After visiting a couple of art galleries in San Francisco on Saturday, January 11, 2025, I convinced DJ that we should dine out in the city since we were already out. Remembering that he had been wanting to check out 21st Amendment for some years now, I suggested that we go here. DJ was immediately sold. After calling two to three times to no avail, we temporarily parked nearby, so that DJ could walk in to check if they were still open and serving dinner. Thankfully, they were open, but they didn't hear the phone ring. We reparked, then arrived shortly before 7:30 PM and were seated immediately. I had been at 21st Amendment before for a very enjoyable lunch with some colleagues back in November, 2019 and the place looked exactly how I remembered it.Venue: 4 stars. With concrete floors and walls with wooden tables and chairs & benches, the restaurant has a rustic and industrial air. Upon entry, patrons are greeted by the bar with seating and its attendants. They have an open kitchen from where the cooks can nod greetings to you. The entire space, including the women's restroom is kept clean & tidy. DJ's only complaint was that he did not enjoy some of the techno music that would play in between the salsa and reggaeton songs both of which I was totally digging.Food: 3 stars. In addition to the TALL HAT that DJ ordered and fully enjoyed, below-listed are the food items that we had.Soup of the Day, Gumbo ($7 cup) - I was given a couple of complimentary slices of toasted bread to accompany my New Orleans stew which were nice to dip in the broth and eat. I'm not quite sure what kind of meat was used, but there was no sausage. 21st Amendment's version of gumbo is more like a soup rather than a stew as the broth was not as thick as usual. The flavour was still good, but I did wish that there was okra. When I was at the bottom of the cup and asked how I liked the gumbo, I commented that I enjoyed it, but was surprised that it was completely absent of rice. Our server, Luis, went back to the kitchen to inquire, returned, informing me that the kitchen admitted to forgetting it, so with a new cup including rice in hand, he served the second serving to me and comped the cup from our bill. Wow, I was very impressed by how the matter was handled.Veggie Burger ($16) with Garlic Fries ($2) - DJ said that the sriracha flavour of the aioli was light/faint. He would have preferred a little more punch of spice from the condiment. The garlic fries were not bad.Baja Fish Tacos with mixed greens ($19) - The two tacos were very generous in portions and the fish were perfectly fried golden. I found the cod to be fishy in taste, so I gave my second taco to DJ. He did not notice any fishy flavour which is very interesting because he is a vegetarian and I expected him to notice it much more than I did. Weird.Meat Lover's PIZZA ($20) - We ordered two of these twelve inch pies for to-go for the boys. Both said that they were good.Service: 5 stars. As I mentioned before, Luis was our waiter and he delivered stellar service. As a former server, myself, I noticed immediately the excellent care we were given by him. The entire night, I kept commenting to DJ on every moment that Luis demonstrated his top-notch customer service. We will definitely need to come back...when Luis is working!

PROS: they made Hell or High Watermelon and it rules.CONS: they only have it on tap half the year??? (April-September)Stop the seasonal prohibition on Hell or High Watermelon and serve your beloved beer year round. Besides.... This is California. Seasonal? C'mon.

Walked up to this Lively Busy Brew Pub . It was before a Giants game . So, it was pretty busy . Even though it was busy we got a wonderful greeting and an estimated time by Julio at the door . What a friendly and thoughtful front door guy :) We got seated pretty timely . Our server was Cyn , what a fun and knowledgeable gal ! This staff makes this establishment! The food was great as well , we ordered Chili Tots to start . Super crispy w/ a nice spicy . Hubby ordered the Fish tacos that were nice and crispy. Super tasty spicy salsa . I had the perfect BLT on a toasted Sourdough:) ... Nice side salad w/ Blue cheese ( I substituted) Oh, yeah it's a brewery. Great Beer ! I had a Michelada and hubby had a Sully

Got some good ass beers from this South Beach neighborhood brewery. It also has a few better than average things on the food menu. 21st Amendment is a pretty relaxing place most of the time it seems. Has a bar area in the front along with the tables that are better for groups. Prices are a little high but not too crazy for a craft brewery like this. Convenient spot for going to before or after a Giants game. It's a couple blocks from Oracle Park. This brewery has won many awards for its beers over the years. Many from the Great American Beer Festival and the World Beer Cup. This place gets hopping crazy on game days, but other times it's quiet. It's about $8 for a pint. The best one of these we had the last time was the 21 Tigers. Lots of fruity flavors in it. There's notes of guava, passion fruit, peach, and tangerine. As for the food, there's typical bar food such as burgers. Some choices too for vegetarians. It's $12 for the Smokey Hummus. This is a pretty small portion, the only complaint about it. Has lots of great beers. It's also got pretty tasty food. This is one of the popular places for those going to games or whatever.

Such a fun place to go to before the Giants game! It's about 2 blocks away from the stadium so super convenient. I got their famous highwatermelon beer and it was excellent. We also shared some apps because we were starving. The fish tacos & warm spinach dip were tasty & standard.

Came here before a Giants game with some friends and it was packed. We had to wait for about 15 minutes in line outside. The inside is a wonderfully lively environment, and it was noisy but you could still hear each other for conversations.I ordered the Granada Pomegranate Cider and the Veggie Burger. The cider was great -- not too sweet, and the pomegranate flavor actually comes through well without just tasting like a juice. I loved the veggie burger! Some places have the veggie patty too mushy, but this place had it crispy and well-balanced with the other ingredients. The fries were also great and love the thick cut.The service was pretty good for how crowded the place was. My friends and I had a great time getting dinner before the game. Would come out again!

21st Amendment is a dependable dining and drinking spot, with fantastic brews on tap and tasty food. I've been in here a handful of times, and each time has been fun. Last time there I went with my partner and we enjoyed two of their seasonal beers; the one that stood out most was the Fireside Chat. It's a dark and flavorful brew that pairs exceptionally well with their chili, which is also delicious. It's prepared with free range beef, which impresses me. You seat yourself at the bar or a table. A server comes up pretty quickly. Once the food and drink arrives, you may have to raise your hand to get their attention for other stuff, but that doesn't bother me. It's a laid back vibe here; and I like that. That said, food and drink arrive pretty quickly... never an issue. Ceilings are tall, and there is an upstairs loft for private parties. It can get loud when crowded but not annoyingly so. Multiple TV's play sports games. It's a cozy, feel good kinda spot. They have excellent chicken wings, but I'd love to see a boneless option, with organic chicken, and a vegan option to delight my vegan friends... but that's just me being picky. I'll continue to return here. Great spot to hang with the friends, or for a low key date night.

21st Amendment on 2nd St has been a staple for thirsty Giants fans for decades, and though the brewery is now located in San Leandro, the old OG location still has a special place in my heart.Though I don't come here very often, places like these where not much changes because it doesn't have to, should be cherished.Obviously, as is tradition, 21st was packed before the Giants game tip-off. They also had Euro soccer final game on both TVs, which gave for some fun atmosphere. Our gang of 4 ordered pepperoni pizza, 2 orders of garlic fries and cauliflower, along with some house beers. The food was really good pub grub, but their garlic fries are one of the best I've tried anywhere. The seasoning is just spicy enough (similar to curry) and garlic is chunky and flavorful. The beers were good...not something I'd seek out, but nothing I've tried at 21st was bad. No mistake about it, Giants pre-game still starts at 21st Amendment

This is truly my favorite brewery for their beer. They have a beer called Hell or high watermelon, and I will go out of my way whenever I'm in the city to order it and or purchase it if I see it in a store.the service is fantastic. The only time I've ever been disappointed is when they closed early because the Giants game ended, which I totally understand where they were coming from. I've stopped in during conferences and gotten a quick bite for lunch as well as a couple of beers just to make it through the rest of the conference and I have zero regrets for that. I highly recommend you coming in and trying some thing of theirs. Their french fries are fantastic and again their beer is the best.
