"The WORLD'S LARGEST mala tang chain is actually very tasty and worth every penny! I love the sweet and hearty tomato broth. It pairs really well with the various proteins and tofu.I definitely recommend loading up on the sliced beef, enoki, and the mochi tofu cakes! Soooo good. The veggies here were fresh and staff were frequently refilling ingredients too. It gets pretty busy around 6:30 PM, especially for takeout orders. This is a fun and customizable experience that I would recommend to anyone."
"King Kong BBQ Restaurant serves up authentic Chinese foods that are delicious and in good portions. Strong points include: good food, good portions, and they do their own deliveries. I can't find anything negative to say about my experience. On a Saturday, I ordered Wor Won Ton Soup, Fried Prawns, and Mu Shu Pork. Good Food, Grade (5/5). I'm 3rd Generation ABC, and this food is the way traditional chinese food is supposed to taste! The Wor Won Soup was excellent with plump dumplings, bok choy, bbq pork strips and tender chicken. The Fried Prawns were plump and moist. The Mu Shu Pork was a generous serving, seasoned well and not salty. Another key point is the prices are reasonable. The Wor Won Ton Soup is under $10, and that container was packed. I scheduled this delivery thru GrubHub. Since the restaurant does it's own delivery, there's no extra delivery fees. I setup my delivery for 4pm, and it arrived early. Good food, and I will order again!"

"Decided to try this dim sum restaurant without looking at reviews. We were at the outlets and wanted lunch before shopping. We were actually thinking of eating at JB King in the food court, but they were closed! And this restaurant is right at the front door of this food court mall. It's pretty spacious and at the time we got there, there were tables available. We haven't had dim sum in ages, so it was a treat for us! Service was quick and tea pot was brought to us as soon as you tell them which tea you'd like. **OUR PICKS**BEEF CILANTRO RICE CREPES ~ we enjoyed these! The meat was spread thinly on the crepe and it was possibly minced or puréed like a paste before cooking. It gave it a soft texture with every bite. Flavor was good too! 5/5PORK SHUMAI ~ these were good as any other tea house. Juicy, flavorful and decent size dumplings. 4/5SHRIMP DUMPLINGS (Ha Gow) ~ I liked these! Big shrimp in each dumpling and tasty! 5/5CHICKEN FEET ~ always really tasty and somewhat spicy at most tea houses and these were on point! 5/5CRISPY SHRIMP CREPE ~ these were memorable! The inside had deep fried shrimp in a light batter that stayed crispy even wrapped around the rice crepe! 5/5EGG CUSTARD BUNS ~ I love custard buns and egg tarts but chose the buns because the menu showed them as cute pigs (purple, yellow, pink!) but when I got them, they were weird looking pandas. What disappointed me more was the hard black eyes, ears and noses. It throws off the softness of the bun. Best to take them off before eating! Inside was a good custard filling. But if I ever come back, I'd choose the egg tarts over the buns! 3/5COCONUT CAKE (jello) ~ perfect ending to our meal! I remember eating this years ago in tea houses and it had the same texture and taste! Very nostalgic for us! 5/5All in all, we enjoyed their food. It's a bit pricey, but nowadays, most dim sum is on the pricier end for lunch. They add a 15% service fee so tip is included. They circled this on the bill so you see this charge. Roughly $35/pp."
"Nothing like an old fashioned Italian restaurant that matches quality meals and service. We came here for a family Christmas Eve dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our quality time with family. We opened bottles of wine ate until we squeezed some dessert and took a few table side pictures. Nothing like a Christmas Eve tradition before the New Year."
"Fresh made hand breaded chicken, and friendly service. It was seasoned very well and very tender and juicy. I wouldn't get the shrimp again, as I saw it was pre breaded and frozen, and I just wouldn't pay for that. I ordered some corn bread which I loved. Nice guys working there and very accommodating. Good price point as well."
"Ambiance was great! Take out and ate at home :). They did add two huge lights and repainted the walls about a month ago in their dining room. It looks great individually but doesn't quite work. Maybe it's the paper table cloth. Tonight's to go dinner was very good. The crispy flounder fish was crisp when we got it home and there was enough sauce. The honey walnut prawns sauce wasn't as smooth & thin as it should be but the flavor was fine. I only ate one salt & pepper pork chop. My family demolished it and they loved it. Peking duck was perfect today, a little fatty, a little thin, buns were warmed, meat on some of the bones. The housin sauce & greens were good. I was very happy with this meal. We also went for dim sum. We arrived about noon on a Thursday. It was not super full. We marked our choices and they took about 15 minutes to come out. It was much fresher on this trip. I would come again."
"We love coming here - it's one of our regulars in the neighborhood and we eat here a lot once a week. The sushi is excellent and traditional, with many fresh specials, and the staff are very lovely."
"This restaurant doesn't just serve food--it serves full-blown, toe-curling pleasure on a plate. The hand-pulled sesame noodles? Thick, chewy, and dripping in a nutty, velvety sauce that glides over your tongue like a well-practiced lover. One bite, and suddenly, you're making noises usually reserved for the bedroom. Then comes the Shandong chicken, golden and crispy on the outside, juicy and tender underneath, with a sauce so tangy and addictive it should come with a safe word. And let's talk about the Mongolian beef--caramelized, smoky, melt-in-your-mouth tender. It doesn't just satisfy--it ruins you for all other beef. Every bite is a tease, every dish leaves you wanting more, and by the end, you're slumped in your seat, breathless, disheveled, and deeply, deeply satisfied. If food could give aftercare, this place would tuck you in and whisper, "Was it good for you too?""
"Flavor galore!I've read some good reviews about Spicy Molcajete Nayarit and finally, I decided to go for it last Saturday for lunch. And I'm so glad I did.Spicy Molcajete Nayarit is a seafood medley sautéed in a flavorful sauce. You have a choice of the spicy level. For this take-out order, I decided for the hottest level of Molcajete and 2 al pastor tacos.OMG! This Molcajete is lit, legit, the bomb, and flavor galore! The sauce was so flavorful, not greasy, and the seafood was cooked just right. And the large shrimps were flavorful! I ate the Molcajete with the tostadas side that came with the order and with the white steam rice from home. It was actually even better with the white steam rice. I'll definitely have the spicy Molcajete Nayarit again from Mariscos La Playita!"
"Food and service was great. My favorite is chicken catsu and garlic noodles. Very generous portions."
"Food (4/5)Food was delicious! I would have liked a little more seasoning for my claypot rice however. It was a nice, comforting hearty meal. I've been here before and enjoyed the hamachi carpaccio too :)Price (4/5)On the pricier side. My gindara meshi/black cod small claypot rice was $37, my friend's tori soboro meshi/braised ground chicken small claypot rice was $26, and my other friend's tempura udon was $16 (this was the most fairly priced). Keep in mind that the dashi soup is an additional $2.5. We also ordered curry korokke ($10.5), which my friends enjoyed.Wait Time (4/5)Made a reservation several days in advance via Yelp for our party of three which was easy. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. We were told on arrival that our reservation was limited to 1.5hrs.One of my friends did have to wait a while for her udon while my and my other friend's meals were already arrived, so that was odd (I assume udon is usually quicker, but she did order the tempura udon?).Ambiance (5/5)Cozy interior, about 10+ tables for parties of 2-4, and three larger tables for parties of 4+ with tatami seating. It was pretty warm inside.Service (4/5)Everyone was pleasant and nice but it did take us a while to flag someone down when we were trying to ask about my friend's late dish. It also did take a while for us to get the check. No other concerns.Parking/Access (5/5)Located in a strip mall, there's plenty of parking available with no time limits. Most of the other businesses are closed for dinner time at least (the pool shop, key shop, FedEx). Probably wouldn't come back again since this was my second visit and there are other more affordable restaurants in the area with more exciting choices in my opinion. But definitely worth a try!"
"Yes, the owner's son is Jon Chu, director of movies like Crazy Rich Asians and more recently Wicked. It's been a popular Chinese restaurant far before Jon's directing career though. They have a wall of pictures of celebrities/politicians who've ate here previously. Justin Bieber, Serena Williams, Jeremy Lin, The Bush family, also apparently Margaret Thatcher ate here (damn, she ate this food and still managed to destroy UK's industry? hey-ooo)I was afraid that this restaurant was going to be too westernized, but I think they do a good job of striking a balance between western and Chinese authentic taste. Most of the food was delicious, though the Mongolian Beef didn't taste that great. That's usually one of my go-tos when trying to determine a Chinese restaurant's chops.Parking can be challenging though they have additional parking at a private lot down the neighborhood road and is a mild walk to and from the restaurant. It's a 3.5 but rounded down for me, the service was kinda meh and all the seating arrangements were very tight and crammed."

I love all the variety of ingredients here that you can throw into your bowl. This is like hotpot but they cook it for you. The way pricing works is that they weigh the amount of ingredients that you choose. There is a minimum of getting 0.8 lbs. There are many different types of broths and some are priced differently. My favorite is the classic beef bone broth with mild spice. It's so flavorful and delicious. Service is quick too. I am never able to finish my entire bowl so I pack the leftovers, heat up the soup for my next meal and toss in more veggies. The plaza can be pretty packed and there is even a short wait for weekday lunches. Tables are very close together and I don't think it would be too great of a place for large groups (such as groups of 5 or more). Most tables are designed for 1-2 people.

I got some food to go for the first time from this restaurant. I decided to go all vegetarian and got sweet-and-sour tofu, Chinese, broccoli, with garlic, and garlic noodles. I was very pleased with everything. I wish I would have taken pictures. I have been craving sweet and sour for a long time, but did not want to get pork. The tofu was delectable and hit the spot. Very generous portions.

A dependable go-to for dim sum and Chinese food, featuring Cantonese cuisine in a convenient location. King Wah is in a prime location across from the Outlets, with many competitors within a 10 minute-drive radius. The dim sum selection is extensive all week. Quality is dependable-- Maybe not the absolute best, but it is always consistent and decently priced-two things that I can't say about many other spots. Service is professional, not friendly, but I usually order to go so it hasn't tainted my experience.

Incredibly amazing! I absolutely love this restaurant! Stopped by after reading a couple reviews. I figured why not, I'm so happy I did too. Everything was wonderful from the time I walked through the door. Greeting, seating, ambiance, decorum, and waiting service -all was spot on! All of that in place before we even get to the food. I went with the Chicken Masala! Everything was perfectly cooked seasoned and presented. Chefs Kiss! I went with the Tiramisu, do I even have to say... yup, it was pour delite in every bite! This place is amazing and it is my new favorite restaurant in the Bay Area! Bravo and thank you to the entire team of Professional at La Strada!!!

Thank you for always having fresh and available Krispy Krunchy and willing to make more if needed. The service is great both cashiers were so nice and welcoming. This location has the highest stars amongst the other Krispy Krunchy locations for a reason. The Krispy Krunchy is tucked away on the corner of the store. Thanks for making gas station chicken the best!

This local gem has been around for many years! Gather round for a yum cha session at New Port Restaurant. Stepping into this bustling eatery on a sunny morning, you're instantly met with the savory aroma of freshly steamed dim sum and the cheerful chatter of families. We dove into a delightful array of treats- succulent Sui Mai perfectly balanced with pork and shrimp, tender Har Gow with its plump, juicy filling, and savory silken Rice Noodle Roll. If you're up for a sweet item, their Baked Pork Buns or Egg Yolk Lava Buns are perfectly crispy and semi sweet. These are the dim sum delights I enjoyed and recommend: Shrimp and Pork Dumplings (Siew Mai): These bite-sized gems are a delightful mix of juicy pork and succulent shrimp, topped with an orange roe that pops with every bite, always a staple!Baked BBQ Pork Bun: The sweet and savory filling of barbecued pork encased in a flaky, buttery pastry is an irresistible treat that offers a delightful crunch with each bite.Egg Yolk Lava Bun: A decadent surprise awaits inside these soft, pillowy buns-- a rich, creamy egg yolk lava that oozes out with the first bite, blending perfectly with the crisp bun. Deep Fried Shrimp Balls: Crisp on the outside and tender inside, these balls are a crunchy delight in a light, savory batter. Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll: Soft, silky rice noodle rolls filled with fresh shrimp, drenched in a sweet soy sauce--a slippery, savory pleasure that glides right off the spoon. Each dish at New Port Restaurant showcases the authentic flavors and meticulous preparation that make dim sum such a beloved dining experience. Don't miss out having dim sum here!

This is a nice little sushi bar! The service was very nice, attentive, and helpful. The food itself was all at a high standard. The breading on the karaage and the tempura were both light yet crispy. I would have like to see a little more variety in the vegetable tempura, though. The fish was the star of the show. The toro (fatty tuna) nigiri literally melted in my mouth and was such an amazing piece to eat. The chirashi included shrimp, octopus, scallops, eel, and several types of fish. They were all good, except one of the fish was cut at a weird angle, which created an unenjoyable chewing experience. Overall, great sushi place for a casual/slightly elevated dinner. Tip: The screen above the sushi bar has the prices listed for market price items. I didn't realize before ordering the most expensive nigiri on the menu!

Brittany, if you're reading this--thank you. Your review convinced me to get the hand-pulled sesame noodles, and for that, I owe you my deepest gratitude. Thick, chewy, and dripping in that nutty, velvety sauce, they didn't just coat my tongue--they ruined me. One bite in, and I understood everything. But those noodles were just the opening act. The sweet and sour fish fillet? My favorite. The perfect balance of tangy, sticky, and delicate, it melted in my mouth like a whispered confession. If food could pull you in close and murmur, "You belong to me now," this was it.And then, the Szechuan eggplant. Oh. My. God. Silky, smoky, drenched in a garlicky, fiery sauce that clung to my lips like a lover who refuses to be forgotten. Every bite was depraved in the best way.The Shandong chicken shattered beneath my teeth, crisp and golden before yielding to juicy, tender submission. The Mongolian beef? So smoky and caramelized it didn't just satisfy--it left me questioning every other beef dish I've ever had. Then came the salt and pepper pork chop, which played rough in the best possible way. Crispy, peppery, and utterly commanding, it demanded my attention and took it.By the time I reached the bottom of my plate, I was spent. Disheveled. Wrecked in the most glorious way. If food could provide aftercare, this meal would have held me close and whispered, "Shh... I've got you."Five stars. No notes. Brittany, we did it.

"Darda Seafood is hands down one of the best spots for flavorful Chinese and hala cuisine in the Bay Area. Every time I come here, I know I'm getting bold flavors, generous portions, and consistently good food. Some of my go-to dishes are the cumin lamb, which is perfectly seasoned and packed with spice, the walnut shrimp that's crispy, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet, and the hot & sour soup that's always on point--tangy, spicy, and comforting. The sautéed green beans are a simple but solid side, and the salt & pepper fish is light, crispy, and full of flavor.Beyond my favorites, I've seen a lot of love for the orange chicken, and even the complimentary Chinese tea gets a mention in reviews. The food is always solid, but the service can be hit or miss--it's fast and efficient, but don't expect a ton of warmth. The place gets busy, so timing your visit can make a difference. If you're looking for a great halal-friendly Chinese restaurant that delivers on taste, Darda is the spot. Definitely worth it."
"I have been coming year for the past 5 years. And I live across the bridge which is a testament to how much I enjoy it! The seafood is alwaysl consistently good and fresh. They are not stingy with sauce which is a big thing for me. My favorite thing to order from here are the garlic noodles! You should try them!"
"So we are back. This place changed hands a couple of years ago and went more Vietnamese cuisine while still keeping some of the best of Quinn's menu selections from before. Still has most of not all the memorabilia on the walls and ceiling. The deck is still happening as is the upstairs bar. We had the mussels and clams. Slightly different presentation but still great. Also had popcorn shrimp which with the accompanied rabbit food was excellent. Still a 5 in my book."
"Idk how I haven't done a review. I love this place. Eat here at least twice a month. They have the BEST crunchy shrimp tacos! They deep fry the shell and it's so good! They've very clean and polite! The menu consist of non meat options so that's a plus for me. They often have cookie and agua fresca too. My kid loves their street tacos. Better than most taco trucks around here."
"Burma Classic seems to be a ghost kitchen that offered both pick up and delivery on DoorDash. They had a few deals on the app including 30% off lunch items so I knew I had to check it out!Food was super flavorful and some of the best Burmese food I've had. The tea leaf salad was perfection. I would 100% order from here again."
"This place is GOOOOOOOD!!!! I don't even want to know why other places rated it low because I enjoyed everything I ate and drank. This seems to family owned business so I will definitely be coming here and spending money when I can.Shrimp ceviche, super nachos with fajita carne asada (by request) was fire!!!! They were huge and so damn good! Portion of the nachos was perfect for two, ceviche is more of a personal serving. We shared both and it was a great meal. We also tried their micheladas, Paloma's, and cantarito; ALL great. Id come for drinks alone anytime.Service was great and you can feel the family vibes. I enjoyed my visit and I think anyone would as well!"
"Great food, atmosphere and service. Great place to come get a bite and walk the beautiful neighborhood."
"Much, much better! I see there has been changes to the management, so we thought we'd give them another chance. At first we were to be seated in the larger dining area alone, but we asked to be on the bar side. They accommodated us without issue. To me the bar side is warmer in atmosphere and the Warriors were on the television. Thank you for that. Our server was attentive, friendly and had a great sense of humor. Our first surprise since our last visit, was the bread. Previously it was unappealing plain white bread, but now it is a very nice sourdough. It would have been even better warmed. We then ordered Clam Strips and Clam Chowder as appetizers. They were also much better than our last visit. While really good, the chowder needed more seasoning. We all hit it with S&P and it was great! One of my favorite appetizers was the crab cakes, If I have know they were that good, I would have ordered them as my entree'.We then ordered salad with our entree's. It was fresh and a nice companion to the main dish. I had the Cajun Scallop & Shrimp saute' and enjoyed every bite. My wife had the grilled prawns with garlic butter, also really good. And last, my son ordered the muscles. He said the muscles were good, but that he expected them in a cream sauce, whereas, the sauce was more of a light broth that needed to be doctored. That aside, a very nice dinner was enjoyed by us all. We will definitely be back!"
"It's been a while since we've been back and actually eat in person. Generally we're grab and go type of people but we had family visiting so we ate in person this time. In short, a little pricey, but hearty Korean food with friendly service.L O C A T I O NJang Su Jang is off of Calaveras Blvd. In the same plaza as Grocery Outlet and Paris Baguette. The parking siutation here is horrible especially during peak eating times. Since they're basically competing with a few other very popular restaurants and they all share the same parking area.I N S I D EThere are bbq grilling stations with the exhaust right above the tables if you're going to to do that. But it's a spacious restaurant. Just be forewarned, you will smell like food. M E N UMenu hasn't changed in the years but of course the prices have. Darn inflation. The food quality seems to go up and down. Compared to the last time we had seafood pancake here, it seems like we're back on the up.I don't think you can go wrong here, everything is really good. The ban chan also the most diverse I've seen though I wish they had jap chae as a ban chan. The dumpling tofu soup was delicious especially on a cold day. Definitely cleans up your sinuses. The spicy pork was the right amount of spicy and I did appreciate that the pieces were minced as I have issues chewing these days. The LA Galbi was fine. I didn't concentrate on eating that as we were more focused on the more spicy items as our other family members don't particularly like spicy foods.S E R V I C EService was good. Though we did end up having to ask about our Seafood pancake as we were eating everything else that was ordered and it was yet to come. I guess it takes a bit of time. I do wish they had more napkins on the table outside of the one they give you. I guess we could ask for more which we did and they did give it to us. I forgot that they used to give a yogurt drink at the end of meals and they don't do that any more. Bummer.O V E R A L LThe prices are a bit shocking to be honest, but you get a lot of food. It was nice to eat inside though I did smell delicious in the end. Lots of variety and there's something for everyone. Definitely check them out!"
"Update:1. Fish plateFinally, got the chance to try it. Must say, is a good portion . Fresh tortillas on the side. The plate includes rice and brown beans . The salad comes with dressing but always optional. 2. Shrimp quesadillaVery good combination, not too salty . No complaints here. The service here always ready to accommodate, super friendly."
"Looking for a hidden gem spot to have one of the best Bloody Mary's in the East Bay by the water before heading to the Niner game? Look no further than Sardine Can. A whole-in-the-wall type of spot that's no frills, but gets the job done. We take a Niner bus to the games from the East Bay with a stop in Vallejo. Because the bus leaves so early, we are always on the hunt for an early spot we can have a pre-game and a solid breakfast. Sardine Can never disappoints. The Bloody Mary comes with crisp bacon, and everything I've ever ordered here is solid: buttery hash browns, fluffy pancakes, juicy sausage, hearty breakfast sandwiches, fresh eggs, and strong coffee. Love the servers, a real "when you're here, you're family" type joint. Won't break the bank before a big weekend outing, and just the spot to also breathe in a little bit of the Vallejo waterfront breeze. Already looking forward to the next Sunday Funday!"
"Great new shop in Temescal that is serving up some tasty plates! I stopped by at the opening hours and the crowd was already gathering. There's seating inside that is bar style and a large outdoor patio in the back (highly recommend this seating). It's nestled away from the busy street traffic and feels really intimate in a busy side of town. The staff were really polite, informative and kept our dishes coming out in a timely manner. I have only ever tried local oysters so our waitress did a great job answering our questions all throughout our service. We ordered:- Ceviche- 4/5. I really liked the freshness of the seafood in this. I would've enjoyed more acidity and heat from the jalapeños on this just that is just a personal preference. - Rockefeller Broiled Oysters- 5/5. I really enjoyed this as a single bite. I've never had an oyster served broiled style so this was an absolute treat. It's creamy, it pairs well with the breadcrumbs topping. I'd order these again.Full Dozen Day's Selection- 4/5. We ordered six New Brunswick and six Tómales Bay sourced oysters. I was most impressed with the New Brunswick (Canadian) oysters. Some of the most creamy oysters I've had. Paired with hot sauce and the mignonette, it was the perfect bite. In general, I was expecting larger oysters for the raw servings but this might be influenced by timing of season, etc I would recommend ending with the New Brunswick oysters! Perfect final bites to end a trip to Small Change. Location/Ambiance- 5/5Staff/Service/ 5/5Food- 4/5"
"My SO loves Fugetsu and suggests it ad a choice frequently. I realized that everytime I have come by, most of their food had been sold.Today was the first time I saw all the food was stocked up and I had so many options. Their food is a good deal for most of them and I was perusing until I selected the Saba Shio Bento. The fish, croquette and karage are pretty delicious and the price is decent. They also have an extensive amount of gifts and cute items to get ~"
"We ordered too much and we liked everything we ordered. The dimsum menu has pictures you can refer to. Service was excellent, we got our food quickly and they also cleared our empty dishes fast. It was busy with lots of families. There were 9 of us and we were so full ! My favorites included - tendons , steamed tofu skin , baked pork buns, chicken feet , shrimp dumplings and sesame balls. They don't take reservations for dimsum."
"It's one of my favorite restaurants. Very Guang Zhou style! First of all, the waiter will provide free soup as the first dish. Our family love three different sauces to cook Alaska lobster. Different cooking ways bring us different good taste. The Guang Zhou style pigeon is very delicious. The price in this restaurant is very reasonable and the sea food is very fresh."
"We were headed home from the city and stopped midway in Vallejo at this outstanding restaurant based on the reviews we found online. We ordered spring rolls and an entree with vermicelli noodles with shrimp and chicken. This was perfect for two adults and it was so delicious. The peanut sauce with the spring rolls was so good we used all of it. The service was fantastic and the food was delivered to our table in record time. We highly recommend this restaurant."
"Remodeled Pho and Bun restaurant located in a sketchy part of East Oakland. Has a large parking lot where you can watch your car and a trailer encampment along 7th street thru the large plate glass windows. Ladies of the night two blocks away trying to survive the tough streets of East Oakland. The remodeled Kevin's opened in early 2024. The interior is bright and beautiful juxtaposed against the blight of the adjacent streets. Kevin closes at 7pm so you can eat and get out of the area early. The Pho's are still tasty with a good soup base, I like the Large number 1 of brisket, flank, tendon, and tripe. The fried egg rolls are also decent although it has imitation crab meat as one of the ingredients.Good place to go if you're in a rush and looking for a bright clean establishment with a parking lot."
"Still yummy as ever!!! I was really excited to stumble upon Ms. Genny's reopening here on Yelp. This was a fantastic surprise because I went by her place moons ago and found the door ajar and no signs of even a morsel. The place was so empty I thought we'd never have the chance to eat the best BBQ (since Flints) in Oakland again. When I pulled the door to I figured it would be my final connection, but thankfully Ms. Genny is feeling better and is dedicated to her business (during a pandemic no less). Quite honestly I have been avoiding interactions during the twin-demic to a near pathological level (lol), but under these circumstances I had to make an exception. As soon as she opened (she's closed on Wednesdays) I called in an order of ribs and links with sides of potato salad and macaroni and cheese. We had plenty of everything and I felt like it was the best exception to my rule. Here's what you need to know:--Call ahead to check the menu and place your order. --For social distancing wear your mask and be prepared to stand at the front door to pay and pick up. --Bring cash only, I'm sure smaller bills would be appreciated. --Things are well wrapped but consider bringing your own container to carry your BBQ home. --There's nowhere to sit, all of the food is to go. --Provide your own utensils and napkins --Tip, tip, tip (I never suggest this, but this is a special time and set of circumstances)"
"Service was excellent. Gigi was very personable and attentive to our needs making sure our drinks were always toped off!! Ambiance was nice. Tables were not too close to each other and noise level was tolerable.Food:1) Crispy Dinuguan - very tasty and pork was not fatty. 5 of 52) Pancit Miki Bihon - flavor was slightly bland 3 of 5. Seemed like it was missing something but could not figure it out3) Pinakbet - kind of soupy and we liked as it was not too salty. 4 of 54) Chicken Inasal - flavor was spot on so 5 of 55) Crispy pata - excellent 5 of 56) lumpia shanghai was slightly over cooked 3 of 57) calamari was also spot on so 5 of 5We know what to order at the next visit and we look forward to having Gigi service us. She is great and we really enjoyed interacting with her!!"
"Perfect all around. We will be back. Excellent food and service. Fish wete perfectly cooked. Thank you for a delightful evening!"
"I had heard of Chef Smelly but, did not get a chance to try his food until a friend of mine was coming from out of town and I decided to take her there. The food, service and ambience were all excellent! We both had fried fish combos and it was cooked perfectly. The wait staff were very professional and on top of it. I did note that they closed at 9 and we did not get there until after 8 so, we were still eating after they were trying to close. They were gracious and patient and never said anything that made us feel rushed, although, they did start putting chairs up on vacated tables while guests still ate. That made me try to hurry up. I left my sweater in the restaurant and the hostess ran after me (I was a block away) to give it to me. The great attitudes and service were exceptional!"
"Tastee Steam Kitchen is a "tastee" one-stop-shop for steamed or cajun-style seafood, hot pot, skewers, dim sum, and sushi. I most often get the mini hot pot or AYCE hot pot and would recommend both. For the mini hot pots, the Szechuan Spicy Pot is my favorite, with plentiful pieces of fish and beef swimming in a spicy soup. The Satay Beef Pot has a garlicky and sweet broth and is good as well, although I don't care for the grainy taro. For AYCE, I would recommend the Hot & Spicy and Herbal Chicken soup bases. They're flavorful enough such that you really don't need a sauce, but I do appreciate their expansive sauce bar. The meat quality is decent, and while I do like the fatty melt-in-your-mouth prime beef, my favorite is the sole fillet with its buttery texture. The skewers here are also good enough to satisfy a craving. The chicken, beef, and lamb skewers were generally well-cooked and juicy, but I left wanting a bit more spice and char flavor. The restaurant's interior is quite large and surprisingly well-decorated, so it makes for a nicer, quieter spot in Chinatown to bring family / guests or even catch a game on their TVs. I do think they are understaffed at times, so you may need to proactively flag down waiters. Finally, be sure to check the signage and menus for their monthly food and drink specials!"
"Soup Joumou for new years is a must for Haitians and diaspora... didn't disappoint. Happy surprise that they have Prestige, it's hard to find in the Bay Area."
