"Dawn and Marty are outstanding. I've had their Holiday/Thanksgiving food 3x now and I booked them again this year. Probably the juiciest turkey I've ever had and the best sides. I still dream about the candied yams. Delivery was smooth and the spread impressed all the guests. Fantastic portions and everything paired well. This will be a tradition."
"Finally, a pizza restaurant near my house that makes authentic Italian pizza! The dough is superb, due to their technique. The fermentation does something with the gluten that makes it so easier to digest and makes the dose so light and fluffy. I got the salsiccia, and was not at all disappointed. The sausage was very high-quality and quality of the pizza in general made me think of Italy. I love that the pizza is delivered and butcher paper and not a box. I also really like how fresh everything is and finishing it in my own oven is perfect for the best pizza. I cannot wait to order from them again!"
"We were expecting something totally different but pleasantly surprised. Apparently they were sued by someone and decided to change their in house restaurant to take out and catering only. They have a menu on the outside of the door with about 10 or side items you can order. Expect to wait 20-30 minutes for your order. We got chicken tikka, butter chicken, chicken kebab and garlic naan."
"Little Skillet is a cloud kitchen inside Jingletown Eats in East Oakland. I only live about 10 mins away, so I scheduled a 1pm pickup time and hoped to get the food home fast. I got a Grubhub msg that my order was ready for pickup at 1235pm. So the food sat for about 20 mins. But no harm was done as the food was fresh and tasty.I ordered a "2-pc Chicken and a side of Collard Greens." The fried chicken was moist and juicy. The crust was crispy, but not hard and crunchy. The pieces were a wing and a thigh . The collard greens were savory and flavorful. They tasted just like the greens I had in Georgia, when i was in the US Army. I also ordered "The Works," which was 2-pcs of chicken, 2 waffles, cornbread, and 1 side. My side was Mac n Cheese, and OMG it was good. It was blended well, no weird powdered cheese texture. The Chicken pieces were breast and drumstick. I usually don't like white meat, but this breast was juicy and moist. The crispy crust was an afterthought. (A hot sauce is included in the order). What's really surprising is that this food travels well as takeout. Because I would think the waffles might get soggy when packed with hot foods. Not the case. The waffles were crispy and slightly doughy. They come with a powdered sugar, and you pour on the syrup. Maybe you want to drown it with butter, but I liked it as served. So, if you like soul food, try Little Skillet @ Jingletown Eats. Remember, this is a cloud kitchen, it has no diningroom. It's strictly pickup or delivery. If you like it, it's worth the price."
"Oakland Food Hall2353 E 12th St Oakland, CA 94601Ruco's Kitchen is a new ghost kitchen* at the Oakland Food Hall in East Oakland. I have been reviewing ghost kitchens, micro food halls, and virtual brands for the last five years. Ruco's Kitchen is one of the best I have seen for food quality, value, presentation and service. I ordered twice over the weekend, because I wanted to see if the food is consistently good. Also, they're running a "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" promotion, and their french toast is really good! You don't believe the stock photos? Then look at my photos, I ordered:- BBQ Ribs, with Onion Rings, $18- 2 Cheeseburgers, with House Salad, $14 (Buy 1, Get 1 Free)- 2 French Toast, $12, (Buy 1, Get 1 Free)- Side of Bacon $2I will order the BBQ Ribs again. $18 does seem expensive, but these were large and meaty ribs. The meat was tender and juicy. The BBQ sauce was a bit plain, with a sweet and smoky flavor. I asked for onion rings instead of fries. The onion rings arrived still crispy. The Cheeseburgers were fairly large burgers. They were stacked with condiments. The meat patty is thick. I asked for medium rare, and it was a bit too red. Next time I'm asking for medium. I asked for house salad because fries don't travel well as delivery. The french toast was good, especially when it's "Buy 1 Get 1 Free." Thick pieces of toast, with fruit, and syrup & butter. Very soft and easy to eat. The good thing about this place is it opens early at 8am. Webpage: https://www.rucoskitchen.com/Ruco's Kitchen is a legit operation, and is worth a try.-------------------------------------------*What's a ghost kitchen? A ghost kitchen is a commercial kitchen that only serves food for delivery or takeout. There's no dining room or wait staff. Ruco's Kitchen is inside the Oakland Food Hall. "Por primera vez vine a disfrutar un platillo de esta comida,Y quede fascinado así que les recomiendo venir a probar es muy delicioso pero un poco picante , y el personal es amable se toman el tiempo de explicar sobre los platillos por si no estás familiarizado con esta rica comida,Thank you swaraj Indian"
"Oh wow, this was my 3rd order from Brenda's cloud kitchen @ Jingletown Eats (in Oakland). I ordered the 2-meat combo for $31, and it was hellya good! Large servings of BBQ Ribs and Chicken, sides of potato salad and green beans. Your food quality and quantity has been consistently good."
"Really good burgers. Really good customer service. I called in my order before walking in and having a sit in there waiting area they were so accommodating they forgot to charge me the food. They just walked right over to me on the couch and handed me a bag of food. I didn't realize I didn't pay till I got home. Great experience I'll be going back for the burger and to repay them for my first meal."

I strongly recommend Aurora catering. I found them through a quick google search, and they were located right down the street from my agency. We worked with them for a catering event for 30 people for our agencies board and leadership team. Since covid it's been hard to get a hold of companies. Especially when it's a smaller event, under 50 people. Dawn quickly picked up the phone when I called. She was so friendly and helpful right off the bat. She gave great recommendations on dishes that compliment while meeting dietary preferences. The day of the event, the company arrives right on time to set up. They were so friendly and professional. They even gave us an extra pan of chimichurri chicken! Everyone was so impressed with the food and presentation, including myself. The food was delicious, and we received many compliments and requests to share the catering company info. We will definitely be using Aurora for future events!

Pizza Matador offers the perfect solution for those nights when you want to eat piping-hot, freshly baked pizza, but stay in: delivered-to-your-door, partially baked pies that you finish in the oven. Say farewell to that lukewarm, soggy, disappointing pizza that sat in the car way too long on its journey to your mouth. Pro tip: Order online before 2 p.m. for a discount. Pies tend to sell out quickly, so ordering early also ensures a better selection. Then, pick your delivery window and wait for the text alert letting you know your pie is on its way. P.S. An additional convenience is the minimal wrapping that the pizza arrives in, all paper products that can easily be tossed in the compost bin. Goodbye embarrassingly large pile of empty pizza boxes

Food is great, most of the time. Really fresh and flavorful ingredients, well-prepared. This place is a pain in the butt & requires orders before noon. There's no way to change or add on to an order. Pricing for mainstream items is in line with the area.If you choose to splurge and choose a $30+ entree, I think it should be presented perfectly. They missed the chawanmushi and were not reachable by phone or email. They never responded and that was a waste of money.

One bright side of 2020, Little Skillet gracing the East Bay with their presence. We placed our advanced pickup order and the food was hot when we got there. Definitely a plus coz some of these places just prepare it all and let it sit there and it's all cold by the time you start eating. Of course they still serve good ass fried chicken. Even the white meat which is normally gross anywhere is delish. They're only accepting takeout or delivery orders since they're in what I think is a communal kitchen?

I got to pick up lunch from Ruco's after seeing a TikTok video about them this morning. All the food looks so good! Sandwich was 12/10 and the people at the food hall are so nice. Definitely will be back to try breakfast! You can tell a lot of love and effort goes into the food.

One of the best Vada Paav & Bread Pattice I have ever had in USA so far. Vada paav is extremely delicious and comes with three chutneys. Original taste of vada paav is neither too mild nor too spicy. Its perfectly balanced. However, you can definitely add flavors of these chutneys to alter the spice level of vada paav.Bread pattice is also a must to try.

These portions though!!! I can't believe how much delicious food I get for the price. Literally could feed me and you, your momma and your cousin too...But portion size wouldn't matter if the food was trash. Let me tell you though, you can't go wrong no matter what you order. I've tried the catfish, mac n cheese, ribs, links, yams, and no matter what I eat I'm never disappointed. You're only disappointing yourself by not trying this out!

When I read in Nosh about The Melt I was pleased to see they had grilled cheese sandwiches paired w/ tomato soup, the perfect, iconic comfort food. I suggested it to Nina for today's lunch. It's sharing space w/ Homeroom and people seem to be doing more takeout than dining in. When I got there Nina had staked out a table outside, thoughtfully giving me the chair w/ my back to the sun. Our server had already given her menus. I knew what I wanted but she didn't, so she looked them over and decided on the spinach and 'shroom burger. Our server didn't ask her what temperature she wanted it and she didn't specify, so it came well done. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup. Of note is that there are no prices on the menu, so you're unsure what you're going to pay. Neither of us has seen that before. We both had water to drink because they don't serve tea.Nina's burger came out first and my sandwich and soup came out a short while later. Our server brought us each napkins and a fork, both of which were good quality and a nice, hefty weight. Nina requested a knife to cut her burger in half and it was brought. When she bit into her burger she discovered its well doneness. She wasn't pleased w/ that but liked the burger nevertheless. She had just had a spinach/mushroom crepe and had been displeased w/ both the spinach, which hadn't been cut up, and the mushrooms, which looked and tasted canned. She liked these better, although the spinach wasn't cooked and was just leaves scattered on top of the burger patty. I was bored w/ the sandwich, which was just cheddar, while I prefer a mixture of cheeses, but the soup was transcendent, the perfect tomato soup w/ croutons on top. When we were finished Nina went inside w/ our credit cards to pay. When she returned she reported that I had been given a child's sandwich, so perhaps the adult sandwich is more complex and interesting. She also reported that the prices were amazingly low. She said asked our server why there were no prices on the menu and he said he gets asked that a lot. She and I speculated that it might be to give people a pleasant surprise at the end of their meal. The sun felt so good on my back that I just sat and basked in it. Nina came over after lunch and sat beside me so it could warm her too. Then she left to go to Berkeley Hort and take care of other errands. Meanwhile I continued to bask until the sum shifted and all of a sudden I felt cold so I got up and left. I would definitely return for the soup and I will check what's in the adult grilled cheese. Maybe try one of the burgers.

"I didn't like their biryani at all!!!I ordered one boneless chicken biryani and veg dum biryani.Chicken biryani- it was very dry and overly spicy.Veg biryani- I don't know what masala they made, but it didn't taste good and it overly spicy as well. But the quantity of food is pretty huge. I think 3 people can eat in one plate!"
"Thin Pan Vegetarian And Vegan is a cloud kitchen at Jingletown Eats in East Oakland. It's menu features vegetarian Thai food. FYI, a cloud kitchen is a restaurant with no dining room. All transactions are done thru apps like GrubHub or Seamless. Everything is pickup or delivery. I tried to do some research, to see if this cloud kitchen has a parent restaurant. Based on similarities in menus, I will guess and say.....this is the vegetarian menu of Banana Blossom Thai.On Dec 29, I ordered Imperial Rolls and Pad Se-Ew. In general, the food is good. The Imperial Rolls are not greasy or oily. The rolls are deep-fried, wrapped with vegetables, taro, and bean thread noodle.Pad Se-Ew is fried flat rice noodles with tofu, soybean, broccoli, carrot, and egg. This dish resembles chinese chow fun. But takes a step up when tofu is added. Also, the veggies aren't cooked tender, they're a little crunchy. This dish is loaded with broccoli and carrots. The takeout boxes are simple white cardboard, so the fried rice noodles don't get too soggy as the container allows steam to escape."
"They saved us (sort of)! All of our favorites were closed already but OakTown was still open and delivering! We tried the wings, the chicken bites, and the super crispy tacos. My favorite were the super crispy tacos. Crispy and flavorful! I'll definitely order from them again. I have a feeling, I may crave for the tacos!"
"So incredibly impressed!! Was browsing Uber eats and came across this place. Never heard of it and couldn't even locate it on Yelp or google. The location was showing up around ramen 101 so decided to go in to inquire before trying it because I never like to try a place without any reviews or recommendations. The ramen 101 employee was so helpful and told me all about the menu and taste of the food. It helped that she had already tried the food and boy was she right about everything and I was sold! Apparently they operate from within ramen 101 for the winter season and it's made in their kitchen. We tried the soy garlic Korean fried chicken w white sauce. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and sauced. A bit on the sweet side and very very tasty. Kind of tastes similar to a Peking style pork chop flavor. But it reminded me of the days when my mom would make home cooked sweet Japanese fried chicken. The mayo was also a sweet mayo. We loved it! The portions are huge and they fill the box to the brim with chicken. If you have sides, it can easily feed 2-3 people. It's thigh meat so it's very tender. They only operate thru delivery platforms like ubereats and have been there for just a few weeks. I would definitely return. Have already recommended this place to family."
"Brazas Birrieria Taqueria is serving delicious Mexican food from it's ghost kitchen at the Oakland Food Hall. It's menu includes: Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Combo Plates, Family Packs, and much more. On a Monday evening, I ordered:- 2/2 (2 & 2) Two tacos and two quesabirrias, with onions & cilantro.- California Super Burrito, w/ carne asada, onions, and cilantroTasty food. The tacos and quesabirrias were fresh and loaded with savory flavor. The CA Super Burrito was made with carne asada, sour cream, guacamole, fries, onions & cilantro. The burrito weighed in at about 30-oz. A ghost kitchen has no dining room, so don't go looking for this restaurant. It's inside the Oakland Food Hall, a cloud kitchen facility. All orders are done thru delivery apps like Doordash or Grubhub. Payment is electronic, and everything is either pickup or delivery. I had this order delivered. Located at 2353 East 12th St, in East Oakland"
"Delicious and convenient Mexican food. My family ordered quesabirrias, al pastor super nachos and a kids carne asada burrito, and for $1 extra we got homeade chips and salsas.Food was flavorfull and portions were generous."
"The Brass Haas is a ghost kitchen* that serves up open-faced sandwiches, sides and drinks. In particular, they serve a variety of Avocado Toast sandwiches. I've seen The Brass Haas listed on local food delivery apps for awhile now. I wasn't really sure what they serve because there's no description and the photos are terrible. But this morning, I saw Doordash offering a "50%-off " promo to try this place. Ok, I'm taking that deal! So I order the " Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast" and a hashbrown. The Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast has avocado, smoked salmon, onions, capers, and creme fraiche. The sandwich is actually pretty tasty. Also, presentation and appearance was nice too. Although the smoked salmon did slide around a little in transit. The open-faced sandwich dates back to the Middle Ages. It's simply a piece of bread, used as a platter to hold all kinds of good ingredients. But they must be placed with care and skill. How is looks and tastes are both important! The proper way to eat an open-faced sandwich is with a fork and knife. But we are in America, so freedom of choice says I'm using my hands! And of course, the onions and bits of salmon fell off the toast. So overall, a 4-star experience. Doordash delivery was prompt, direct, and friendly.-----------------------------------------------------------* The Brass Haas is ghost kitchen at the Oakland Food Hall. "I'm impressed that someone actually improved the breakfast sandwich. The basic egg, sausage, and cheese sandwich got a promotion to Egg, Spicy Sausage, Cheddar Cheese, Aioli on a Brioche Bun. The result is a delicious sandwich. Delivered fresh and still warm from Eggwich's cloud kitchen at the Oakland Food Hall, aka "Jingletown Eats." I'm not really sure what makes this sandwich so much better. Perhaps it's the spicy sausage and the garlic flavor from the Aioli. Together with satisfying blanket of egg and cheese. All together on a Brioche Bun.All I know is it's a good breakfast sandwich!"
"Porky's BBQ Sandwiches is a cloud/shared kitchen inside The Oakland Food Hall, aka "Jingletown Eats" in East Oakland. I ordered two of their sandwiches, and had them delivered by Grubhub/Seamless on a Friday evening. I ordered: The Smoked Hotlink Slider and Pulled Pork Slider. You get 2 sandwiches per order. When I opened the takeout box everything looked fine. But with closer inspection, I noticed that the sandwich fillings were a little tossed around. So I took each slider out of the box and had to re-assemble them. The Smoked Hotlink Slider (4/5): I liked this sandwich the best. It's just half a hotlink (split), pickles, BBQ sauce and coleslaw on a brioche bun. It's simple, but it tastes good and it's easy to eat. ($6.99 for 2).The Pulled Pork Slider (3/5): This sandwich got tossed around during delivery. There wasn't much coleslaw, and the meat was dry and hard to chew. Otherwise, it had a nice flavor and the bun was soft. ($7.99 for 2).Service and Speed (5/5): My order was prepared quickly and ready to go before the expected time. So that was excellent, no delays on a Friday night. So, overall it's a 4-star experience. I probably won't order the Pulled Pork Slider again. I like trying out new cloud kitchens at jingletown Eats, mainly because everything is a brand new experience. FYI: Cloud Kitchens have no diningroom. Everything is pickup or delivery. Sales are done thru apps or on a website. It's not a restaurant, it's food prep facility with multiple kitchens."
"Jack's Cheese Steak is part of a shared kitchen* in a Krispy Krunchy Chicken(KKC) location in East Oakland. The other day, I saw that DoorDash was offering a 20% promo to try this place. So I ordered a Mushroom Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. How was it? The sandwich arrived hot, and wrapped in foil. Lots of napkins and ketchup. The sandwich is very tasty. The meat, cheese, onions and mushrooms blend together nicely. However, this sandwich is a bit on the small side. It isn't a really big heavy cheese steak sandwich. This sandwich would be perfect for lunch for 1 person. *What's a shared kitchen? It's a restaurant that offers several popular menu items under one roof. The customer has more choices, and doesn't have to drive around looking for different foods. Everything is fine, as long as they don't mix up the orders. So check your order.Enjoy, and support local business!"
