North Branch Pizza & Burger Company

North Branch was next to the hotel where we were staying. It opens late, around four pm. The service was exemplary. They even sat our table even though Mrs. K. and I had not made it. We were on the road from the Airport to here. I went to a pizza and burger place. I ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce. The bolognese sauce made this dish outstanding. The meat was short ribs. Game Changer!I could not finish the serving, so I took it back to the hotel. Our fridge did not work, so the next morning, I had to throw out the dish. That one hurt.

We went with the spicy Hawaiian and overall, I thought it was good. It has the perfect amount of heat and is balanced out by the pineapple. Not sure how I feel about the crust with this style of pizza though. For a pizza that's 80% crust, I'd expect it to have more flavor but it's kind of like cardboard. That's the style though, so I won't knock it since it must be my own preference.

We love the food at North Branch. This place has been 4 different restaurants since I move to the Chicago area in the early 2000's and this is the one that has stuck. The burgers are tremendous. I cold eat any one of them, every day of the week. However the other menu items are also fantastic. I loved the flavor of their fish tacos and the appetizers are great.The last time we were here my daughter ordered a Steak Fajita Bowl and I loved the flavor so much! The steak was great quality and the rice was perfectly cooked. The bell pepper in it was just a little crunchy and the seasoning was perfect... I vowed to get it next time we are in.The staff is always nice with our one complaint being that the kitchen tends to be a little slow. Maybe make this place the only place you go for an evening. You can have plenty of fun here anyway. The bar is also nice.

It's been awhile and our dinner with friends here was solid. The menu has improved and the quality of food too! We sat at a high top in the bar and had a good time. Our server was excellent and the timing of food was spot on. We enjoyed our salads, entrees, and sandwiches. A great spot!

Recommend dine-in only. Take out options recently changed (No DoorDash) and cheese sandwich went from a grade A 4 days ago (with DoorDash) to a grade D 2 days ago (self pickup). Slightly burned and not as hot is a bad combination. So choose dine in or choose somewhere else.

Really efficient takeout operation: clear signs when you walk in, everything is packaged well, and it was still hot by the time we got home. We're new to the area and trying out all the pizza options - we haven't had the same place twice. I think this will be the first for a return trip! Pizza was delicious with a great balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The bigger the cheese pull the better, and North Branch checked that box! Our cheese curds were good, but nothing exceptional.The dining room and bar were packed when I went in for pick up, so we'll have to try dining in soon. Clearly everyone else is!

I went there for the first time this past weekend. I didn't even know this restaurant existed, although later someone reminded me that it was also the kitchen location where Joe Donut makes their donuts each day, and that sounded vaguely familiar.I was with a group of 11, and we were seated within just a couple minutes of walking in at dinner time on a Sunday evening. That's one huge point in their favor!I'm kind of a Chicago thin crust pizza devotee, so I decided since pizza was in their name, and pizza seemed to be one of their big things, that's what I would order.I ordered the Triple Bypass (two different kinds of sausage, and meatballs), pub style, with the super thin crust. I was impressed that I had several options - deep dish, or thin crust, or super thin.The toppings were edge to edge, the cheese was toward the more well-done side, just how I like it, and the crust was as promised, super thin and crispy.I also ordered my usual drink (Makers Mark Manhattan, up, two cherries) cautiously, because this seemed like it might not be the kind of place where a classic cocktail was made properly. I asked the server, and she reassured me that it should be fine. I was pleasantly surprised when it was delivered, and it looked and tasted perfect.Our server handled our group of 11 with skill. She assigned us each a number, and quickly went around the table taking drink orders first, and then food orders, and everything came out fairly quickly and exactly as it was supposed to. Well done!I read the full menu even though I'd already decided to order pizza, and there are a lot of things on it that it sounds like I'd like. So I'm already planning a trip back, and will bring my husband with me this time.

Service was very bad - food was ok - we sat in the bar area with kids - that was ok but the waitress had our table and it looked like a private party off to the side - we had to get the hostess in the lobby area get us refills etc . Will give it a try during the week when less crowded to get the full experience - will update review then

Feels more like a bar with some food than a restaurant but this doesn't make it bad. It has lots of good drink and food specials to choose from. North Branch is a loud hangout in Glenview known for pizza. Also there's barbecue such as ribs and other kinds of meats. There's a few healthier options if you want any of those. Best thing about it is the specials they have on drinks and food. It has some kind of special every day pretty much. The Saturday one was $7 mojitos, so we got a few of these. Good flavor. The food is hit or miss. It's about $9 for the Village Hummus. This came with olive relish, toasted pitas, and vegetables. Good portion for the price to be honest. The pizza is probably the most popular. Has lots to choose from as far as drinks, and there's better than expected food. It has a lot of good sharing food including pizzas, wings, and that kind of stuff. There's all kinds of cheaper specials going on, so pick the best time by looking up the menu on the website.

My wife and I were seated in the back room and waited almost 20 minutes before anyone approached our table. There were 3 other tables back there who also looked like they were waiting for awhile. I even walked up to the hostess stand to ask if someone was going to help us and I was kinda shrugged off. Finally, the nice waitress with dreads saw that everyone was anxiously waiting and helped us. Bless her heart. I'm not sure if they recently suffered from staffing issues because the first time I visited this restaurant, everything was pleasant. When we finally received our food and drinks, everything was fine. I hope this restaurant can fix their problems because the food is pretty good.
