Steve D. "Porky's BBQ Sandwiches is a cloud/shared kitchen inside The Oakland Food Hall, aka "Jingletown Eats" in East Oakland. I ordered two of their sandwiches, and had them delivered by Grubhub/Seamless on a Friday evening. I ordered: The Smoked Hotlink Slider and Pulled Pork Slider. You get 2 sandwiches per order. When I opened the takeout box everything looked fine. But with closer inspection, I noticed that the sandwich fillings were a little tossed around. So I took each slider out of the box and had to re-assemble them. The Smoked Hotlink Slider (4/5): I liked this sandwich the best. It's just half a hotlink (split), pickles, BBQ sauce and coleslaw on a brioche bun. It's simple, but it tastes good and it's easy to eat. ($6.99 for 2).The Pulled Pork Slider (3/5): This sandwich got tossed around during delivery. There wasn't much coleslaw, and the meat was dry and hard to chew. Otherwise, it had a nice flavor and the bun was soft. ($7.99 for 2).Service and Speed (5/5): My order was prepared quickly and ready to go before the expected time. So that was excellent, no delays on a Friday night. So, overall it's a 4-star experience. I probably won't order the Pulled Pork Slider again. I like trying out new cloud kitchens at jingletown Eats, mainly because everything is a brand new experience. FYI: Cloud Kitchens have no diningroom. Everything is pickup or delivery. Sales are done thru apps or on a website. It's not a restaurant, it's food prep facility with multiple kitchens."

Lara W. "I have tried a few food delivery services because I really struggle to make time to feed myself. There was a time when I was losing weight and it started to really worry me, and I knew I had to find a solution to not only thrive but just stay alive! I was intrigued by Plentiful Kitchen's borrowed motto, that food will be thy medicine, and liked the idea that I could pay up front now for the best food available, that someone else would put thought into and prepare, and that in the long run it could help me fight off disease for as long as possible.I like this food the best out of the services I've tried. I love that Inbal uses glassware and reuses it. I know this is healthier and better for the world, so it feels like it is consistent with the values and intention behind this kind of eating. I love having a fridge full of food on Wednesdays and that it just makes it easier to feed myself. It is a big investment financially for me - I am not rich so I do feel the sting of the cost - but I know it is keeping me nourished and I think that needs to be a priority for me.The testament to what she is doing becomes extra clear at my workplace. I often grab a dish on my way to work and whenever I'm eating it in the staff room, my colleagues who pass by take note of it and ask me about it. People remark that it looks beautiful, did I make it myself? Clearly so many people are hungry and hustling and ill-prepared most of the time; we live a fast paced life. So I have shared this information with many a co-worker, and I'm not sure any have tried the food yet (other than what I've shared with them from my own plates) but I think if you're on this page, reading this review, it is likely that this would make your life so much easier. And Inbal is a great cook. Not too salty, never uses dairy (which I love and will inevitably eat on my own, so this helps me keep more vegetables and non-dairy things in my stomach, which I think is good)."

Steve D. "Little Skillet is a cloud kitchen inside Jingletown Eats in East Oakland. I only live about 10 mins away, so I scheduled a 1pm pickup time and hoped to get the food home fast. I got a Grubhub msg that my order was ready for pickup at 1235pm. So the food sat for about 20 mins. But no harm was done as the food was fresh and tasty.I ordered a "2-pc Chicken and a side of Collard Greens." The fried chicken was moist and juicy. The crust was crispy, but not hard and crunchy. The pieces were a wing and a thigh . The collard greens were savory and flavorful. They tasted just like the greens I had in Georgia, when i was in the US Army. I also ordered "The Works," which was 2-pcs of chicken, 2 waffles, cornbread, and 1 side. My side was Mac n Cheese, and OMG it was good. It was blended well, no weird powdered cheese texture. The Chicken pieces were breast and drumstick. I usually don't like white meat, but this breast was juicy and moist. The crispy crust was an afterthought. (A hot sauce is included in the order). What's really surprising is that this food travels well as takeout. Because I would think the waffles might get soggy when packed with hot foods. Not the case. The waffles were crispy and slightly doughy. They come with a powdered sugar, and you pour on the syrup. Maybe you want to drown it with butter, but I liked it as served. So, if you like soul food, try Little Skillet @ Jingletown Eats. Remember, this is a cloud kitchen, it has no diningroom. It's strictly pickup or delivery. If you like it, it's worth the price."

I have been reviewing ghost kitchens, micro food halls, and virtual brands for the last five years. Ruco's Kitchen is one of the best I have seen for food quality, value, presentation and service. I ordered twice over the weekend, because I wanted to see if the food is consistently good. Also, they're running a "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" promotion, and their french toast is really good! You don't believe the stock photos? Then look at my photos, I ordered:- BBQ Ribs, with Onion Rings, $18- 2 Cheeseburgers, with House Salad, $14 (Buy 1, Get 1 Free)- 2 French Toast, $12, (Buy 1, Get 1 Free)- Side of Bacon $2I will order the BBQ Ribs again. $18 does seem expensive, but these were large and meaty ribs. The meat was tender and juicy. The BBQ sauce was a bit plain, with a sweet and smoky flavor. I asked for onion rings instead of fries. The onion rings arrived still crispy. The Cheeseburgers were fairly large burgers. They were stacked with condiments. The meat patty is thick. I asked for medium rare, and it was a bit too red. Next time I'm asking for medium. I asked for house salad because fries don't travel well as delivery. The french toast was good, especially when it's "Buy 1 Get 1 Free." Thick pieces of toast, with fruit, and syrup & butter. Very soft and easy to eat. The good thing about this place is it opens early at 8am. Over the years they have evolved into a more conventional model of online ordering and brick & mortar sales. (information taken from their website - https://www.threestonehearth.com/a-community-supported-kitchen)I used to buy big bottles of their healing broth on the regular - as well as freshly made pestos, soups, healthy desserts etc. I would pick up my purchases at a designated delivery spot in the city. It wasn't always the easiest, but it was worth it for the amazing wholesome food. I appreciated that their food was based on simple ingredients and that they were conscious about listing on their menu if items were gluten-free, dairy-free, nightshade-free and GAPS Diet-friendly etc.Even though I haven't ordered from them in awhile - I still love to look at their menu (and I suggest you check it out as well - https://threestonehearth.com/this-weeks-menu). So I ordered a Mushroom Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. How was it? The sandwich arrived hot, and wrapped in foil. Lots of napkins and ketchup. The sandwich is very tasty. The meat, cheese, onions and mushrooms blend together nicely. However, this sandwich is a bit on the small side. It isn't a really big heavy cheese steak sandwich. This sandwich would be perfect for lunch for 1 person. *What's a shared kitchen? It's a restaurant that offers several popular menu items under one roof. Steve D. ""CraveBurger" is a virtual brand that's only offered thru delivery apps. Unlike food from ghost kitchens, CraveBurgers are prepared and served from actual restaurants. I ordered thru GrubHub+, and my order came from "4481 International Blvd." A little research reveals that my food came from "La Frontera Mexican Restaurant" in East Oakland. So, on a Wednesday evening, at 8:20pm, I order:- Classic Burger ($9.00), with Cheese (add $2.00).- Onion Rings ($5.00) Okay, I used to be a fast food shift Mgr, so lets talk about this Classic Burger. This is a good cheese burger. Yes, I paid $2 more to make the Classic Burger a Cheeseburger. It came with lettuce, tomato, and zesty house sauce. The bun was toasted on the grill or a flat surface. The condiment placement was right on the mark. You pickup this burger, it stays together. The meat patty shows caramelization, which means it was freshly cooked. The meat is juicy and has flavor. I didn't like the house sauce, it was a bit too spicy for a cheeseburger. If I order this burger again, I would elect to add the free pickles, ketchup, and mustard. But still a good burger, Grade (4/5).The onion rings were still crispy and crunchy when they arrived. Usually fried foods don't travel well as delivery foods. These were crispy, but a little oily. So perhaps they needed to be drained a little longer. I think these rings have the simple coating, and then deep fried. Grade (4/5).Value: $9.00 for this 11.5-oz burger is about right. Add $2.00 for cheese. $5.00 for an order of onion rings is about average."

They just participated in an independent vendor event in Hayward, which gave me a good opportunity to have a closer place to procure some barbecue! It's an amazing deal for the taste, skill, and portions that go into the food. Love a good man trying to feed people with good food instead of someone just tryna make bank. A plate of brisket was $15, ribs $14, chicken $12, and pork belly burnt ends (a la carte) were $10. First of all, the burnt ends?!?!? Fire in the mouth. Fire and fat, more like. That smoky burn on them was phenomenal - it was caramelized, almost candied meat melting in your mouth mixing with fatty, BBQ goodness. Yum, next time I need two helpings of these...The other BBQ meats included two sides. The brisket was my favorite meat. Big slices smoked well, tender, forkable, and a good amount of fat. The chicken was pretty good and tender as well. The ribs were huge, but I had a dry piece. I can't fault them so much, as I think ribs are one of the harder meats to get just perfect if you're cooking en masse. What made these meats really good was the generous spread of BBQ sauce all over them - so tangy, sweet, smoky, and delicious! For sides, they only had mac n' cheese and loaded potato salad available. And geez, both of these things were loaded. The mac came in a huge block (they came straight from the pan they baked it in), and was so thick and cheesy. Great when reheated a bit! The loaded potato salad was, uh, far from a salad! I mean, it was loaded with EVERY caloric heavy item! So much sour cream was mixed into it - someone knows how to make people full... There was also a generous amount of bacon crumbles, and freshly chopped green onions mixed within. Very yummy, very heavy, and a very unique, creamy spin on the potato salad.Love the Q, and would come for the Q any time they're closer to me! For the value and portions of their BBQ obviously cooked with heart, Dat Q BBQ is definitely one of the best BBQ providers of the bay area."

Plenty of meat. Both orders come with free spicy salsa. But if you want sour cream, guac, lettuce, jalapenos, and/or hot sauce, you have to pay extra for that. All those extra items will add a total of $4.00 to each order. (Maybe cheaper to keep some handy in your refrigerator). The tacos are easy to eat, but probably not while you're driving. The location was showing up around ramen 101 so decided to go in to inquire before trying it because I never like to try a place without any reviews or recommendations. The ramen 101 employee was so helpful and told me all about the menu and taste of the food. It helped that she had already tried the food and boy was she right about everything and I was sold! Apparently they operate from within ramen 101 for the winter season and it's made in their kitchen. We tried the soy garlic Korean fried chicken w white sauce. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and sauced. A bit on the sweet side and very very tasty. Kind of tastes similar to a Peking style pork chop flavor. But it reminded me of the days when my mom would make home cooked sweet Japanese fried chicken. The mayo was also a sweet mayo. We loved it! The portions are huge and they fill the box to the brim with chicken. If you have sides, it can easily feed 2-3 people. It's thigh meat so it's very tender.
