"Great bean pies. I buy these pies every chance I get at the Hayward farmer's market The owners also have a store on East 14th street that I will visit soon"
"Very good treats and even sweeter service! I've always felt like Alameda was missing something in the bakery department and Mrs. T's totally fills that role. Everything tastes homemade and small batch. The first time I popped in, I was with my 11 month old daughter and she dropped a bib. A few weeks later, I popped back in and Mrs. T asked ''Is this yours?'' And there was my baby's bib! I couldn't believe she saved it and remembered it was mine. I love small businesses with small town owners like this. I'll enjoy supporting this small business. :)"

"Cookies yes, yes and more Yes's please! These cookies although many try to claim are overrated are definitely delicious. They melt in your mouth and leave you wanting more. My family and I like to order the 6 pack box and get one of each that we all love. My favorite being their classic pink sugar however that was before I knew when you ordered the chocolate chip they service it to you warm! That right there is genius! We were literally fighting over the chocolate chip which is an overall classic fav. The stores are small but welcoming offering really great photo ops! I really enjoy the atmosphere of their stores just so cute like every pink lovers dream!"
"I can't even begin to tell you how depressing it is to come here for a couple slices of pizza alone (the pizza always slaps so I never feel bad about that). It's been relatively lonely since I moved here and I've had pizza more times that I'd like to admit due to the social nature of the dish. But, oh my god was it weird to just bike up, lock up, walk in, order two slices for like $9, then eat it alone on the patio outdoors in sunny norcal with my backpack still on. The staff was so friendly and there were absolutely zero positive vibes emanating from me, not in an emo way, but in a, "man, this dude could use a friend or two-" kind of way.Really hoping I have some company the next time I come back. Would recommend when I'm not so pathetic."
"So happy there's a new bakery in the area! Took over the former Valerio's in the Island Pacific supermarket. They have such a unique variety of pastries, breads, dessert, cake, and more! A lot of items I have never seen in other similar Filipino bakeries. Will have to come back to try them all. I was kinda overwhelmed by how much stuff they have, I had a hard time figuring out what to try first! The front counter area by the register also has some options of different samples to try that are precut into smaller pieces. I ordered a fresh Taho which comes in a plastic cup. The size is pretty big, like a medium sized iced drink cup. For bread, I bought the Hopia Pastillas, Monggo Loaf, and Cream Loaf (toast). The Hopia is sooo good. Not very sweet at all! They accept cards as well and have a rewards program. Interior decor is nice and welcoming!"
"GREAT FROZEN CHINESE DUMPLINGS HERE. If you have frozen dumplings on your grocery list don't get them from the grocery store, get them from here. Review is only for the frozen dumplings and not their baked goods. They taste fresher, the skins are thin, and it's bursting with fillings. They are located in the freezer on the right side when you walk in, they will be in black takeout containers with clear lids or in bags. They were almost sold out around 2:30 pm which means tons of people are buying them. Some pricing for the ones we bought:-Pork wonton = $6.99-Shrimp, Pork, Chive Wonton = $7.99-Shrimp, Pork, Chive dumpling = $x.xx (forgot pricing)The dumpling we pan-cooked gyoza style with oil and did the other half boiled. Both were really good and tasted home-made and fresh, like something an older relative would make.Wontons same high quality, very good in leftover chicken soup on a cold day.If you've never been here it's inside the Lion Market, just look for Lion in the plaza and walk in, it'll be down the entrance walkway on the left."
"The Biscoff Tiramisu is amazing. I also had their coffee Americano. There is seating outside if you want to eat what you purchased. I think the owner served me and she was really friendly and nice."
"Found a new favorite cafe in town! Lovely interior and very friendly owner and staff. I've been going almost every day for the past two weeks for their Persian Rose Tea and am just starting to try out their baked goods. Cardamom and saffron cookie goes really well with the tea!"
"They made a beautiful and delicious cake for my son's first birthday at a very reasonable price. We went with the taro pudding filling and it was a big hit with our guests. The cake was a little heavy so the gentleman working even helped me place it in my car.I Facebook messaged them a photo I found online with a few tweaks and they were able to replicate the look I was going for. If you have a very specific vision for your cake then I would suggest making a rendering of what you want."
"I am originally from downtown Los Angeles where you can find a panaderia every few blocks! I was so happy to stumble upon Delicias! For a moment I felt like I was at home. They have all the panes you would imagine like conchas, quesadillas, bolio, and more panes dulce.Very friendly owner and fresh bread!"
"Wow !! Their cakes are always so fresh !! One of the nicest bakery in Fremont. They have a variety or breads and snacks, but I mostly go for their cakes. They generally dont keep cakes ready, but prepare fresh for you in 15 mins. Their mousse is melt in mouth. Sponge so soft and fresh. We always enjoy their chocolate and Mango mousse cake. They staff is always nice and friendly.I ordered a special cake for my Sister's baby shower and that turned out perfect. Would always recommend their cakes."

Baby Bean Pie opened where Creative Sips was in E. 14th. Eatery. Mostly inside seating. 2 tables outside. Decor no changeOfferings: savory/sweet/hand pies, creamcakes, drinks, fish hoagie, cookies...Bites: free samples cookies on Friday. PassedOrder at counter, pd, food brought to table in 15 minutes.Baby bean pie sweet (3)-crust tasted the usual graham style. Navy bean filling smooth, taste probably same. Not eaten forDecadesFish Hoagie (13.50) with house made wheat roll-whiting filet had skin, a few small bones. Decent size. No flava due to it's light batter friedness. Great comfort food sensation from mix of lettuce, tomatos, tart pickles, red onions & flavorings of mayo, black pepper, & spices. 4.5 stars. street parking Difficult at peak hours.

If you haven't tried Treats by Mrs. T yet, what are you waiting for? :)Some of my favorites are the: 1. Signature Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies, 2. Classic Crispy Treats, and 3. Funfetti Cookie Bar with Brown Butter Frosting.None of these tasty treats are ordinary (but they are all addictive). The ingredients are obviously high quality and utilized by someone who has mastered the nuances of baking for maximum flavor. The buttercream, in particular, is melt in your mouth delicious, and I look forward to ordering a custom cake for my next birthday.I highly recommend supporting this local small business that is both woman and BIPOC owned, whether you are treating yourself or gifting some sweets to friends, clients, or colleagues. The professional packaging and excellent customer service are a bonus.

I want to love this place. On appearances alone it shows promise. The kitchen is modern and clean with fancy Swedish ovens and sacks of all natural flour waiting to be turned into bready goodness. The staff are friendly and helpful but the thing that lets it down is the bread and I feel that if you're a bakery, you should be nailing that. I've tried multiple different bready products here and they are all without exception overworked and stodgy with a very poor crumb structure. It's like there's a fundamental issue with their bread recipes and that plays out in the end product. Take for example, the brioche knot. Brioche should be light as a feather resplendent with an abundance of eggs and butter but what you get here is a dense, almost chewy bread roll studded with fruit. The flavor is ok but the texture is not even remotely brioche like. The cookie brittle is decent and the coffee is excellent but y'all, you gotta work on your bread.

San Honore Panaderia opened where Valerio's Bakery was inside Island Pacific Supermarket. Self service section of pre-packaged pastries, jellies, breads, cakes...specialities are the layered cakes, pan de sal, taho, & Philippine brewed coffee. Very small browsing area. Didn't linger where crowds could congregate. Pointed out a few items in trays i thought were ready to eat. Discovered heating them in convection oven a few minutes is best to activate nuanced flavas. Bites: chicken empanada (3.25)-blandish even when heated. Veggies & crust more flavored. Chicken nada taste.Cheesy garlic bread (4/5.99)-just a chewy biscuit at room temperature. Heat brought out cheese & garlic notes.Puff mini pies (2/5.99)-same experience as cheesy garlic bread. Crust livelier when heated. Tuna version a good "fishy" scent while Chicken flava a.w.o.l. 3.5 stars would skip counter items next time. Seek out signature items

We visit this strip mall often when we find ourselves in Newark, and occasionally pop our heads into La Farfalla. They offer a pretty good deal on bulk refrigerated buns and frozen dumplings, and have a pretty good assortment of breads and pastries to choose from.On our last trip here, we bought a pistachio bun. It was definitely our LEAST favorite bun of the batch we chose, and highly regretted getting it. Overall the flavors here are ok, but they never seem to hit it out of the park from the ones we've bought so far. Service was friendly, and shop is pretty clean looking from the exterior.

"I had heard such good things about this bakery, but the truth is that I don't ever find myself in Oakland in the morning. However, here I was walking on Grand Avenue on Friday around noon. The door was open, and the sandwich sign was out. There was already a steely woman with two boxes of baked goods. I was just hoping she left something for the rest of us.I quite like the idea of a female-run bakery that serves goodies with a dim sum twist. There are no cafe tables in here, so I decided to get three things to go. The first was the $5.25 Lilikoi Milk Bun sprinkled with black sesame seeds and shaped like a concha (photo: https://yelp.to/Z05tT9fmFP). The passionfruit provided a nice tropical zing. The second was the $2 Thai Tea Mochi Bite (photo: https://yelp.to/TZ_f96CKSI).It was definitely a bite much like a mochi mini-muffin. Quite good but you probably need a half-dozen to be happily satisfied. I have to say the most satisfying item was the $4.50 Ube Cookie still soft and warm from the oven (photo: https://yelp.to/vnCitixzu9). I think it was really a combo ube-coconut cookie which frankly made it even better. There are other delectables to try next time like croissants and an okonomiyaki danish. Music to my palate.FOOD - 5 stars...nicely crafted and quite delicious dim sum-style baked goodiesAMBIANCE - 4 stars...nice space, no tablesSERVICE - 4 stars...polite, a bit minimal due to waiting customersTOTAL - 5 stars...unique enough to seek out, for sureRELATED - Exploring Oakland? "Everyone in the fish and meat department was friendly today. Same with the cheese department but I had a bad experience checking out in produce this afternoon. I saw this young woman cashier arguing with an older man as I was shopping. So when I went to checkout I tried to get into a different line but she said I was going the wrong way and to turn around and come back to her. I suggested that if they had changed the way the line works there should be a sign and she started arguing with me. When I asked about the cost of an item and plastic bags she again argued with me. I told her I wasn't there for a lecture. She left without completing my checkout and another woman came and finished it. I don't feel like someone who is working and having a bad day should argue with the customers. I would give one star for produce if I could, but overall it's a good market."
"Outstanding for custom cakes. I sent an inspiration photo from a rather high maintenance client and got timely and helpful communication back from Rebekah. The final product looked perfect and also tasted delicious!"
"Reviewing the Churro Cart. I stopped to get my carry out order at Guadalajara Taqueria next door and I saw the churro cart. I've not had to many churros before, actually only once. Jack-the-Box doesn't count. So had to try!Thank lovely señorita made it on the spot. Frying in hot oil, then coating it in cinnamon sugar, and injecting the caramel inside.Goodness! I ate it right in front on the cart. The caramel oozed into my mouth with every bite. Mucho bueno! I was tempted to get another one however, I didn't want to ruin the experience. Señorita said the cart is open daily. I will definitely return!"
"Solid French bakery. No frills ambiance - wait in line, order at counter, and pay. Although there's a line, it goes quickly as their selection is limited. Pastries are quality and they have the classic croissants (original, chocolate, almond) as well as some other lesser known items to explore. All are amazing."
"We love going here on Sundays at the Newpark mall farmers market. The nicest folks with a wide range of delicious baked goods. Baked fresh that morning, the cakes, danishes, muffins, and breads are all great so go get whatever sounds good!"
"Located in the plaza where Lion Supermarket is. The storefront is smaller than the one on Barber Lane in Milpitas, but service was incredible. I purchased a mocha cake for pickup on Christmas Day; thrilled and grateful that they are open. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted. The 2 ladies working that day were cheerful and sweet. We were the only ones in the store, so we were helped right away. I showed the lady the email confirmation and the rest was history. The process for ordering and pickup, the design of the cake, and the moist and decadent flavor reminded me so much of the bakery that is now closed. I have been searching for a long time for a mocha cake. The bakery that closed is called, "Thanh Bach." Sheng Kee's cappuccino cake was so delicious and light. The frosting, fluffy. Gave me nostalgic memories. I cannot wait to order it again for my mom's birthday."
"Small bakery with dining both inside & out. I've come here numerous times and always for the bread sticks! I mean green olive sticks of loveliness. . I also grabbed a mushroom & sausage pizza for dinner. It was also delicious. Oh, and bruschetta...meh. It was okay. Service was okay. A bit rude but nothing major. But nothing memorable either."
"Omg this was an amazing experience. This bakery is in a cute little neighborhood of Berkeley. Not fancy looking but the most amazing cheese Danish I've ever eaten in my life. I'm not a pastry person but I love a great Danish and this was it. Life is more amazing after consuming this beautiful morsel."
"The best French style bakery I have ever been to.The olive bread knot was amazing. It's all good."
"This is definitely a hidden gem, with the Mixed Carnitas Michoacán Burrito as my all time favorite dish here. It hits the spot every time and leaves me fully satisfied. Whenever I visit for lunch I am truly impressed with the quality and tastefulness of the Carnitas Michoacán & Chicharron, it is truly mouth watering and so delicious I can't help myself but to keep craving more and more."
"The shop is very quaint and has a wide variety of baked goods + farmer's market quality condiments. This is a Berkeley staple! The apple cider was very tasty and warm. It seemed like they poured it from a premade container that was sourced from a local farm and then warmed it up. Both baked goods were fantastic and baked fresh that morning. The Rosemary puff is lovingly described by my friend as a "savory donut" - and for good reason! It has a sourdough base that is both fragrant and flavorful, but not overpowering. It has the perfect amount of sea salt seasoning and rosemary flavor, and just enough oil to make it soft and slightly juicy in the best way possible. It tastes great on its own or with one of the sauces sold at the collective! The pear ginger muffin was also very yummy and fresh with a distinctly citrusy flavor. It was fluffy and not too sweet. 10/10 experience!"
"Delicious and authentic items from Portugal. I love coming here to get my childhood favorites like fresh popsicos, cheese, butter, and red peppers. I love the variety of desserts and items on display. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking to try new desserts or interest in adding delicious spices in your recipe. Highly recommend :)"
"This place is my new guilty pleasure. Ample parking and pastries are amazing. The selection isn't very big, but everything that I have tried so far is flavorful and the absolute perfect level of sweetness. Casual ambiance; very few people stay to eat. Staff only speak Mandarin Chinese, but I'm sure they'd be willing to help if you're willing to point. They do a 5% cash discount, and $10 minimum card. Every time I pass by with cash in my wallet, I take it as a sign that I was meant to get pastries that day, haha. Prices are a little higher, but well worth it for the quality of the goods. My favorites so far are the mochi taro cake and the taro cheesecake. The baked goods surprisingly keep really well; I forgot my taro goodies in the fridge before leaving for a weekend trip, and they were somehow just as yummy (even the mochi was still soft) when I got back. Everything is light in texture, and if you're a fan of taro, you absolutely need to try the goods here; the taro taste comes through this delicious paste they make. I'm not the biggest fan of their savory treats (I also can't stand pork sung on sweets), so I'd recommend their taro desserts or egg tarts instead. Haven't tried their milk teas yet, but seems very fresh and popular, seeing as they've sold out of a lot of their selection each time I've gone! Love the sweets here; I'll definitely be back!!"
"I had the pleasure of consuming a delicious pumpkin chocolate chip cupcake at Wicked Grounds in SF back in November. I housed it in seconds flat and was instantly sad once it was gone.So of course, I contemplated having another. The cupcake was moist, pumpkin-y and absolutely divine. I'm glad that vegan baked goods exist and that Idle Hands knows how to do it right."
"The best Afghan fresh baked bread and other sweets .. best Afghan grocery market I live in OC but whenever I'm in SF then I always get a bunch of fresh baked bread from them"
"I came here for the burritos but they don't have them anymore, so i pivoted and ordered some of the pastries. I had a few of the croissants and they were all pretty good. The lady at the counter was nice, but it was on the busier side so it was purely transactional experience but the service was good and it was quick. The place was nicely decorated inside, but like the other reviews it's more of a grab and go place. I bought one pack of the cookies, and as the reviews say.... WOW. I was actually surprised that this was the same owner as the stand at the farmers markets. So now i dont have to wait for a farmers market to get some goodies. I do hope the burritos come back though."
"We ran into this bakery on our way to Cali Kid burgers. It is new, clean, and the dessert selection looked great. We bought a few cakes and they were tasty. What lacked was the service. No greeting, not even a smile. No explanation or suggestion of what to try, best sellers, etc. The lady seemed out of it and not interested in our business. Sadly, that'll be the reason for not returning (lack of service). Take a lesson or two from your ice cream neighbor next door. Excellent ice cream and super friendly owners!"
"Such a tasty bakery! I've been here before but kept forgetting to write a review of this Hayward gem! Customer service is amazing. If it's your first time they will give you a taste of some of their special treats. My favorite are the raspberry jam cookies. However, this time I wanted to try the Nazook Cookies and cannolis. The nazook cookies taste like an almond croissant. They are soft, buttery, and sweet! The cannolis are fresh and tasty! I definitely recommend all Hayward residents to come and try this bakery. The baked goods are naturally sweetened and made with love and care!"
"Yummy bakeries. Reasonable price. Hard to find a great place like this anywhere anymore."
"We walked into this Fat Apple's Bakery because we were in a bit of a rush. We all ordered the chicken pocket pies which were delicious and well balanced between savory butteriness and saltiness. My mom ordered the cheese puff and said it was "REEEALLY GOOOOD!"We sat for a while and Carlos and Fatima offered us some samples or the strawberry pocket pies--absolutely delicious!Overall great experience! Will definitely come again next time we're in Berkeley! :)"
"The carrot cake from here and the frosted sugar cookies are to die for. I've been coming here since I was a kid and the sweets don't disappoint!"
"This place was really nice! The kind lady at the front was really sweet and the cake looked beautiful. I drove all the way from morgan hill for this for my mom! It was a success and tastes yummy. Would come again:) come here for a great cake! Eggless and very quick with the order."
