I was excited to finally try Nonno's since its sister restaurant Nobie's is one of my absolute favorites. However, Nonno's leaves a lot to be desired. The food was good but not great. It didn't have the flair and exciting flavors of Nobie's. The food feels cheaper/ more casual yet the prices are high. I found the old-school Pizza Hut vibes cute and fun. The service was mehh. When the waiter did come by he was personable but I had to ask for a dish we ordered 3 times because he said he kept forgetting to put the order in. Then he would disappear for long periods of time. When we did finally receive the forgotten dish, he said it was "on him" but charged us for it anyways. Annoying but fine. The green sag pizza was great but way over priced. Why on earth does it cost $22?! Also, they don't mention it had potatoes on it and my boyfriend is allergic so that's problematic. I probably won't go back. If the prices more appropriately matched the food, I would. But as is, there are better places.

We came in on a weeknight about 9. Place was more than half full. We were greeted & seated promptly. We ordered the chopped salad as a starter and shared that among the three of us. Salad was very delicious. Next we ordered two pizzas, Meathead & Fungus among us. Both were very good and I would order them again. But to be honest my favorite was the mushroom pizza. The place was neatly setup with a reel to reel playing the music kinda cool. I would make the hour trip to come back here.

Have been waiting to get to this pizza spot for a while! Went on a Saturday & joined a small line about 10 min before open at 5 pm. We had a great table with a high chair for my toddler by 5:05, noticed a great time to arrive would be 5:15 as the initial flow of traffic has been seated. By 6 pm it was completely full! There's quite a bit of parking spots in the lot & limited street parking as well. The interior is a cool but very clean 80s vibe. Love the interior & the arcade games are a fun addition. All of the salads coming out looked absolutely delicious, to start we got the Caesar & loved it. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks which were good but neither my husband or myself were crazy about the smoky marinara they came with. For pizza, we got pepperoni. Now this is where we may have not realized the pizza we were signing up for. This is not New York style at all, it is a thin crust Chicago style. I personally found my plate dripping with oil from the pepperoni's because the dough is so thin. Nothing wrong from a taste standpoint but I do wish they offered a more traditional pizza as well as the very thin crust they are known for. Service was great, we were in and out in about an hour. Very sweet staff was extremely friendly & accommodating to my toddler.

I went to Nonno's with a party of 4 on a Friday night and there were several good and not-so great aspects of the experience.1. The wait was over an hour. I almost gave it 3 stars for this because that's a bit wild (to be exact it was 1:15 wait) but it was raining heavily that night so patios were closed and also I think this speaks to how good the food is.2. If you're stuck waiting you can go to the tiki bar next door for a beverage. Fast service good cocktails.3. The parking lot is small. There is valet, but the wait to get into the parking lot and leaving my car with a valet was another 10 mins in waiting.4. The restaurant vibe is a mix between Indie retro diner and Pizza Hut. Music was a bit loud but overall it was nice, clean, and a good experience.5. The food (pizzas) were really good. I did a byop and tried the broccoli pizza and both were fantastic. Would definitely come back for that. But one thing to be aware of is that you can't alter the dedicated pizza menu. So overall the experience was good. If the things cited above are a regular occurrence (wait, parking, etc) this restaurant is definitely 3 stars, but I'm giving this the benefit that it was a freak weather night and going with 4. Food and staff were great!

This restaurant has an awesome interior and atmosphere. The playlist is so fun and the layout just feels so nostalgic. It is walk in only, so no reservations but we only waited about 30 mins or so. The staff is super friendly and they do offer bar service while you wait. Now let's get into the food....Mozzarella Sticks were ok, they were a bit too big for me but the cheese pull was top tier. Caesar salad was good, but there was a bit too much parsley mixed in. The wings were also good. Lastly, the pizza was good, served on a cracker thin crust so take that into consideration if you prefer something thicker. They do serve individual slices on focaccia bread. Overall the atmosphere alone would definitely allow me to visit this place again.

It felt like you stepped into 90s dinner with good music and scent of delicious pizza. Restaurant captures the essence of the 90s either its vibrant decor, retro menu cards, and vintage arcade games. Menu is pretty straight forward! From the traditional cheese to their custom make your own pizza options, there is something for everyone's appetite! We ordered their build your own veggie, classic cheese pizza and their mozzarella sticks which were most order! Perfect about of crispness and their sauce pairing was perfect! The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully soft on the inside. Toppings are fresh, and well balanced about of cheese to sauce ratio. No matter which pie you order, you're in for a treat. The staff is friendly and will help you navigate through the menu with any questions of yours and help you decide based on your preferences. Parking is little challenging as it shares it with other restaurants in the area so street parking is available around the corner if the lot of occupied. My only advice to those reading is, get there early! They sell out quickly and wait time do get long for a table as you get into the evening hours especially if you come with large groups. Overall love the food and their overall concept! Will definitely be back again.

What a fun place!! Love the lighting, the games, ambiance overall. We popped over after watching the Texans game at the bar next door. there was an hour~ wait and we politely asked if they could text us when our table was ready and the hosts were accommodating about that! We stopped at Toasted for quick beverage and then back to Penny Whistle before our table was ready. Ordered to share between 6 people: Two Caesar salads Mozz sticks with spicy marinara Bread and garlic confit Maui pizza Wise guy pizzaSide of jalapeños and side of ranch ($1-2 up charge for each) Our waiter Jairo was great. I'm sure he could tell I had been over served but was a great waiter the entire time. They sadly don't carry any of the Nobies famous desserts just cheesecake lol I wanted to love this food but I didn't. Nothing wow'd me immensely. I had been wanting to come for awhile cause this has been the year for pizza in Houston forreal and I've heard great things

Vibes are dog friendly & immaculately 80's pizza parlor. Service was spectacular. Food was good, but I'd order different dishes next time. We ordered the mushroom pizza (I am a fiend for shrooms), mussels, and Caesar salad. Caesar salad was the best I've ever had. Mussels were not much of a hit for me, and I'd most likely order a red sauce pizza next time. Crust was crispaaay as promised.

Personally I wouldn't eat here again. They don't live up to their prices. Came here on a Sunday and the vibe was nice. It has a retro aesthetic pleasing to the eyes. Walking in feels as if you are 80s time traveling. Pizza was good but could use more flavor (seasoning) 7/10Taylor street Rita was strong and I was tipsy off one drink!!! 9/10Vanilla bean cheesecake for desert tastes like a regular cheesecake. The sauce on top didn't provide any additional flavor and a garnish would help sell it more as a vanilla. 5/10
