get a clear answer. Only other options were various small veggie roll like gourd, avocado, etc. All noodles had dashi based broth

Ordered a large pizza was the definitely OVERPRICED . I ended up paying about 50$ for a large pizza.I will not be coming here again. It was nice to give it a try but there was nothing special about the pizza . I have gone to places that make their own mozzarella from scratch still the pizza is not as expensive. The big man who was serving us the food was full of spirit . He was outgoing and made us feel welcome . He's the only reason this place got an extra star.

I've been coming here for years- I especially look forward to the 10 days in December they begin making the Tom and Jerry. I usually pop in a few times to enjoy this specialty cocktail every year they make it. Drank the best one I've ever had made by Noah tonight, he totally nailed it. It was deliciously frothy and unique, my favorite holiday nightcap- will be coming in and requesting for the rest of the holiday season, and special requesting Noah to prepare it if he's here. He took great care of me. This spot is an establishment and must-try for anyone throughout the year though, delicious drinks and chill vibes. Love, love, love it!

MUST come at 4-5:30PM for the (SHH)Super Happy Hour, some of the food price at (HH)Happy Hour 5:30-6:30PM are the same as ordering off the regular menu although the drinks are cheaper but what is the point in drinking on an empty stomach!Sausage Rolls: pastry is super flaky although the sausage part lack a bit of seasoning but there is this overpowering mustard sauce on the bottom so overall ok.Scotch Eggs: I called this the meat lover delight, the boiled egg is covered with mince meat, roll in breadcrumbs and deep fry. Super delicious!Shepherd Pie: buttery smooth mashed potatoes I can eat that just by itself, the meat filling was a bit on the salty side but goes well with alcohol. I would just order this basic on that mashed potatoes.Steak Sandwich: overcooked steak although it comes with a mountain of fries which kind of makes up for steak, still will skip this next time.Bread Pudding: ok, a bit tippy at the end to remember this...Our server Andrew was phenomenal, when we arrive there it's only few customers but when we leave it was already 90% full, and he was still the same attentive & friendly self so thank you Andrew! It is an Irish pub looking pub with lot of TV but it was clean, no sticky table or un-sanitize bathroom, their bathroom are definitely cleaner then most of the other establishment on Castro Street.Definitely come back next week for SHH

Some vegetarian options available.Restaurant inside of the Ghirardelli Square! Fun atmosphere, dim mood lighting with a cool central bar. The decor is very woodsy in a fun way. A classic hipster brewing feel. Went over the holidays so service was a bit busy but nice. Creamy tomato soup was good but the fish tacos were even better. Sort of a tangy sauce, good crunch on the battered fish. Tortilla chips lightly salted, very fresh salsa.Good for big groups and tourists looking for a meal in the Square.

updating to add pics :) they're open on Xmas eve! kind of cold outside today so the food got cold really fast but that's of no fault to the restaurant I'm honestly a bit sick of the Xmas music but at least they kept it fresh with modern ones like Sabrina Carpenter and Tori Kelly and not all classic Mariah Carey

"There are SO many reasons to eat here, for one: the service is top notch. When you walk in each staff person greets you in a friendly and direct manner. So much so that is in fact impossible to determine their 'roles' and whois the 'bus-person' and who is the server, or host. With my two decades of customer service experience- I found this charming and decided to give some items on the menu a try- promising myself I would be good and only try an item or two and be back later to try it more thoroughly with my partner- who happens to have a more particular and discriminating yet limited palette.However- once trying my top 2 favorite sushi items for judging all restaurants by:Sake Nigiri (2 pc. Raw Salmon Slices banded w seaweed over rice) - It was off the charts buttery and amazing cut, served and the rice was not too sweet or tightly pressed, and of the right temperature. The second roll I started my assessment by was the Negihama Maki- the Yellowtail with Seaweed wrapped around the outside. It was out of this world. At that point I was hooked for life- I was so impressed at the dexterity of rolling and the flavor and freshness of the fish! They even write on the board where they purchase it from (who else does that??)And so from there I just had to try the Hirame Nigiri (halibut), which was cut glass-thin so as to remain delicate in flavor and not too chewy, amd underlaid with Shiso, one of the most under-used and delicate and delicious green herbs I have ever tasted. Then we went back to a maki roll, choosing another long time favorite-Spicy Tuna!! This is one that is often easily done wrong in SO many different ways. Sushi Chef (Max) not only prepared mine with the Sisho herb in it on my request, but he also knowingly only added a smidge of it as a true pro would (highly recommend this!). And the level of hotness was not too hot or too bland- just Goldilocks perfect!! They also have a 'fresh from Japan Menu' which I honestly have never seen in any sushi restaurant around here.My Highest most flavorful review for people who DON'T like raw fishy tastes but want to explore sushi, try the Rock n' Roll Maki - a delicate combo of California avocado, with grilled eel, and chopstick slices of cucumber, wrapped together with seaweed. Enjoyment for the whole family, and easy to chew as well! All in all the other food looked amazing on the plates when I looked around to the nearly full restaurant- when I arrived around 4:30 on a sleepy Friday afternoon, it was empty, and now making myself leave around 7:00 pm- it is hopping and has been for hours! There are wait times of up to an hour for sit in or pick-up orders, around the dinner time hours for this spot so please- plan ahead and don't - pretty please - DON'T take it out on the waitstaff! Manage your own time well if you have the money to eat out don't blame others for the privilege of it."
"Old school bar in a 100 yr old building at the beginning of the strip in Alameda with good food and fun munchies ! Also they have their own parking lot for Customers nice perk !"
"Hidden away in a corner of Emeryville, Pizzeria Mercato is silently one of the best Italian restaurants in the Bay. While the appetizers are solid, from the arancini to the meatballs, the absolute highlights are the restaurant's wide variety of classic Italian pastas and pizza. With both carbonaras and Margherita pizzas that are similar in quality to those you find in Italy, there's no shortage of classic Italian dishes to try. Having frequented this restaurant almost too many times to count, the two highlights of the menu are the chicken fusilli pasta and the prosciutto pizza, both of which are rich in flavor and leave you wanting more. With great service and a large open space with a wine bar attached, it's the perfect spot to spend an evening to relax and enjoy fantastic hearty Italian food. If you're in the area, Pizzeria Mercato is definitely worth making a separate trip out."
"Jalapeños is a gem in Vallejo, the rice, the beans, the happy hour all day during the week. Taco Tuesday is great! I've had several people come out for that! You get meat in a tortilla and you can go up to a bar and add onion, cilantro, salsa, radish, and jalapeños! It is great! 30% off enchiladas on Thursday and they are great! I love the mole style sauce they put on them! Love love love this place!"
"The tacos slap! Need I say more. I went for taco Tuesday with some friends where each taco was roughly 2 bucks and I was not expecting much but goodness the tacos are delicious! Every single meat I got ranging from Al pastor to chorizo was packed with flavor and perfectly tender. There are also sides of onions and cilantro and three spicy sauce bottles per table of habinero, sorano and jalapeno pepper spices which are creamy and tasty and add tons of additional flavor to the tacos!"
"Johnny Boi is a new smash burger restaurant that has recently opened in Richmond, walking distance from my office. I know a lot of folks early on visited this restaurant and had a lot of positive feedback so after a month or so who am I to turn down a good burger. This place has a lot of great things going for it other than the food. Its located on a corner location with streetside parking. It has outdoor seating if required and the place is bright and airy. The interior seating and order counter are obvious and not challenging to place your order. And the food comes out lickety split. The interior is cute with floor to ceiling murals. I guess they look more like high quality style type spray can murals of Tupac, Selena and so forth. The menu is grouped by Burgers, Sides, Wings, Extras, Milkshakes and Fountain Drinks. They do have a kids portion that they've titled it Lil Bellies, cute! The burgers are smash burgers which I'm a fan of. They have approximately 7 choices from the burger section of the menu and I've tried the Johnny Boi and the Fat Boi. The Fat Boi has two beef smash patties compared to the one. I usually have my burger fully dressed which includes the normal accouterments, but also has their caramelized onions, bbq sauce and smash sauce. What makes these burgers so good is that their is a balance between the bun, beef, all the dressings that one doesn't overpower the other and has a well balanced taste of all the items. Home run! I normally go with the fries but on this last occasion I went with the onions rings. They were ok, and next time I'll go with the tator tots. I do like me a good milkshake but will save my calories for the next visit. If your ever in the downtown old Richmond definitely try out Johnny Boi's burgers."
"A fun neighborhood joint! There are multiple screens over the bar if you're keeping up with local sports. It was karaoke night when I went in, and I believe they're expanding it to more days during the week! It's a casual spot, so the food and beverage menu reflects that. I got some Yeti fries and fried Chicken Momos, as well as a Grapefruit Hibiscus hard kombucha which was very good. The portions were generous - I could have easily shared what I got with another fully grown adult. Service at the bar was good. They also have a robot come out to deliver your food, which is really cute. This would be a good casual place to catch up with friends over drinks in the neighborhood. Very much a Himalayan sports bar."
"I was skeptical about this place, especially when I first entered and saw scantily-clad women grinding up against one another and grooving to some mediocre hip-hop jams. But I figured that since Brian G. and I rode our bikes from across town to check the place out, we should give it a fair shot.I'm glad we stuck around.Although the crowd was rambunctious, everyone was also totally nice and the crew dancing by the pool table didn't act super annoyed every time I'd have to ask them to move so I could make a shot. Also, drinks were good, bartenders were nice and there were two pool tables. Win.Weird thing: around midnight, the whole place seemed to clear out. Our new billiard buddies told us that it was a pretty standard occurrence; post 12:30, the only people still around are either A) alcoholics or B) those playing pool, because everyone else comes on Friday nights to see DJ What's-His-Bucket. In short, I had way more fun here than I have at maybe any other bar in Oakland. That's not saying much, considering I haven't checked out more than a handful, but it's a start."
"Watched the Champions League final at this pub. Located in the San Pedro Market Square with a parking garage nearby. We loved the atmosphere! Was buzzing with soccer fans. Loads of TV screens on all sides. The service was great. Enjoyed Calamari strips, Big Ben Burger, fish and chips.Planning to come back for the Euro games!"
"Nice find... Was looking for somewhere to grab a late bite and wrap up some business. Not many people here as we arrived well after 9pm on a Friday. Looked to be a few homie looking folks sitting at the bar. Very friendly customers (probably regulars) and bartenders. Order one of the veggies pizzas with chicken, and it was delicious! The ambiance is full sports bar, plenty of tv's and welcoming staff. I will definitely be back!"
"Only a handful of bars are open so this one gets packed full of regulars fast. Very friendly people, great drinks, and some pool tables. Small space so find your spot fast and keep it lol."
"Rickey's Sports Lounge is an iconic Raiders bar that is very well known in the East Bay. I learned about this place a long time ago, have watched UFC fights and had some good meals. The service has always been good, the food is pretty tasty with bar classics and cold beer. I believe the original owner, Rickey?, passed away a couple years ago and it closed. The new owner opened it up and kept most things the same. The overall vibe is still cool, it's a shame the Raiders left town to keep the fanatic spirit alive. I have a good friend that lives nearby, so will continue to stop by and support a legendary bar. Order some wings and a cold one if you're in the mood to watch sports and reminisce."
"What a perfect little divey bar! Pool tables and darts plus cold beer, there's nothing else needed. Staff was friendly and accommodating- especially with a non drinker in our group. The perfect hometown bar!"
"My husband and I were staying in Campbell for the weekend and decided to meet up with our friends and their family for brunch. Our friends had heard about Water Tower Kitchen and we decided to to meet there. We were able to park conveniently in the lot directly in front of the restaurant. We didn't have reservations, but were seated immediately on the patio. The patio was comfortable, with fun music playing and several heaters to keep us warm on a January day. The patio was family and dog friendly.I had looked at the menu online before we had decided on the restaurant, but hadn't realized that we were there for the brunch only menu. When I saw the menu online, there salad options that were not included in the brunch menu. I felt that the menu we had to choose from was pretty limited. Service wasn't the best, but everyone who worked there was really friendly. Our server filled the waters, but was one glass short and didn't seem to notice that he had missed a member of our party. Later when he came to take the orders, he forgot to take the order from that same person. It took a little time, but we were able to remedy the situation. As I was unable to order the menu item that I had seen online, I chose the avocado toast, as it seemed to be one of the few healthier things on the menu. I didn't try any of the cocktails, but some of our party enjoyed beer and mocktails. When our food came, the avocado toast was really delicious. It had perfectly cooked eggs that were beautifully runny and added a lot of flavor to the toast. I also liked the everything bagel seasonings. My husband chose the breakfast sand that he said he enjoyed. The service was better once we finally had gotten our order in. I actually really enjoyed my meal and the comfortable patio seating. The rest of our group was happy as well. It turned out to be a great place to visit with friends in a relaxed environment. If I lived nearby, I would made this place a regular stop, but I might come other times of day to try items that are on the regular (non-brunch) menu."
"I can't say enough about this place and I'm trying very hard not to gush. But when you have a cocktail named 'An Italian, a Frenchman and a Filipino Walk Into a Bar' and there's calamansi juice in it--game over. Pretty and refreshing, I could've downed another two. Their lime Sriracha wings were amazing and the burger with blue cheese crumbles, equally delicious served with the crunchiest, most well seasoned fries I've had in a long time. Props to our cute and friendly server, Bee. She said "like Bumble" and because I'm old and crusty, I wanted to say, "like Aunt.""
