Awesome place for a large group, and the food is as good as the beer looks (I'm part of the Anti Social Sober Club, sorry. No reviews of the brew).Avocado on sourdough was filling, even for a guy who loves meat. Definitely upgrade your fries to include the duck fat; so damn good I may start raising ducks to try to make my own fries. The boy liked his hot dog, but that bar is pretty low.Don't miss this spot if you're looking to eat and maybe grab an adult beverage in old downtown Wake Forest.

Delicious Viking Burger! I highly recommend this place for an expensive but delicious burger like no other.

Tonight I had the Hefeweizen and black bean burger. We waited forever for our food, it was Saturday night, but don't come here hungry expecting quick service. The beer was good and the food was okay. They do offer live music and a great place to hangout. Next time I'll just come for drinks.

We live in wake forest and have been to Norse probably 10/15 times in the last 3 years. We hadn't been in a few months so we came by Saturday night for my husbands birthday. He ordered the viking burger with chips and I had the cheeseburger with duck fat fries. The service has never been amazing at Norse but the food and casual atmosphere has always brought us back. Our server was okay, not super attentive, but not horrible. Tonight though, our food was pretty sub par. My husband loves the viking burger, has had it on multiple occasions, but this time said it tasted like a frozen burger patty. It is supposed to be a thick patty with bison, elk, wagyu and boar, but this time he said it honestly tasted like it was a frozen burger. My burger was okay, but there wasn't a ton of seasoning and both just tasted pretty bland. We were pretty disappointed as Norse is one of our favorites for a casual mid week dinner. I'm wondering if they were jut so busy saturday night and the kitchen couldnt handle it/ if the chef/kitchen staff has changed?

Norse is a nice little bar with plenty of character.Different beers on tap some change here and there. While sitting at the bar you can see where they brew the beer.The food is amazing! I had the Viking burger- it was cooked really rare like I asked it had a mixture of bison, elk, wagyu and boar together which made it tender juicy and delicious. It came with a side of sweet potato chips, they were good.I also got to taste my husband's food which was Elk sausage it was tasty , the mustard they put on it was really good.My husband didn't like any of the sides offered and got their duck fat fries which we all tried and they were odd (we didn't eat them)Bathroom was clean service was good and fast.

I tried Norse the week they opened a few years ago, but am only reviewing this visit where I got a beer flight (no food). As someone who regularly tries higher quality beer from across the country, I can say this was very average. The "nitro" stout didn't feel like it at all...those should have a creamier consistency and what I got was not it. The amber lacked good flavor. If you're wanting somewhere to hang out in WF, this would be fine. The food may be more their gig than brewing beer.

Too busy. We should have just left. The servers were trying their best but it seems like the kitchen needs help. It probably took every bit of 75 min to get our food Servers did their best to accommodate us with a French fry appetizer and drinks but it was a long wait The place is super noisy .... Would have preferred to eat outside but the food was good I had a BLT that was delish. The duck fat fries were not the best. They were shoe string fries and cooked a bit too long so they were dry Would give it another shot on a less busy evening

Food was incredible! Duck fat fries are killer, highly recommend!Also amazing beer! Definitely worth a visit!

Food was dry did not taste good they didn't tell me the burger that I ordered was missing bacon terrible service all around bad restaurant

This is my first time leaving a yelp review, but I feel I have to after this experience. I've heard great things about this place, but I'm extremely disappointed. We came with a party of eight on Saturday night. After waiting an hour for our food, it arrives to the table. Every. Single. Order. had something wrong with it. Tomatoes on burgers when they were supposed to be taken off, no bacon on some burgers (no mention of them being out of bacon). Our server was absent most of the time, I had to tell the host that my order hadn't come as the rest of the table was almost halfway through their meal. Very disappointed. Drinks were good though.
