Great little noodle place in Chinatown! They also sell to-go boxes of 8 baozi (steamed buns with different meat & veggie fillings), and frozen dumplings to take home a cook yourself.Staff was very friendly! The staff who was there at the time spoke limited English, but we were still able to order with ease. My dad ordered the beef noodles which he said he would not order again - not as full flavored as expected.Standout was definitely the oil spill noodles! Nice and spicy with tons of flavor. Would come here again just for this.

Great noddles and soups. My family and I enjoyed the beef noodle dish tremendously! The pepper on the table is hot af! But shouldn't all pepper be? The noodles were long and chewy just like you want them to be. The shop is small and quiet. Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking.

The interior's a little outdated - but we're here for the food right?Service is about what you would expect in Chinatown - but we're here for the food right? This place is self-service. You pick up the menu at the counter, order and pay up front. The menu is in Chinese but has English subtitles. We ordered the Oil Splashed Noodle with the optional beef, and the Beef Noodle. Prices were very reasonable and portions were big. The Oil Splashed Noodle were very flavorful (5/5) and not too spicy - I would definitely get them again. However, I would pass on the beef - it appears to be cold cuts of beef shank with tendon. Some folks might like it but it's not my thing. The Beef Noodle had hearty-tasting soup, but the noodle had an alkaline taste - we probably won't get it again (2/5).We saw someone else had the pan-fried bun. Looks interesting - would probably give that a try next time.

Food Oil noodles with beef: very good. The beef flavor with the noodles were very good! Carrot & glass noodles dumpling: these came hot and pretty good. We added chili oil and soy sauce and it was surprisingly good. Beef bun: this was not that good. I would just get a different dumpling

My recent visit to Northern Pasta was marked by a delightful discovery--the oil-splashed noodles. These noodles stood out with a delicious and unique smokiness that set them apart. What's notable is that they managed to strike a perfect balance--flavorful without being overly spicy. However, while the taste was on point, the portion left me with a minor qualm. The abundance of bean sprouts somewhat overshadowed the noodles, and a heartier serving of the delicious noodles would have been more satisfying. The ambiance was pleasant, and the service efficient. The menu offers a variety of options, and the oil-splashed noodles are undoubtedly a must-try. With a few tweaks to the portion balance, Northern Pasta could easily become a go-to spot for those seeking a unique and tasty noodle experience.

After hearing many amazing things about this place, I had to come try it myself. Located in the heart of Chinatown, if you are too full afterwards it's quite convenient to take a stroll in the grocery store that's in the same plaza and run errands.I ordered the popular oil-splashed noodles, which were very tasty. My only critique would be that there was a bit too much oil for my stomach to handle, and it left a bit of a stomachache afterward when it all settled down. After all the dish is titled oil-splashed noodles, not oil-soaked noodles. All in all the flavor including the chili oil was excellent, and it was well portioned and at a very reasonable price.I'm sure there are many other dishes that are worth a try so I shall return some other time while I am in H-town!

Walked in and waited a while to be acknowledged and orders taken. It never happened. Another customer tried to get the workers to notice me and told her she had a customer. She ended up losing me to Stone Age skewers next door. I was starving and was wanting to try these noodles but without service or a way to place an order, I'm not gonna wait super long till the lady notices me or wants to serve customers. I guess Stone Age or the other places next door will end up taking me. Stone Age was super friendly and accommodating and took orders right away

One of my go to spots in Chinatown. The interior is kind of dilapidated but it's a hole in the wall kind of place. Service is not the best and the staff isn't super friendly but the food is cheap and good. I think the owner cleans and waits the tables herself- she seems very hard working. Their chili oil noodles are my favorite. The noodles are just chewy enough and the flavor is good! I had the hamburger, it's ok and I wouldn't order again. The cabbage pork dumplings are pretty good. Good portion for the price. Trust me, Just give them a try!

I went here around 9am on a Tuesday and the place was bustling with my fellow Chinese folks! That by itself told me the food was good. And in fact, it mostly was, and I will detail below: Oil splashed noodles 5/5- long handmade noodles and very flavorful. For me easily the best tasting thing I ate. Just be okay with garlic breath the rest of the day. Lamb noodles 4/5- was good and broth was rich. Though it seemed to be lacking something. Maybe some acidity? Was also very bean sprout heavy so be aware if you hate bean sprouts. Chinese hamburger 2/5- I wasn't a fan. Meat was dry and the hamburger itself didn't look like the pictures on the wall or menu. Also, it's not too obvious, but to order food, you go up to the counter and the menus are available on the table. You don't have to wait for someone to seat you at a table.
