"I can't believe I've never written a review for Chaplin's before. I went on a Friday night just to grab some drinks with friends. They had a DJ to my surprise and really gave the place a good vibe. We got lucky and were seated in a booth right as we walked in. They have ample parking, but also have street parking available. I got a Moscow mule which was good and some Cajun fries. The Cajun fries had a kick to them if dipped in the chipotle mayo. The service was great with the team checking in every 10 mins to see if we need another drink or food item. I would highly recommend you check it out.Just wanted to add that I went and they had the Formula 1 Australian GP Practice 2 playing so I think they play the Formula 1 GP's here. Great to know I found a spot where I can go watch and have a drink!"
"While on a business trip, I had the pleasure of dining here for dinner. It was so good I came back a second time (twice in four days). I liked everything about BH from the ambiance to the service to the cleanliness to the food. I ate at the very large bar both nights, and my bartender, Bruno, was excellent at his job. On two nights, I had the grilled chicken sandwich with a side salad and the shrimp po boy. Both were excellent and tasted fresh and flavorful. It is evident that they have real bartenders who care about the drinks they make. Well done! I enjoyed the Perfect King, but my favorite was the Pineapple Express."

"I can't say enough about this place and I'm trying very hard not to gush. But when you have a cocktail named 'An Italian, a Frenchman and a Filipino Walk Into a Bar' and there's calamansi juice in it--game over. Pretty and refreshing, I could've downed another two. Their lime Sriracha wings were amazing and the burger with blue cheese crumbles, equally delicious served with the crunchiest, most well seasoned fries I've had in a long time. Props to our cute and friendly server, Bee. She said "like Bumble" and because I'm old and crusty, I wanted to say, "like Aunt.""
"Solid little dive bar that gets packed and rambunctious as the night goes on. Sticky tables, torn up seats with decal stickers and movie/celebrity posters on the walls would be more endearing if there wasn't a hint of vomit every now and then. Otherwise, this is a bar with regulars! Bartender was nice and I liked the solid drinks they had given the price. The hot toddy advertisement on the board outside drew me in and was perfect to warm me up and clear my throat. The bf's gin and tonic was strong. There is a pool table and a backroom for dancing. The music was jacked up by the time we left!"
"Me & my friends first time here n Molly was such a nice bartender wit awesome customer service skills she such a sweetheart she even gave me n my girls sum bunny ears don't walk here run"
"Decent drinks here, patio seating and there is a pool table inside. The prices are fair, got a pitcher to share that is probably about 3 servings for $25, however these were pretty basic drinks, not your fancy cocktail bar drinks! We got food at the food truck on site so it was nice to enjoy both!"
"Really random friend gathering during Niners game. Was initially pretty meh about locale.Food was surprisingly tasty- Cuban sandwiches, quesadilla, truffle fries, Korean wings less greasy than your average sports bar. Mac n cheese just ok. Nice beer selection also cocktails & bottles of wine which our group had a bit of each. The few women working were total rock stars, bartending, cooking, clearing tables & super duper patient."
"Me doing a check-in... replies to my check-in:*WTF are you doing there?*You trying to pick up on parolees?Ok, so I wouldn't go walkin into Dings by myself. They recently went and got a shiny new re-model. So, don't go trying to enter through the back door anymore - it's closed and now part of the extended bar. It's a bit brighter and lighter, but it's basically the same ol' Dings. Cute bartender (even though he's an A's fan) and full of characters... and, it's pretty much the only "decent" place in the area to get your crunk on."
"Went for an evening with friends to hangout and play games. Had the famous Eli's lemon pepper signature wings with handmade ranch. Meet the owner she was super sweet and did an amazing job remodeling the place. Definitely recommend for date night or girls night!"
"It's almost been a month since I've been married so this review is long overdue. My husband and I got married on Thursday in Vallejo, and our wedding had to end at 9 pm due to city restrictions. We all wanted to continue the party and us not being from the area, didn't know where to go. Thankfully, one of our friends had done some research on Yelp and suggested that we go to this spot...AND it was the best decision ever! We took an Uber (drink responsibly friends) and was dropped off at front where the parking lot was. Not going to lie, it looked a bit sketch, but hey, we were with a large group and my friend does BJJ so I was feeling okay about it. We step foot inside and it was incredibly spacious. Full on bar, pool table, highboys, and a barber chair in the back. Come to find out this is a barbershop x bar and what an excellent combo. Chop it up (hair and convo) while enjoying a drink. That's pure genius. What I especially love about this place is the hospitality. Scratch the fact that I got married and the perks that come with it, but everyone was so incredibly nice. A genuine nice. Also, Mo is by far the sweetest bartender! It's evident how much she loves her job, how much she cares for the people and the community. Do yourself a favor and try her homemade pickle juice! My friends and I all had a great time. Thank you H Lounge and Mo for the hospitality!"
"Fun bar and fun music! I met up with a group of friends after a day at the park, and it was nice to be inside, it wasn't too crowded, and still be able to enjoy the really nice patio outside. You can play music on the jukebox from your phone which is nice and convenient. Make sure to bring your physical ID! The bouncer will not accept the CA DMV app on your phone."
"We have been going to this neighborhood gem for years - back when it was Parkside Tavern - and now that it is O'Brien's. Maybe 15 years?! We were so glad that the new owner and many of the staff of the former restaurant stayed and that the same friendly faces are still here to greet us! The ambiance is wonderful. Full bar decked out and especially festive for the holidays with beautiful decor of lights and garland. So cozy. The menu for dinner is great. We love the steak frites, the salmon, the pork chop. The potato skins are a solid app especially during happy hour. The drinks here are also solid. They do a fantastic dirty martini. Wines are good to complement a meal also. The wait staff are attentive and so welcoming. One time I had a steak that I ordered medium and our server noticed before I did that it was way under done. She was proactive and made sure and took it back to get it cooked to my liking. I really appreciate how attentive and detailed the wonderful staff is here. A wonderful neighborhood spot. We love this place! Highly recommended!"

I booked a surprise party here and let's just say it couldn't have gone any better.Pros: Service, FoodCons: They're really busyLet me start off by saying thank you to Alfred and the servers. You all made the night so easy for me as an organizer and everyone left very happy. We were able to book the back room for our event (at no cost, with a minimum), and we had a blast. (The only downside was it was small for how many people we had, over 35 people, but I don't put that on them).I ordered an array of their food from tacos, sliders, veggies, and fries. All of it was delicious. No one left hungry, including children. The place was packed (granted it was a Friday night) and the service was still phenomenal.Thank you Chaplin's team for making our night a memorable one!

Food: 4/5 Enjoy the HH dishes. The Cajun style shrimp with garlic bread was tasty. The shrimp were also a nice size. The chicken wings were ok, nothing to rave about. The drinks were delicious! Cold, somewhat strong, nice start to and Saturday around 3pm. Service: 3/5 The staff was quick and attentive when available. Because the items were ordered through the app, it takes away the interaction with the servers, so sometimes things might take a bit longer if there's a special request.Ambiance: 4/5 Very nice, warm fireplace and the decore has a very nice American rustic feel. Everything seems very clean and updated. The seats are comfortable at the high top seating. Bar looks great!

A very very solid spot! Really good food! The inside was very nice gave a good vibes. I was a big fan of the burger! Blue cheese and bacon always great combos in a burger! Man that Mac and cheese was amazing! Crispy outside and nice warm cheesy inside! The staff was great too got the help we needed and also answered our questions on the menu. Really good selection of beers on tap I had a couple Hazy IPAs so good. Overall this spot is good! Good date night spot also good if you wanna grab a beer and some appetizers. Great bartender banter to start Cold beer and fancy tasty martinis Calamari that was refreshingly NOT greasy in a light beer batter. Salmon accompanied by a polenta and a white fish dinner, both grilled. Healthy and tasty. Maria, bartender: infectious smile And energy Richard, bartender with a welcome quirky humor. They made us feel welcome with their energy and wit. Thank you crowne To Bartender Richard !Richard,You have a unique , friendly, manner. The last thing this weary traveler wants at the end of the day is stuffy formality. You are exceedingly pleasant and comfortable to hang with. Thanks fir the great , fast , service.

"This place is awesome.Came here on a random night with some out of town friends, and we ordered every kind of taco, nachos, quesabirrias, and some nice drinks. Literally everything was way above average. A dive bar like this having food this good is just crazy. To that point, it definitely is a dive bar. You don't come for the ambiance, although I appreciated its pretty clean (including the bathrooms), well lit, and the music isn't obnoxiously loud. The bartenders/order takers/waiters are all very nice. They did comment on how much food we ordered, but then again they made really good food so we kept ordering more. So it's their own fault we pigged out.Prices are fine, drinks are good, food is great, and it's a pleasant environment. I would 100% come back. They take credit cards and have a decent size lot out front. Just be warned that it's under an overpass and easy to miss when driving."
"Lots of fun, huge place, lots of screens, nice bartenders, lots of games, bomb food! I had a burger and it was big and juicy and lots of options on fries"
"Was in town for the playoff game between the Chiefs and Jags and didn't want to miss the game. My cousin, who lives in the area said that Buzzworks was the official Chiefs bar in the Bay. Headed in about halftime while the 49ers were playing. It was completely full of 49er fans and a few people with KC attire. It was standing room only. As soon as that game was over it started clearing out and all the Chiefs decor went up. It was a blast! It felt like being in KC! Buzzworks only serves drinks but there is a pizza stand outside and you can bring food in which is great. I just wish I knew that before hand! The service was friendly but you had to go to the bar to get your drinks.Fortunately the Chiefs won so it was a big celebration!"
"Only a handful of bars are open so this one gets packed full of regulars fast. Very friendly people, great drinks, and some pool tables. Small space so find your spot fast and keep it lol."
"Nice find... Was looking for somewhere to grab a late bite and wrap up some business. Not many people here as we arrived well after 9pm on a Friday. Looked to be a few homie looking folks sitting at the bar. Very friendly customers (probably regulars) and bartenders. Order one of the veggies pizzas with chicken, and it was delicious! The ambiance is full sports bar, plenty of tv's and welcoming staff. I will definitely be back!"
"The wings are to die for! I asked them for the best beer and they delivered. It was called "the house".Great experience, staff is very friendly as well. Live music was playing when I got there it felt like I was at music festival or something. I also ordered a pizza the dough reminds me of something I ate in Italy...something similar to Blaze pizza here. I didn't care for the Kalamata olives on my topping.but all else was excellent. Would definitely one back!"
"Oakland, you got one right here! Whoa! I would happily eat fried chicken and waffles despite my gluten intolerance. Wait, eat responsibly! Also, eat well! When I tell you the fried food (chicken and catfish) was crispy, light, and well-seasoned, I mean no grease spots soaking through the paper bag, no need to absorb grease with a napkin, and no full bits of just fried skin (no meat). In other words, I found myself cleaning the bone. That's the Texas in me. I'm talking finger-licking good and "maybe you should get your own, I'm not sharing" good! The waffles were so fluffy that I wish the portions were larger. I may have cheated a bit but boy was it worth it!Shout-outs to the brother who worked the door! First, for his locs and next, for his recommendation to get that catfish sandwich!"
"Ambiance, hospitality and food all get 5 stars in my opinion. Staff was generous, food came out fresh and warm! If you are into sports and are looking for variety of dishes this is the spot to enjoy some good food and drinks. We even scored by coming during happy hour so prices are very reasonable, we will be returning soon."
"After a hearty meal at DeVaughn's, we asked for a recommendation to lounge. Glad we were introduced to Charles at Laurel! For health and safety, they have an outdoor seating area, adequately spaced apart from other tables. The ground is appropriately covered, decorated with plants, and properly sheltered. Signage clearly states that you must order food with a beverage so Lisa got us the brisket fries. Paired nicely with the celebratory beverage that Charles made for us. #ThankYou Charles and have a great weekend!"
"There are SO many reasons to eat here, for one: the service is top notch. When you walk in each staff person greets you in a friendly and direct manner. So much so that is in fact impossible to determine their 'roles' and whois the 'bus-person' and who is the server, or host. With my two decades of customer service experience- I found this charming and decided to give some items on the menu a try- promising myself I would be good and only try an item or two and be back later to try it more thoroughly with my partner- who happens to have a more particular and discriminating yet limited palette.However- once trying my top 2 favorite sushi items for judging all restaurants by:Sake Nigiri (2 pc. Raw Salmon Slices banded w seaweed over rice) - It was off the charts buttery and amazing cut, served and the rice was not too sweet or tightly pressed, and of the right temperature. The second roll I started my assessment by was the Negihama Maki- the Yellowtail with Seaweed wrapped around the outside. It was out of this world. At that point I was hooked for life- I was so impressed at the dexterity of rolling and the flavor and freshness of the fish! They even write on the board where they purchase it from (who else does that??)And so from there I just had to try the Hirame Nigiri (halibut), which was cut glass-thin so as to remain delicate in flavor and not too chewy, amd underlaid with Shiso, one of the most under-used and delicate and delicious green herbs I have ever tasted. Then we went back to a maki roll, choosing another long time favorite-Spicy Tuna!! This is one that is often easily done wrong in SO many different ways. Sushi Chef (Max) not only prepared mine with the Sisho herb in it on my request, but he also knowingly only added a smidge of it as a true pro would (highly recommend this!). And the level of hotness was not too hot or too bland- just Goldilocks perfect!! They also have a 'fresh from Japan Menu' which I honestly have never seen in any sushi restaurant around here.My Highest most flavorful review for people who DON'T like raw fishy tastes but want to explore sushi, try the Rock n' Roll Maki - a delicate combo of California avocado, with grilled eel, and chopstick slices of cucumber, wrapped together with seaweed. Enjoyment for the whole family, and easy to chew as well! All in all the other food looked amazing on the plates when I looked around to the nearly full restaurant- when I arrived around 4:30 on a sleepy Friday afternoon, it was empty, and now making myself leave around 7:00 pm- it is hopping and has been for hours! There are wait times of up to an hour for sit in or pick-up orders, around the dinner time hours for this spot so please- plan ahead and don't - pretty please - DON'T take it out on the waitstaff! Manage your own time well if you have the money to eat out don't blame others for the privilege of it."

"After a holiday lunch, we stopped here for a drink. It has been a long time since I stopped at a dive bar. I really enjoyed myself. There seemed to be few changes in this type of bar, but many things are just how I remember themThe most significant change to me was the jukebox that connects to the internet so you can play any music you want. You can put extra money in and your selection will move to the top of the playlist. What hasn't changed are friendly people. The evening we were there some guy brought his new puppy. The bartender danced, to a song I had selected, with the woman sitting next to me. In the backroom, he put out pies he had bought for the holiday. People were friendly and talked to me. It was a nice way to end the day."
"This place is a hidden gem! I have passed by this place a million times on the freeway and would have never considered going inside of it. A friend and I were searching online for local karaoke bars and this one came up in our search. I was extremely skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the building. There was a very kind security officer at the door. He greeted us warmly and at the end of the night he walked up to our cars. The bartenders were simply amazing! Beautiful, fun, and witty, and they made us feel like family right away. They pour amazing drinks and at one point there was a pizza place next door (it burned down, sadly) and the bartenders would give you a ticket and you could get a whole delicious pizza for $10! This place is hella fun. The KJ is super fun and keeps the show moving. There are always a lot of karaoke singers and dancers who are simply having a great time. This has become a regular karaoke spot for me and my friends. I drive about 40 minutes each way just to come to karaoke at Jim's. I feel welcome here. I feel safe, and I always get great laughs and have a good time. Lesson: Don't judge a book by its cover!"
"A perfect bar, for a perfectly timed drink during the holiday season. One of my guilty pleasures is going into dive bars on Christmas Eve. This night hit both perfectly. You will find the older family members that have gathered together for a drink reminiscing. You find the younger bothers, sisters, cousins getting together and comparing stories. Then you have those of us with very few or nonexistent family members. Throw in one very seasoned bartender and that mixes into and amazing evening. The bar had plenty of seats, patrons were friendly and the bartender was on her job! ! Drinks were great. Comfortable surroundings. Do recommend and would love to go back in the area."
"A fun neighborhood joint! There are multiple screens over the bar if you're keeping up with local sports. It was karaoke night when I went in, and I believe they're expanding it to more days during the week! It's a casual spot, so the food and beverage menu reflects that. I got some Yeti fries and fried Chicken Momos, as well as a Grapefruit Hibiscus hard kombucha which was very good. The portions were generous - I could have easily shared what I got with another fully grown adult. Service at the bar was good. They also have a robot come out to deliver your food, which is really cute. This would be a good casual place to catch up with friends over drinks in the neighborhood. Very much a Himalayan sports bar."
"It's been a while since I last had a meal here. I forgot how darn good their food and beer were. I had the large order of the Fish and Chips. It came with a hefty order of fries and an equal portion of their excellent coleslaw. You get three large pieces of fried fish. The batter was light and crispy. The fish was delicious. The fries were crispy and delicious. I doused them with malt vinegar. It also came with some delicious tartar sauce. I washed it down with a pint of their 25th Anniversary Golden Ale. It was perfect with a light balance of tart and sweet. It's been a while since I frequented the restaurant and wish I came here more often. It's well worth the trip from Warm Springs. Come and enjoy a cold brew and some excellent food."
"Super friendly staff! Always wanted to come here pre covid, and now that I got the time to check this place out, it turns out they're pretty chill.Bartenders Leah and Jen (Jess?) Are extremely friendly and made me feel right at home. Their good luck even made me a decent amount of cash when playing the ca hot spot lottery here every time I came! If you're missing the small town dive bar feel pre covid, then definitely hit this place up during the week nights. Small but friendly social crowd.Weekends however, its a little busy but thats to be expected huh."
"Jordan was friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu.Food was promptly served and warm.We ordered customized Irish Nachos, Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine , Fritto Misto, and drinks.Everything was delicious."
"Linda is awesome! This is a great hole on the wall. This is a nice little hang out place"
"Ahh we love this place!! Absolutely amazing!! We come here for date night, or for a group hang out. The pay by the hour pool tables are awesome!! Service is great!! Love the bartenders!! Come here if your looking for good drink, beers on tap and some games of pool. Or free darts that's fun too!!"
"Jalapeños is a gem in Vallejo, the rice, the beans, the happy hour all day during the week. Taco Tuesday is great! I've had several people come out for that! You get meat in a tortilla and you can go up to a bar and add onion, cilantro, salsa, radish, and jalapeños! It is great! 30% off enchiladas on Thursday and they are great! I love the mole style sauce they put on them! Love love love this place!"
"Very good.Very clean. They treated you like family Come try them, it will be epic!-edK"
"My husband and I were staying in Campbell for the weekend and decided to meet up with our friends and their family for brunch. Our friends had heard about Water Tower Kitchen and we decided to to meet there. We were able to park conveniently in the lot directly in front of the restaurant. We didn't have reservations, but were seated immediately on the patio. The patio was comfortable, with fun music playing and several heaters to keep us warm on a January day. The patio was family and dog friendly.I had looked at the menu online before we had decided on the restaurant, but hadn't realized that we were there for the brunch only menu. When I saw the menu online, there salad options that were not included in the brunch menu. I felt that the menu we had to choose from was pretty limited. Service wasn't the best, but everyone who worked there was really friendly. Our server filled the waters, but was one glass short and didn't seem to notice that he had missed a member of our party. Later when he came to take the orders, he forgot to take the order from that same person. It took a little time, but we were able to remedy the situation. As I was unable to order the menu item that I had seen online, I chose the avocado toast, as it seemed to be one of the few healthier things on the menu. I didn't try any of the cocktails, but some of our party enjoyed beer and mocktails. When our food came, the avocado toast was really delicious. It had perfectly cooked eggs that were beautifully runny and added a lot of flavor to the toast. I also liked the everything bagel seasonings. My husband chose the breakfast sand that he said he enjoyed. The service was better once we finally had gotten our order in. I actually really enjoyed my meal and the comfortable patio seating. The rest of our group was happy as well. It turned out to be a great place to visit with friends in a relaxed environment. If I lived nearby, I would made this place a regular stop, but I might come other times of day to try items that are on the regular (non-brunch) menu."
